Hotel Seeburg in St. Peter-Ording

🌍
Germany, St. Peter-Ording, Blanker-Hans-Weg 6
● Center: 2.3 km
🌞 Beach - 12 min

Guests appreciated the good breakfast and the option to have it in the room if timing was inconvenient. The hotel offers spacious and bright rooms with some having balconies and new bathrooms. Staff are described as friendly and helpful, providing a warm welcome and attentive service. Free parking is available with a sufficiently large lot, despite a narrow entrance. The location is quiet yet central, close to the beach and local amenities. Multiple reviews mention musty smells and old-fashioned, poorly maintained rooms with outdated furniture and decor. Lighting and electrical fixtures in rooms were often reported as difficult to use or non-functional. Some guests experienced no hot water, dirty surfaces including cobwebs and snot in bathrooms, and poorly cleaned carpets. Keys must be collected at a separate guesthouse about 500 meters away, complicating check-in. Staircases to rooms are steep and treacherous, posing challenges especially with luggage or mobility issues. Breakfast service is limited to strict time slots requiring advance registration, which some guests found inconvenient.

We had booked two nights with breakfast. The big surprise... we had to pick up the key at the Pension Silvan... about 500 meters from the hotel.

Then back to the Viking. A very old guesthouse... a very steep staircase leads to the rooms. You only reach the light switches after stumbling three times. Since I couldn't read the room number on the key, I tried rooms... it turned out to be room 9... I opened the door and a room straight out of the 60s/70s awaited us. Everything was clean, but the musty smell of decades past hit us. The light switches were a real challenge... we found the one in the room, attached to the socket, just before leaving.

Breakfast was good. When the coffee machine works, it's very good. The two ladies responsible for our well-being are very nice and helpful. The parking lot at the house is large and sufficient, although the entrance is a bit narrow.

All in all, our stay was okay; the excellent location was convincing, but the price for the room was far too high. I wouldn't want to spend a longer vacation there.

We stayed here a long time ago and had fond memories. But this time we were appalled. First, we had to get the key, then we could barely open the door because it was stuck. Then we were hit with a musty smell. On top of that, the lighting was poor, making it difficult to climb the steep stairs. The bathroom and bed linens were clean. However, we had no hot water. We will never book this accommodation again.

I stayed at the Viking Hotel with my daughter for one night last week.
The room was perfectly fine in terms of size, but for €151 a night, I could ask for a bit more cleanliness. The ceiling light was covered in old cobwebs, the baseboards hadn't been cleaned in ages, there was a rather large snot hanging directly above the sink in the bathroom (opposite the toilet, so you're constantly looking at it), and I booked a room with a smart TV... first, it wasn't a smart TV, second, it didn't work, and third, the staff brought a rather small replacement TV, but it only played two channels without any interference.
Conclusion: Far too expensive and dirty for the money.

Ancient, dilapidated, treacherous staircase, a tiny 2.50 x 2.50 room including bathroom, torn curtain, dim light in the bathroom, dirty public terrace – unacceptable! Hotel Silvana rents this room for €107. Upon departure, I was told at Hotel Silvana that it was only for construction workers anyway, that they shouldn't have rented it to regular guests in the first place, and that it's closing in six months, while they're still making money from it. They said I should understand why they couldn't properly renovate it. I am very angry.

Regarding the room, ours was number 7. The bed had a rather hard mattress, the furniture was quite old, and it had a distinct 80s feel. The carpeting was also quite old, and the rug was dirty and stained.

The antenna cable was very amateurishly installed, simply sloppily run through the wall.

There was a small adjoining room with a small couch and an old TV with a separate receiver.

The only bright spot was the new bathroom, although it was too small.

In the room of friends on the floor above, the hose from the hand shower was ripped off.

Breakfast was good, but first the drip tray was full, then there was no water, and then no coffee beans. We had to get some from another hotel.

The room wasn't available until 4 pm and had to be vacated by 10 am the next morning.

Overpriced, not worth the money.

Central, quiet location, close to the center and the pier. Rooms are clean, bright and spacious. ATTENTION: Breakfast can only be consumed at defined time slots that have to be registered the evening before. Unfortunately, we had caught 7: 30-8: 30 ... Alternatively, we got breakfast in our room the next day. The interior is robust in the 70s. Find it too expensive for the standard offered, but apparently normal in the town. The owner and the staff are very nice and helpful. Either with or with breakfast, I would like it. For 1 weekend ok to me.

We spontaneously looked for a room for an overnight stay with breakfast. Very warm welcome ... Thank you for that. A great breakfast that you put together the evening before. Nice and cozy room with a balcony. The bathroom was brand new with a large shower. We will definitely come back.

Nice quaint hotel. I have to say that the person / people who run the hotel can be a bit overwhelmed. I wasn't happy with the breakfast arrangement between 7.30am and 8.30am, but they allowed us to have breakfast in our own room the next day. The rooms were a bit dated but generally clean and spacious

Very nice hotel. Breakfast was always delicious and it could be ordered daily according to what you were hungry for.
Fine, keep it up
We are planning nicely for next year

Here you can spend your vacation in a pleasant way. The location of the hotel is very quiet but still central. The room was bright and very clean. The staff was friendly and the breakfast delicious. Only the decor of the hotel takes a bit of getting used to, but ultimately pleasant. I felt comfortable.
