Where to stay in Symi

We visited Symi in June 2025 as part of a Jet2 package, which meant spending the first night in Rhodes before taking the ferry to Symi the following day. The island itself is stunning, but Pedi Beach is quite basic. Lovely little Greek hotel in a beautiful spot in Pedi Bay. Small and friendly, excellent staff, all seem happy to be there. Our room 110 had a small side view of the sea in the distance. We were unable to upgrade to sea view as the hotel was full. A sea view would have been great. Meals were nice quality, small selection but hot and tasty. They had Lurpak butter, which was great! Spent our honeymoon at this amazing hotel, it was such a serene and peaceful experience. The staff were incredibly kind, respectful and helpful. Unrivalled rooms that transport you back in time (but with all mod-cons included discreetly, to make our stay 21st Century). The only downside was having to leave. If you want to treat yourself on Symi, this hotel will exceed expectations in so many ways.

Spectacular Hotel, with the best views ever I saw in my entire life, friendly staff I felt like I was at home, the rooms are amazing. Frankly I would come back again and again. They have been making my whole holidays like my dreams come true to this magical place.

What a wonderfully authentic place to stay situated on the Kali Strata. We were met at the Port having travelled from our home in Kalymnos. The stay was perfect, a lovely room with a great breakfast each morning. All of the staff were excellent and we plan to visit again in the future.

We stopped here for lunch as they had nice tables overlooking the harbour at the waters edge. We had a really good Margarita pizza and a nice beer. Nice location next tot he water and a bit of people watching. It was a good quality oven baked pizza with lots of flavour and cheese. The drinks and food came promptly but not much engagement or smiles from the waiting staff.

We had a fabulous stay at Nireus. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The view from the balcony was stunning. The room was clean and in order as one would expect and well stocked. I look forward to returning to Nireus and the beautiful island of Symi. Thank you to the staff

We were lucky enough to spend a few days in this gorgeous hotel with such an fabulous location. Right on the waterfront the views from our room were spectacular. Easy to walk to dozens of great restaurants along the quaint harbourfront. Truly a gem.

Our stay at Nireus Hotel in Symi was absolutely wonderful. The location is simply perfect: right by the water, within easy walking distance to everything you could possibly want to see or do on the island. Beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting. Stayed in a sea view room with spectacular views. Lovely little balcony just perfect for enjoying a glass of wine and people watching. Everything in the room you would require, very clean and plenty of towels. Staff were amazing, friendly and informative. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you for a great stay.

We spent a week over there and it has been a great experience. The rooms are nice and terrasse & personnel very competent and friendly. I'll give 4/5 for rooms because the air conditioning doesn't go below 21C when you want full freshness (the island has almost no wind) and the windows do not close easily, always a pain and you hear this at rooms next door too.

Gorgeous property in a garden setting. I would have liked deep cleaning of atleast the bathroom during my stay. The other option would be to leave a broom and dustpan in the studio. Location is very convenient. Basic facilities but that was expected. More utensils needed for the kitchen and a toaster would be nice. Excellent location, cozy atmosphere enough rooms for four persons, everything you need for your stays at the location. They lost one star because of the air conditioning. There were only one in two space room and this one was front of the double bed direct to your face!

Great full studio with nice decorations. The location is perfect also. Staff is also very friendly. The only bad thing is the WiFi does not reach the back rooms.

Very cozy and beautiful hotel. Familiar and alternative. Rooms were spacious, clean, simple but cute. We had room 10 on the second floor where we could sit on the porche and enjoy the sunset. Lovely!
