Aquarius Village Agistri

Arriving at the hotel we were welcomed by the friendly staff and waited for our room. Our first impression was quite nice but thats where the fun stopped. As soon as the nice lady showed us the room, she informed us that we weren't allowed to set the A/C temperature below 23 Degrees C because otherwise the A/C could be damaged and we would then be responsible for that and would have to pay for a replacement. On the doors they where A4 paper signs informing us that in case we damaged the linens, towels etc. we would have to pay accordingly. The linens were stinky and obviously not clean. In the bathroom instead of a proper ventilation there was just a hole in the ceiling with a metal pipe. In order for us to shower we had to combine scolding hot water from one shower head and really cold from another one. And to top all that we couldn't get a decent nights sleep, or any sleep for that matter, because of the club that operates on the other side of the street. There was incredibly loud music playing until 5am! When we contacted the local police station the officer informed us that the club owner is the son of the islands mayor and because of that there is nothing they could do. The next morning when we tried to find a solution with the hotel owner we were told that we could eventually change room and go to the next one, which obviously wouldn't solve the extreme sound problem. We left and lost 1 week's worth of payment and went to another hotel which was in a better location, far more beautiful, clean and cheaper! All in all it was a terrible experience, wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
