Where to stay in Mastichari

We had a good week eventhough it was the end of the season. We liked the sports, pools, the food and the service. We had two twin beds which was very sad and the room in general was small. Would recommend though.

Drains issues (so no toilet facilities and water intermittently) and tired looking rooms however the food and overall setting are great.

Gaia Royal is probably one of the best resorts we've stayed. Rooms cleaned daily so very clean. Mini zoo for kids and also mini golf, several kids play, tennis, football, basketball court, 3 very good pools with bars. All right...so about the Gaia Royal... To far away from the sea, the swimming pool are not very clean, so I think they don't filter the water. In the beginning of the resort (the kids swimming pool) there is a very bad smell( I don't know how people stay there). Very positively surprised about the hotel for the price. Delicious food and huge variety of choice. Lots of pools,different depths and loungers all around, pool bars around them. Sandy beach is wonderful and very close to hotel. The only advise I would give is to buy water bottles as local water taste horrible (although doesn't affect hot baverages in hotel). Wonderful staff who are so quick and efficient thanks to their mix of students studying Travel or Hotel Tourism type studies. Really was one of our best 5 star holidays and no regrets.

We loved our stay at the resort, but let me first mention what we didn't like. The cappuccino costs 4.5 euros. The kids' program is in German. Why? I don't get it. I'm not German. To say we were disappointed is an under statement! 5 star it is not! There were a lot of weeds by the pool, toilets out of order and leaking everywhere. I do not expect a 5 star hotel to have manky shower curtains! The room was adequate but only cleaned every other day and not to a good standard. Great hotel. Very good food, plenty to choose from. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are delicious, with local produce, fruits, vegetables, and cheeses. Overall good hotel. Room numbers a bit old, but service is good and very good people who works there. Beach close to the hotel and mini market and car rental right in front of hotel is nice benefit either. But for active young couple a bit boring, this hotel more for the family with kids or elder people.

There were upgrades available. They showed up all our options and the additional prices. We chose one of the upgrades. This room was large and comfortable. They remembered our names.

Very nice hotel, people working there were very nice and friendly. There were not many attractions nearby, but there was not really any need for them, because every night there was some event happening at the hotel at one bar. If you didn't want to participate you could go to the second bar near the beach which was really quite and nice to talk.

Just had a great week here with my grandchildren and 4 adults. The hotel was so clean, food great with loads of variety and children catered for. Hotel was fully booked but it never felt like there were too many people and no problem getting a sun lounger at either pool or the beach. We enjoy the hotel very much, the people are nice and the Food is pleanty. The beach is beautiful but when its too Windy there is not enough space for everyone at the pools and the drinks that are AI are not really tasty because they Taste very chemical.

Perfect for families with children. The staff is outstanding and very responsive to answer any questions you might have. They are quick in responding to your emails. It's a little bit of a walk to the beach. Every complex has their own little pool in addition to the super size pool in the middle of the complex.

Lovely clean hotel. We went all-inclusive so had a good selection of food and drinks. Plenty of sunbeds and pools so it never looked busy. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing holiday I would recommend staying here.

The Gaia Palace is a lovely hotel one of three sister hotels in the same area, although we only went into the grounds of the other two, the Palace appeared to be the best, the grounds at the Palace are very nice and well kept.
