Nefeli Wind Club in Vasiliki

I had a reservation form Airbnb app in which the host never rejected, neither replied to my messages even though he read them. When we arrived there he informed us that she wouldn’t be able to stay because we booked only for 1 night and it’s a trouble for them to change the sheets the day after. An information that it wasn’t never informed to us.

nTHINK TWICE, They may CHARGE TWICE TOO.
That's what happened to us, in June, this year: We payed in advance on the 6th of May, then, after we arrived, they notified Booking that the card was refused.

We were surprised because my card had credit enough but the Island had terrible NET connections and I couldn't access my information, and I didn't took my card, so my partner payed with his credit card, but not in their reception, they have none, we payed in their Beach bar, no receipt from the hotel.

When we got home, I checked with my bank, and confirmed the payment had been made on 9th of May!

I notified Booking, they contacted Nefeli hotel and they argued that we rented 2 accommodations because the receipt of the payment stated local purchase (still waiting for may bank to explain who establishes that status - anyway we presented proofs as we were not in Greece in May)!

We demanded that they presented a receipt from the alleged second accommodation (of course they had none).

fortunately, Booking took charge of the matter and refunded us, but this was a stressful situation.

The Hotel could have easily confirm my payment (made more than 1 month before) but they saw an opportunity for something else.
When confronted, instead of admitting an error -which given the circumstances, clearly was not (1 month is more than enough for bank transactions to be confirmed and this was a non refundable reserve) -, they tried to convince Booking that we rented another accommodation...

On Booking.com they present photos from other Nefeli accommodations, they dismiss the critics saying it's not the same hotel but the owners are the same.

Take your conclusions and if you believe this wont happen to you, then, take the risk.

They mislead people and give a room that doesn’t match the description. Tiny rooms at street level, where you can hardly breath, you can’t move comfortably because there is no space. They use a picture of a building in the waterfront but they give you a different building. They cancelled our reservation on Booking so that we couldn’t leave a bad review. Terrible place, terrible people. They should be fined for this illegal procedures. Also, it was clean (we found trash under the bed). The shower terrible, without a curtain it was really uncomfortable.
