Heliophos Boutique Caves in Oia

This place was an amazing experience.

The owner was friendly, helpful and kind.

The room was a really unique experience.

The location was perfect (all of the benefits of Oia with none of the crowds)

And there was the sweetest cat ever called Lilika who deserves five stars in and of herself!

An authentic Santorini experience in the outskirts village of Finikia. It has been a home away from home feeling together with the warm hospitality from the hosts, Ilios and family within the comforts of the boutique caves modified from their medieval origins. There is a tendency to be carried away into oblivion of time, sitting on the patio terrace, gazing at the extraordinary sea view and blue sky while soaking the sunshine, fanned by a cool breeze. Simultaneously my humble culinary skills permitted preparation for the plentiful items of Hors d' Oeuvres, churned from the adequate facilities provided in the kitchenette area . The rugged mountain landscape fringing Finikia have walking trails connecting Oia to Fira. We set foot on this lovely walking trail with intermittent stops to eventually find out reaching Fira within 15500 steps. The view of the sunset was amazingly captivating, giving way for the skies to be painted in dazzling shades of pink while fading away into dusk. I enjoyed more personal moments at HELIOPHOS in comparison to the bustling commercial centre of Imerovigli.

The room was clean and bed was comfortable . It was in a quiet location and was about 20 mins walk to the busy area. There is a minimarket nearby. Katrina was so nice and let me have early check In as I arrived early due to flight schedule. Will definitely come again

20 minute walk to oia, 10 minute walk to the nearest bus stop but keep in mind the bus schedule is very unpredictable. We loved our stay at the caves, away from the hustle and bustle of oia. Sophia was an excellent host and provided orange juice as a welcome drink.

Amazing hotel! We stayed here for our honeymoon while we were in santorini. It’s nearby 3 restaurants which were all delicious. It’s a 20 min walk to oia, but a 10 min walk to one of the bus stops, which I recommend getting on there. The hotel is not a traditional hotel but moreso beautiful traditional Greek caves. Ms. Sophia was there the whole time and helped us if we had any questions. I recommend getting picked up/dropped off by pink Freud villas, then it’s a simple 4 min walk with your luggage

I cannot stop talking about how beautiful this place was the owner was wonderful and accommodating they provided breakfast for his every morning cleaned our rooms helped us with getting ATVs to check it out and catching a ferry the next couple of days after

Easy access to oia and it's castle. Good hospitality. Decent room quality.

When you reach the carpark, you should go further right and follow the signs there.
