Egilsstadir, Lagarfell 3, 700 Fellabaer, Vostochnaya Islandiya, Islandiya (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
One of our favorite places to stay during our 10day trip on the ring road. Kitchenette well stocked, comfy beds, able to do laundry. Highly recommend.
Due to an unexpected change in U.S. visa policies, I was unable to travel. The host has been very responsive and flexible throughout the cancellation process, which I sincerely appreciate. I would choose this hotel again if I have the opportunity to visit Iceland in the future.
Clean spacious room. Kitchenette perfect for making a small, hot meal. Just down the road from Vok Baths
I like there is a microwave in the room. Also there is laundry in building for people to share.
Adequate. Very limited check-in window of time.
Absolutely impeccable place with everything you need for a good nights stay. Hostess was wonderful. Quiet place. Washer/ Dryer was free which was a huge plus for us. Reasonable prices. Would stay there again and recommend to others.

Everything was great! Clean rooms. Delicious, hardy, dinner options. A lot of breakfast options. Complimentary tea is always available. Great place to see the northern lights from. Would stay again!
The staff greeted us quickly and gave us a tour of the place at check in.
The room was clean and perfect for our needs.
The catfish at dinner was cooked perfect.
The breakfast was excellent and we never ran out of the essentials.
We saw the Northern Lights over the hotel that evening.
I'd stay here again for sure.
Thank you for you hospitality!
The outside of the hotel looks a little old but the inside is much newer. We had a great stay here for 1 night as we drove around the island. The location was great, short drive to Studlagil. Everyone was really nice we had a great stay.
My husband and I stayed here one night during our Ring Road trip! Everyone who worked there was so kind and the rooms were clean and beds were comfy! Location is perfect for exploring the Studlagil Canyon! Didn’t give it 5 stars because we entered through the non-hotel side (it was the only door unlocked at the time) and it was a bit creepy and the food was just okay but the service was superb!
Good place to stay for one night, the restaurant staff is very nice to accommodate my late request for dinner.
Very friendly staff, quiet location and close to Studlagil canyon. Dining option is limited but the restaurant at the hotel is good. Breakfast is served included, a big plus since food is expensive in Iceland. Definitely Will stay again in the future.

Room was cold, took awhile for radiator to warm up room
Beautiful location! Extremely comfortable rooms! Only negative is the kitchen facilities didn’t work ideally for cooking. Stove is subpar. Would recommend to anyone and stay again though!
Well equipped large shared kitchen, comfy beds, everything was very clean.
Very clean. Nice to have own washroom. Also nice to be able to use cooking facilities that were kept very clean.
Very nice guest house quiet location off he beaten path.
Nice place to stay, especially when travelling around. Very clean, has all the amenities you need, while also having nice rooms

Egilsstadir, Vinland 700, 700 Fellabaer, Vostochnaya Islandiya, Islandiya (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Stayed in a camping pod. The rooms themselves were pretty cute and cozy, but they didn't come with any linens, only one blanket and a pillow with no pillow cover. You could rent linens for 2000 ISK. In the shared restroom, the toilet itself was clean, but the bathroom was not. There was no soap, and the paper towel dispenser was out. It was cute, but I wouldn't stay again.
Great cottage with good facilities, good sized bedrooms and a patio. Shower was also excellent. Easy to find, check in, park and a short drive to the town. Stayed for two nights as a family. One minor complaint was the smoke alarm was on the kitchen counter without a battery and we got no reply from the owner when we messaged about this.
The rooms are fairly basic, but offer everything one needs for an overnight stay. You can even make some coffee, it has a refrigerator, which was convenient to store our things. The place is clean, the check-in is easy and the location is easy to find. There is a large parking space in front of the house.
The guesthouse is in the middle of road 1 near Eglisstadir where you have gas station and convenience store. The room is spacious and there’s enough parking space outside. The shower is excellent and there’s bed is comfortable. Amazing view from the porch. Very good experience
Amazing location — 5/5! The hotel was clean and comfortable, which I really appreciated.
Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi wasn’t working during my stay. That’s a major downside, especially for travelers who rely on it for work or planning.
Fix that, and it could easily be a 5-star experience.
Space with everything a traveler could need, from a microwave, coffee maker, and an excellent table.
Very quiet place
Good comfort, friendly staff, well located.
We had a problem when we took a shower, an unbearable smell appeared and the room had to be aired out immediately. We contacted support and they told us it was a problem with the water, when it heated up it gave off that smell. We always thought...

Had to carry heavy suitcases up and down two flights of stairs. Shared bathrooms weren’t as much of a nuisance as expected. Very clean guesthouse and surprisingly quiet. The best Aurora show of our trip was here. Great breakfast!
Shared bathrooms were dirty due to other guests. There should be a sign indicating the toilet seat should be lifted prior to urinating! Nice facilities, good and friendly staff, lack of breakfast options
We stayed here for one night and enjoyed it very much. The location is beautiful and we had a very warm welcome by the friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious with many homemade foods such as bread, jam or hummus. Thank you very much!
The bedroom is clean but it would be good if a small work desk could be provided
Staff are friendly and helpful
Everything was clean and comfortable, many toilets and showers on perfect condition, beautiful location, good price. Had a playroom and eating room suitable for our baby. No kitchen but hot water and tea available all the time. No laundry.
Amazing please to stay, the staff very polite and informative, the are many activities around . The guest house is big. You have a library on the second floor, an amazing room to work or read. The breakfast was wanderful with bread cooked at home. You have areas for walking long distance in nuture. The shower and toilet is common but it is big enough and clean so no worries. Amazing please ! 🙏

We were the only guests but the whole apartment was very clean. They had a good equipt kitchen. We enjoyed our stay and would travel there again :)
Cool guesthouse in Iceland.
Wonderful location, place, price and service. We love here.
We had an amazing stay! Super friendly staff and a stunning kitchen! We had no problem with the shared bathroom and showers. The Guesthouse is really quiet and super clean. Definitely recommend a visit at the Vök baths close by!
The guesthouse is ideally located: The Vök Bath, where we enjoyed relaxing in the evenings, is just a few minutes away by car.
The rooms are relatively large, very clean, and the bed, including the pillow and blanket, was exceptionally comfortable – you really sleep well.
I would particularly like to highlight the large communal kitchen. It is modernly equipped and offers several cooktops, so all...
Very very nice kitchen and common area. The staff is kind and the rooms are clean. The bathrooms are also decent.
This is a nice guesthouse with a massive industrial kitchen and a spacious common space.
I could see where people would be upset about the lack of receptionist but they send very clear directions and we had no issues with self check in.
Quad room was a bit small for our family of 4 but overall the value is good. The rooms were quiet (even with being very close to the bathroom).
There is a great...

Egilsstadir, Fagradalsbraut 9 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
this place was nice, I even got upgraded and sent to a nice room across the street in their sister guest house. However I was situated directly opposite the bathroom, where other guests were in and out of throughout the night and other guests were talking and I could hear them. I had a bad sleep and it was ashame as I had to drive quite far the next day. I wouldn't stay here again for this reason.
Clean and quiet. Kitchen is available with coffee but bring your own cream or milk as none was available when we were there. Overall great for a nights stay.
Nice, clean and pleasant guest house (operated by sister guest house across the street). Large common area and well-equipped kitchen. Located above the post office in the sleepy town of Egilstadir, where there's no town center or restaurants of note, it serves as an excellent stopover between the southeast and north of the country.
