Egilsstadir, Miðvangur 5-7 (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Not far from shops and eateries. Unfortunately it was a Sunday and none of the shops were opened. So not much to do. Next to petrol station.
Room is fine. Service is fine.
A small hotel, even some hair was found on the bed
Hotel in good location, next to super market and eateries, quiet at night. Room is clean, comes with great heating, bed is comfy and clean (except pillow a bit soft).
Shower water pressure is strong and easy to control water temperature with stable hot water.
Will recommend this hotel for anyone visiting this area.
Conveniently located clean room and friendly & helpful check-in Staff
The single bed seems small, also there is no heating in the room?
Great place, clean and comfortable. Lots of parking space. Helpful staff. Saw the northern lights from the room.
This is my second times for the stay, really loved the design and the amenities

The room was so clean and lovely! The beds absolutely comfortable, and the staff were so kind and genuine. I felt very safe here, and enjoyed the beautiful complimentary breakfast they offered! Would happily stay here again!
friendly and helpful staff, arranged a ground floor room immediately when I informed him of my knee injury. good breakfast and original pizza👍🏻
An obliging receptionist arranged an early check in. Good buffet breakfast. The door lock was super difficult to use. Smart TV had no free channels.
It is good simple hotel. Clean and neat.
The room is very small, and there is no space for things, even in the bathroom tub. Breakfast ends at 9 o'clock, and the food is average. This is an average hotel experience along the way in Iceland!
There are not many hotel options in Eilstadır. This hotel is one of the least choices. It is right in the town, convenient for refueling and traveling, but the price is a bit expensive compared to the hotel facilities.

Centrally located close to domestic airport, gas station and supermarket. Hotel appears to be converted from an old building but is nicely maintained with a charming lobby. Room size is bigger than other Iceland hotels. Shower is only separated from toilet by a shower curtain, so bathroom would get a bit wet but not a big issue. Both dinner and breakfast are good. Better reserve for dinner as it gets...
Located in a beautiful town service was very nice and breakfast was optimum
Great service, great environment, great hotel
The rooms are average, and the restaurant is a feature of the hotel, with an antique feel. There is a horse farm nearby, and there is a smell in the air.
A hotel in a great location. The room has a window and table that looks like it came out of Chekhov's comedy, and the view outside the window is also like that. This made us feel very good.
The staff and food in the restaurant were also great, especially the homemade ice cream was very delicious.
On this day, we saw the most beautiful Aurora during our trip to Iceland and had a pleasant night....
The hotel has its own charging pile but we didn't use it because when we arrived at night and parked our car, we thought it was a parking space for disabled people. We only found out it was a parking space for people with disabilities when we woke up the next morning. . It is unclear whether it is a cooperative charging pile. . A very cosy, clean and convenient place to stay if you are exploring the area. We stayed just for 1 night and it was perfect. There is a microwave oven also in the room to warm up ready meals from the supermarket if you are on a budget.
Amazing hotel at Eggilstadir.
Great place to stay! Very easy check in, was clean and had everything we needed! Would definitely stay again
Comfortable
Comfortable place
Nice suite. Comfortable bed. Mini kitchen available. Good water pressure in the shower. Close to restaurants and the grocery store. Porch available - weather permitting.
Didn’t expect the room to be of hotel standards. Spacious, nice toilet with huge shower, a small efficient kitchen equipped with everything we need. Table for 2 to done on, table for 2 outside the patio for us to have breakfast during the summer. And we had the best sleep on the softest bed:)

Big campground with separatepart for tents
Great and clean facilities, 2 inside cabins for cooking, 1 stove only but with some pots & pans, even water cooker. Allthough not heated inside, got a bit cold so we put on the stove and worn our jackets
Dishwashing outside with hot water next to showers; toilets.
Farmer who owns this campground will collect fee in cash or with card in late afternoon
Super clean toilet and hot showers. Plus point is the friendly owner who pointed out the northern lights to us :-) Highly recommend this campsite if you are staying in the Eastfjords!
Host is amazing! First host of all campings to receive us and treat us in such a kind way. We are so happy we stayed here.
Jice bathrooms, nice and cozy cottage for dinning. Excellent views of the lake
very nice camp, host is extremely polite. good wi-fi, hot showers included and extremely reasonable price ~1500isk per person.
It was rather pricey for a campsite 4000 ISK for 2 people in a campervan. They take card payment. However the hot shower is included and the shower room is spacious and heated. There are 2 toilets and 2 showers at this facility. There is a common room which has a kettle but if you were cooking would need to bring your own portable stove. There is a sink with hot water to use for cooking/washing up...

Nothing wrong with the cottage we had, but e.g. the shower drain did not work properly. The breakfast was good, but more attention to tidiness while more people use it, is appreciated.
The cabin we originally booked was too hot in May, so luckily they changed our room!
Omar and his team gave us fabulous service
The breakfasts are substantial and lots of variety
Whilst being a little out of downtown this hotel is family owned and it was nice to support a local business
The room was sunny and clean. Although small, it was well-equipped.
The only downside was the soundproofing, which could be improved.
But for a B&B, the environment was great. Although it's a bit far from the city center, parking and viewing the northern lights were both very convenient!
The landlady was a lovely and welcoming lady. She asked me where I was going the next day and how to get there, fearing a road closure or something would delay my trip (but I ended up breaking the traffic ban and going to the Professor camera position on Prometheus. The room was big enough with comfy beds. The whole place was very clean and there is a very well equipped kitchen with everything you need (coffee, tea, toaster, kattle, fridge, plates, cutlery, etc). The location is amazing with a great view to the lake.
One of the best stays in Iceland. Amazing. There's everything you need here.
Price 2000 per adult (sleeping car). You have to call a number since the reception is closed. The showers and the bathroom are very good, clean and very warm. The common place to eat and cook is very small though, we were lucky that the weather was good so many people were cooking outside.
Very clean easy self check-in and out experience. Kitchenware is very clean. They have the essentials like pot silverware and oil+salt+pepper.
We stayed here as our camper broke down. Very clean, friendly and responsive staff. Well equipped shared kitchen and dining area. Comfortable rooms with private bathrooms. The owner came to check on us the following day to make sure everything was ok and to see if we needed to stay another night.
Definitely recommend.
Nice and clean camping. Two showers free of charge and two toilets, all very clean. Lovely lake view in the front and mountain view in the back. After 32 campings on our tour here was this one the most expensive, 5500Kr for 2 adults, electricity and campervan.

The hotel environment is good, the room is clean, but the kettle needs to be borrowed from the front desk
I saw the most beautiful aurora at 1001, which added a lot of points to the hotel. For me, the lack of a kettle or coffee machine in the room was a defect, and there was nothing to drink.

I booked this cabin last minute on a solo road trip due to being unhappy with the hostel I had booked. It is out of the way and the drive to get there is about 15 minutes from town. Awesome place for camping. We had no problem finding a spot as there were almost no people there. Nice hot showers. Clean toilets. Friendly staff. Would go there anytime again.
Price 1x adult was 1500.00 ISK
We spent the night in the camping site. Very private with extremely clean toillets and showers. The showers had shampoo and included towels for your feet. Best campsite so far (albeit humble)
Very nice camping. The owner is so nice and pleasant! There are a little bit more private places for your camper, also open spaces if you like camping in a group. It is quiet and cozy. Loved this hotel! Very spacious family room with the most amazing view over the bay. Excellent beds. One double bed in a very cute alcove, extra dark for the long daylight nights in Iceland. Small fridge with bottles of water. The combination of modern comforts and picturesque touches of past times. From here we made some beautiful hikes and enjoyed our meals and the best breakfast in all of Iceland...
My whole group loved this hotel! The room was amazing and Seyðisfjörður is possibly the cutest, most picturesque town I've ever visited in my life. Only wish we had had more time and been able to stay an extra night. The hotel is right on the fjord, so beautiful views, and the breakfast offered in the main building down the street was very good. I would definitely stay here again!
We stayed at many hotels in our ring road trip and especially enjoyed our stay here. Our hosts were kind and accommodating, breakfast was fantastic, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Seyðisfjörður is beautiful!

Good price for a nice, clean spot that has access to laundry and will provide a good night's sleep. Very nice place and food. The people were very friendly. Rather off the beaten track.
The homemade lamb pate deserves a special mention. It was delicious
The hotel itself is okay for Icelandic standards! Rooms are simple but clean! We had one bad experience! As the hotel was poorly booked, they did not offer any meals! So we had to drive 29 km for the next restaurant! Ensure yourself that you get dinner before you go to that remote spot!
Very clean, spotless. Comfortable and a great location surrounded by beauty. Just a warning - breakfast is good but not free.
We stayed at the little campsite close to the guest house. It is very silent, with the sound of the river passing close to the guest house. The campsite is sheltered from the wind by the hill which makes it even better.
The shower is hot and clean, it even has a heater! There is electricity in the bathroom and the free WiFi of the guest house reaches both the bathroom and the campsite.

We had an absolutely wonderful dinner at the Taergesen restaurant. The cook and owner of this restaurant, the Blue Fox pub, the motel, and a nearby hotel. She is amazing. This is the site of the story line of the series Fortitude.

One of the best equipped hotels we stayed at in Iceland. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast spread was amazing.

Great location- but a few things that need working:
