Really enjoyed our stay here and would return. Clean, comfortable and nice decor (despite being a boarding school). Swimming pool and running track nearby. A good location to base ourselves for visiting Lake Myvatn and Husavik.Good breakfast too.

A really nice accomodation with comfortable and clean beds, nice rooms and good breakfast. The view is astonishing and there is even a private hot tub free to use right in front of our door. Icelandic horses are right in front of our room, a mother and its foal. So cute! And we saw some soft northern lights!

Clean simple rooms, breakfast was nice standard fare, and they even had real maple syrup for the pancakes. The owner was so nice - it was about 15 minutes after breakfast was officially over (10a) and she asked the kids if they wanted more pancakes. Definitely caring, kind hosts.

We were on this farm in August 2021, it was a very nice stay, good breakfast, very nice spacious rooms and really nice hosts. Don't be afraid of animals if you stay here, sheep, chickens and their dogs Bruno & blueeye roam freely on the farm (I particularly enjoyed that). We enjoyed it very much, it was one of our nicest stays.

Easily the best place I have stayed on my trip around Iceland! The owners are the nicest people who make you feel so welcome. The rooms are great and the breakfast is homemade deliciousness. I will make staying here again top priority the next time I visit Iceland!

It was lovely and warm. The cottages facilities were satisfactory for our needs. The location was very convenient for exploring the Myvatan area. The views were fantastic, and would have been perfect for auroras. The Hot tub was excellent, easy to use and really nice way to warm up when it was -10c.

The unit we occupied was between two others. So, a little like a motel, but with a lovely rural atmosphere. Lovely little table set on the deck which overlooked the pastures. At the corner of the building was a hot tub which the owner filled upon arrival with geothermal water, which was then emptied after we'd gone to bed. A cozy room in a quiet place with an amazing view, at a very honest price. The bathroom is super and the kitchenette very useful. We didn't even see the hosts but they provided us a nice breakfast with coffee, milk and fresh eggs. Would have stayed longer!

We stayed at Langavatn Guesthouse for one night during our trip around Iceland. Customer service was amazing, and the rooms were clean and nice. Wow! Oli is a welcoming host and the property is sweet, natural and lovely. Tucked at the end of the road and adorned with terns the home features a hot spring in the backyard with a true hot pot, over 100 F. Poor value for money We arrived for check in and given a very comfortable, clean but basic room. Parking was just outside. Only a minor downside, as you will be aware hotels are not good value for money in Iceland, but all the TVs were being upgraded so the current ones didn’t work. The hotel is easy to find and it’s a short walk to the town. It’s right next to Jaja ding dong bar (Eurovision movie fans!) and you get free entry to the Eurovision exhibition there if you show your hotel booking. We actually did not stay at the hotel but we came here to go to the Ja Ja Ding Dong bar in a snow storm (Dec 30th 2022). The hotel and the bar were closed, but a super nice guy named Orli let us in and showed us the exhibition of the fire saga! AMAZING! We are going to come back in summer, when the hotel is open and we are definitely going to stay at the hotel! 😍

We stayed in a brand new cabin and although the door was fussy, it was cozy and served its purpose. I liked looking out over the lava flows to the lake.

Stayed in the bed and breakfast area. Good tidy rooms with decent bathrooms. Breakfast starts at 7am which was great with a selection of breads, meats, fruits, yogarts etc. Best part is the lack of light pollution making it a great place see the northern lights.

Wow!! One of our favorite stays in Iceland. Common areas are nice but the rooms are on the smaller scale. Sink in the bathroom was so tiny that it was very difficult to wash my face. Pillows were way too flat and had zero support. Breakfast was nice but same as everywhere else in Iceland. Dinner had a normal Icelandic price tag but don’t order the lasagna or mushroom soup.

The view is beautiful, the staff very friendly (and they know a lot about the area) and the breakfast is good. But the rooms are tiny and smell of eggs (especially the bathroom) and I don't like that you only get one room key. Also we weren't allowed to sit in the restaurant (only the small area next to it) because they waited for a group (they only filled 2 out of 10 tables).

Cleanliness, service, and facilities all scored 4/5, which means there's still a bit of room for improvement, but nothing major. Great breakfast with an attentive staff that kept refilling the platters and beverages. Great location right on a gorgeous lake. The cabins were comfortable and well-equipped.

Amazing location. Very close to thermal warm baths ( blue lagoon of the north *) and vulcano. The guest house is very cosy and the cabins also + the kitchen we could use was very well equipped. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Booked via the guest house also the whale watching and got 15%discount. 👌 totally recommended

The double room itself with clean and comfy. The attached bathroom is small but also very clean. Also the staff was super friendly and welcoming. The location directly at the lake is phenomenal. Bed size is only around 140 cm, which is okay, but might not be big enough for some couples. The shared kitchen area would need a little bit of love. Definitely a great place to stay!

Our group stayed in one of the cottages here. Beds were comfy enough. Kitchen was stocked with dishes and utensils to use. The hot water here smells like sulfur, but that doesn't seem to be unusual in Iceland. It's a short drive away from Myvatn Nature Baths which is convenient. Check in and check out was easy. Breakfast was served in the reception building starting at 8am. Typical breakfast items...

We didn't originally book here but we were sent here after our original room at a different guesthouse was impracticable due to water damage. We couldn't have been happier of what we found! This guesthouse was wonderful. The rooms were coozy and clean but more than anything spacious. On top of that you get to enjoy an amazing view while drinking coffee.

Great value for money at this fantastically located place. Myvatn baths, Hverfjall crater and Dimmuborgir lava fields are less than 15 minutes away. The room was clean and well heated, the view over the myvatn lake was superb. We stayed at the budget option with private bathroom and shared kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped and big enough for many people. The only con I can find is that the toilet...

If you are visiting Akureyri or Eyjafjörður, Hafdals is the place to be. grate location, good rooms, fantastic view and personal service. Between Akureyri, Godafoss and Mývatn.

Perfect view, good breakfast,nice owner .. 😉😍 only problem: if you stay more than 1 night your bed will not be made up for the next night… happened in both our rooms so no mistake, if its a guest house it would be ok, but in a hotel …. Else it would be 5 stars

Modern and clean, very nice host

Absolutely fantastic place to stay when you're in the north. Perfect location, the owner/manager has great travel tips ans we managed to see aurora on our first night thanks to his advice. Beds are very comfortable and rooms are spacious! Breakfast is 10 out of 10 Highly recommended

One of the best hotels we stayed in Iceland! The room to the balcony was exceptional. The hot tub overlooking the city was amazing! Definitely recommend staying here! Amenities were updated in short don’t think twice about booking here!!

Nice quiet rural property. Beds were very comfortable. Short drive to Akureyri.

The rooms were well-appointed, but not very clean. Shower stall was not clean at all- dirt in the corners, filthy soap holders. The hot water smells like death in that town anyway, but for Christ sake - clean after the guests! The cleaner crews are hired contractors, they kick the guests out the minute the clock strikes checkout time. My friends were still loading the car and the cleaners already...

The room was fine but we were looking forward to the hot tub after a long day. One hot tub was murky and the second wasn’t filled all the way. Stairs were slippery and I fell resulting in significant bruising

We arrived during a snowstorm, so anything after the drive looked appealing! I'm sure this little guesthouse once was a shining gem in its glory, but as was noted by others in their reviews, it can use a good face lift on the outside. We were in the lower level where the door opened out to where we parked our SUV. THIS WAS A MAJOR PLUS since we were living from point to point on the Ring Road tour...
