Very difficult for 2 families to use kitchen and bathroom during peak busy times such as morning and dinner cooking.

It was a kind of old building and the interior was outdated as well. We couldn’t use the shades at the window as they were broken - as it never gets dark in summer, it was very unpleasant. It was very clean though but nevertheless, I had superior stays in Iceland for that price, especially as you had to make and strip your own bed. Owner, however, was very friendly.

Absolutely beautiful location! Close to the ocean with picturesque mountains and lush fields. The hostel is well equipped and comfortable.

Getting there was a bit rough , not crazy difficult but it’s gravel road. The view is awesome. The owner has provided a full kitchen and washing machine etc.

The owner was very nice, he showed me around the house on check-in. The house is a lovely renovated farmhouse that really gave the “get away cottage” vibes. Be ready to drive ~30 minutes on a dirt road to get there, but don’t be afraid, my 2 wheel drive compact car did it just fine, the road is in good condition. There’s a nice little trail going to the sea very nearby.

Blönduos is not the most obvious tourists' destination in Iceland, but my friend and I felt very welcome there thanks to this hostel, and its very friendly owner. Under new management and had gone some renovation. Only a few rooms are open at the moment and the lights are controlled by the owner. He can switch it on and off or dim or brighten it. Patio that has an amazing view and good to stay as long as it is not windy. On a good weather it is walking distance to the supermarket and atm machine. This is more of a hotel room experience as opposed to a hostel. Well appointed rooms, friendly host and host dog. The only drawback is shared bathroom. For peace and quiet, this is a great choice!

Very nice and wellcomming. Nice kitchen free to use. Good wifi. We had a free room upgrade. Breakfast in the hotel was nice. Nice views from the room and really calm athmosphere. We had the keys and then we were free to get in and out of the house. Furthermore, the housekeeper was very kind and also gave us some advice on our trip. All clean and comfy beads. Totally worth it.

Friendly people, clean rooms, very nice view. Been there with a Baby, was perfect because really quiet! Would recomment it!

Washrooms could use some updating due to staining and poor ventilation. Everything else was nice.

Ok, in every sense, value for money. The only thing to complain about is the size of the common area, specifically the kitchen is very small for the capacity of the accommodation.

This was such a cute little hostel! The kitchen was very cosy and had everything that someone might need. There were lots of washrooms so never had to wait. The rooms were really cozy and everything was very clean. Will be coming back here on our next trip!
