3 star hotels in Blonduos

It was a good one night stay for our journey North on our clockwise Route 1 journey. We did a late check-in close to 10pm and found the keys and a map (which could have been clearer) to find our room. We rented an amazing spacious 2 bedroom apartment at a reasonable price.

Easily one of the coolest hostels I've stayed at. For starters, you can have your own room without bunks like a regular hotel. Showers and bathrooms were well kept. The location was epic and staying in a former school was super unique. Definitely will be back!

Camped for a day there, absolutely stunning place middle of mountains. Hot tub, toilets, showers everything was fantastic. Staff are super friendly, Raymond is fun to talk to, great service. Thanks guys!

We went from the Myvatn area to Straw Hat Mountain. We gave up the whale watching trip to Husavik, but the distance to Straw Hat Mountain was a bit long, so we chose this hotel as a transfer. It has a kitchen for cooking, a swimming pool and hot springs, and you can also barbecue!

Everything was good except the room size was too small for 2 persons.

After a long day of driving along the "big loop" , this was actually a nice spot to stop. Rooms were very small, as stated in other reviews. But comfy. Bathroom was clean and did the job with the shower that was fairly large. Good breakfast with basic offerings. Did not eat at the restaurant as it was a bit $$$ for the location.

Hotel Blonduos was a pleasant surprise. Hotel staff were attentive and happy to chat and assist. The apartment we stayed in was fabulous, and would be excellent for a few to several days. The location is quiet, which for us was excellent. If you’re staying in Blonduos, it’s clearly not for the nightlife as it’s a small coastal town, but for us the location is 5 star!

This cozy, comfortable restaurant in the heart of the town offers a relaxed atmosphere. Dinner was delicious and a satisfying dining experience. The beach is within walking distance, making for a pleasant after-dinner stroll. Its convenient location makes it an ideal base for exploring the town and coast.

We did like this hotel very much. The room was spacious and comfortable. The decoration is made with love. The dinner at the restaurant was excellent. The best we had on the trip so far. The dishes were made of fresh ingredients and nicely prepared. The team and the cook informed us about the daily options. We could also change the dishes to our preferences. Absolutely beautiful hotel located right beside the ocean. The breakfast area is so wonderfully decorated and offers a massive window that provides incredible views of the ocean. Beautiful property! We really enjoyed the dogs and horses, and taking a walk around the property. The hosts were wonderful, and gave us great advice on things to do while in Iceland.

This is a farm, far away from everything. So bring your own food and satellite dish for the evening hours (just a kitchen for your own food, wifi only in the shared room)... Or just concentrate on social activities (dogs, board games, looking for the northern lights, jacuzzi).

Nice place to stay. Clean rooms, a lovely doggo, chill farm enviroment. Wifi was out of range in our room as a minus point. Our room had a tons of electric outlets, finally i doesn't needed to choose what to charge for next day-camera or phone. :)

The family hotel has nice natural scenery (but it's too desolate). They even forgot about our check-in information that day, and we couldn't find our room. We were so anxious, and we couldn't get in touch with them by phone. Fortunately, we found a way to contact them, and finally got a room. It was almost 8pm at that time.

With 13 rooms. Only 2 Wc/Shower. One was very small, old, didn't even have proper hooks to hang clothes. Shower didn't drain properly. You were always in 3 " of water from start to finish.

Rustic hotel with very thin walls. Impossible to sleep without earplugs when your next door neighbour is snoring! Luckily the earplugs are provided from the hotel and can be found in the room. Loved the natural hot springs spa which was open till late and then again before breakfast.

We booked two rooms, one of which turned out to be a loft. Both were incredibly small. Not only was the loft room easy to bump your head on, but the bathroom sink was incredibly small and unusable, and the toilet flushed with a puff of water that was completely ineffective. For nearly 2,000 yuan a night, the room wasn't even as good as a 200 yuan room in China. I've never stayed in a hotel this bad...

A small country home style hotel. I enjoyed my stay there thanks to friendly staffs. The hotel has a small hot spring next to the reception. It is notable that the in-room shower is using hot spring water, which I liked.

Nice experience to have in Iceland! Staying in a farm, hosted by people who love nature and animals! We visited the horses and we met the family!

We stayed only one night but we love the place. Family flat is very spacious including a living room and kitchen. Location is quiet but the host Magnus and Celina are super nice. Kids really enjoy the stay especially for the interactions with the horses, dogs and cats on the farm.

We had the best time at this hotel. We just happened to arrive on the night that they were serving a traditional Iceland christmas dinner and it was amazing. This hotel is in the middle of nowhere, so you'll get a great night's sleep because there's no noise, the person that was at the front desk at the time of our arrival was the most friendly we encountered in all of our time in Iceland and so was the rest of the staff.
