It is he perfect place to see northern light as it sits in the middle of nowhere. That is being said, the restaurant in the hotel might be the only option you have. Perfect location, where you can see the aurora all around the mountains. The room temperature is perfect and you can adjust it besides the window . They have a perfect balcony, which you can go straight outside and put your tripod on the grass and take pictures freely. There is no light influence at night so I can directly see the dark sky

Beautiful, big, clean. Location was also quiet. Breakfast was really good. Restaurant for dinner is also really delicious. Staff was very friendly. They did something really nice for our honeymoon.

I was a bit skeptical stopping at this hotel in the middle of nowhere on a gravel road, but this hotel was wonderful!! Food was very tasty, staff were very welcoming and friendly, and rooms were spacious and clean. Each room has a deck for aurora viewing (which we saw both nights). Probably one of my favorite places we stayed.

Set up was great- cute kitchen with coffee provided! Great little eating space/living room. Super clean. The property was stunning- nestled back among the countryside near farms and a rolling brook. It was so peaceful. We stayed 2 nights between our glacier day and our Vik day and the location worked great for us.

The quantity of waffles were not enough to support the number of guests. Not impressed with waffles as being to only breakfast option either. The coffee was good! Very clean, quiet and great location!

Absolutely loved this beautiful place while exploring Iceland. Very clean, comfortable and quiet. I highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting South Iceland. It's nestled away in a gorgeous landscape and well equipped for a great staycation.

Amazing little place. You're tucked away in the mountains on beautiful farmland next to a riverbed. You can hear the river at night. The rooms and shared kitchen are very clean and have everything you need. The only downside is the shared bathroom but it was also very clean. Highly recommend

Traveled with kids, we had a room with private bathroom. Very clean and confortable beds. Breakfast delicious. Location is perfect. Check in easy in less than 5 min.

Nice cottage with kitchen. They just did new renovations. So the cottage 100% looks new now. I enjoyed staying here. My 3rd time stay in this small cottages. Also you can see aurora outside of the cottages.

The chalet is okay and comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen. However, there’s only one bathroom, so the six of us had to take turns using it 😊

Easy check in. Drinks and snacks available for purchase at the front desk (beer, wine, soda). Quiet hours were between 10pm and 8am. Clean rooms with comfortable beds. The cabin is ideal for up to 4 people; if more people go, it can be overwhelming to be in the living room. Bring your groceries with everything you need to eat, as there's nothing nearby. You can't hear the noise of cars despite being close to the road.

Great experience! Me and my girlfriend stayed two night at Laki Hotel and everything was nice. Good breakfast, nice and tidy room, friendly and polite staff. We also spotted Northern Lights from the hotel parking, due to its position.

What a great hotel! My husband and I stayed here for two nights on our recent trip. It was a perfect mid-way point between Jokulsarlon glacier area and Vik. They had fabulous rooms, dining, and bar experience. Would recommend!

We've stayed here only for one night. The place is nice, the rooms were clean and spacious, they have a nice restaurant and bar - good service and good drinks. The view from the terrace was impressive. Beautiful atmosphere. But they clearly need to make some improvements for the bathrooms.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The bedrooms were comfortable and a good size and the breakfast was good. They allowed us to store some bits in their fridge which was great. The highlight for us was seeing the northern lights here.

The location is okay. On the way to Vatnajökull, the breakfast tastes good. Overall, the price/performance ratio is not high.

Efri-Vik overnight We initially reserved a bungalow however on arrival we were upgraded to a hotel room. Breakfast buffet was quite good with many options.

We got upgraded to a nice room at Hotel Laki as the bungalows were closed after summer. The hotel was very swanky, the food options were delicious, the staff were very helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Cozy cabin located just several hundred meters from Hotel Laki. Great breakfast (included). Room was very clean. Hotel staff was great. We appreciated the laundry service offered by the hotel (~$25 USD). We had already been traveling for 8 days, and it felt great to have clean laundry!

Although the cottage looks very ordinary, it is very cozy inside. It is small but well-designed. The bathroom is clean and easy to use. The hotel breakfast is also great. There is a horse farm not far away and the environment is beautiful.

Quite remote along the south route. They have many full handicap rooms that are wheelchair accessible. Great bathrooms for a handicapped individual. Food is good.

I was asked to use my credit card upon check-in, but upon check-out the next day, they charged me 40,000 kronor (the room fee had already been paid online). I only found out by checking my credit card statement. I contacted Ctrip customer service, and the hotel claimed it was a fine for smoking, but I hadn't smoked at all. The hotel later said they had mixed up the room and refunded the money a few...

Spacious room. Good price to value

The room was clean and well-insulated, with good heating. The shower and toilet were separate, and there was even a clothes dryer, which was very satisfactory. Environment: The view of the majestic and beautiful mountain peaks outside the window was like a painting hanging on the window. The breakfast was also good.

Beautiful little, well equiped cabins in a lovely setting. Service was excellent. I had to call as stuck in a snow storm/ whiteout and thought we were going to be late to book in. This was no problem. Great breakfast selection. I would definitely come again.

Roommhad good views and clean. Heating was more than adequate. Food was good too, but can be improved. Staff were helpful and friendly. My son forgot his passport and wallet in the room after we checked out, they kept it and they waited for us to comeback the next day.

The hotel is clean and close to the waterfall as well as the Systravatn Viewpoint. We didn’t see the aurora during the night we stayed but we saw meteors which is also a very nice surprise. The staff of the hotel are helpful and friendly.

I saw the Northern Lights right outside the hotel, starting clearly at 8 PM! The hotel breakfast was excellent. Although the room wasn't huge, it was quite good for Iceland and very clean.

The facilities are clean. It was a comfortable stay for a family of three with a three-year-old. There's a waterfall nearby and about three restaurants. The breakfast, while not extensive, is delicious, so I highly recommend it if the price is right.

This hotel is located conveniently, but the hotel itself was not as good as I expected. Especially there is no fridge in the room.

They initially arranged a room with two separate beds for us, but when we asked for a change, they quickly arranged another room. In that respect, I can say we were satisfied with the service. My cousin and I were looking for a last-minute place to stay after driving at night, and the employee who answered the phone was very kind and accommodating for us to have booked last minute. The guesthouse itself was very cute and cozy, with a good morning view.
