Great experience! Me and my girlfriend stayed two night at Laki Hotel and everything was nice. Good breakfast, nice and tidy room, friendly and polite staff. We also spotted Northern Lights from the hotel parking, due to its position.

What a great hotel! My husband and I stayed here for two nights on our recent trip. It was a perfect mid-way point between Jokulsarlon glacier area and Vik. They had fabulous rooms, dining, and bar experience. Would recommend!

We've stayed here only for one night. The place is nice, the rooms were clean and spacious, they have a nice restaurant and bar - good service and good drinks. The view from the terrace was impressive. Beautiful atmosphere. But they clearly need to make some improvements for the bathrooms.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The bedrooms were comfortable and a good size and the breakfast was good. They allowed us to store some bits in their fridge which was great. The highlight for us was seeing the northern lights here.

The location is okay. On the way to Vatnajökull, the breakfast tastes good. Overall, the price/performance ratio is not high.

Quite remote along the south route. They have many full handicap rooms that are wheelchair accessible. Great bathrooms for a handicapped individual. Food is good.

I was asked to use my credit card upon check-in, but upon check-out the next day, they charged me 40,000 kronor (the room fee had already been paid online). I only found out by checking my credit card statement. I contacted Ctrip customer service, and the hotel claimed it was a fine for smoking, but I hadn't smoked at all. Spacious room. Good price to value

The room was clean and well-insulated, with good heating. The shower and toilet were separate, and there was even a clothes dryer, which was very satisfactory. Environment: The view of the majestic and beautiful mountain peaks outside the window was like a painting hanging on the window. The breakfast was also good.

Beautiful little, well equiped cabins in a lovely setting. Service was excellent. I had to call as stuck in a snow storm/ whiteout and thought we were going to be late to book in. This was no problem. Great breakfast selection. I would definitely come again.

Breakfast is very great and the landowners are very friendly. We were actually living at the Landbrot Guesthouse, but have the free breakfast offered by the owner there at Magma.

The room was absolutely wonderful! Clean, spacious, and with a stunning view. The staff was incredibly friendly, and we truly enjoyed our stay 🩷 A special mention as well for the restaurant 👌🏻

Roommhad good views and clean. Heating was more than adequate. Food was good too, but can be improved. Staff were helpful and friendly. My son forgot his passport and wallet in the room after we checked out, they kept it and they waited for us to comeback the next day.

Efri-Vik overnight We initially reserved a bungalow however on arrival we were upgraded to a hotel room. Breakfast buffet was quite good with many options.

We got upgraded to a nice room at Hotel Laki as the bungalows were closed after summer. The hotel was very swanky, the food options were delicious, the staff were very helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Cozy cabin located just several hundred meters from Hotel Laki. Great breakfast (included). Room was very clean. Hotel staff was great. We appreciated the laundry service offered by the hotel (~$25 USD). We had already been traveling for 8 days, and it felt great to have clean laundry!

Although the cottage looks very ordinary, it is very cozy inside. It is small but well-designed. The bathroom is clean and easy to use. The hotel breakfast is also great. There is a horse farm not far away and the environment is beautiful.

The hotel is clean and close to the waterfall as well as the Systravatn Viewpoint. We didn’t see the aurora during the night we stayed but we saw meteors which is also a very nice surprise. The staff of the hotel are helpful and friendly.

I saw the Northern Lights right outside the hotel, starting clearly at 8 PM! The hotel breakfast was excellent. Although the room wasn't huge, it was quite good for Iceland and very clean.

The facilities are clean. It was a comfortable stay for a family of three with a three-year-old. There's a waterfall nearby and about three restaurants. The breakfast, while not extensive, is delicious, so I highly recommend it if the price is right.

This hotel is located conveniently, but the hotel itself was not as good as I expected. Especially there is no fridge in the room.

They initially arranged a room with two separate beds for us, but when we asked for a change, they quickly arranged another room. In that respect, I can say we were satisfied with the service. Breakfast was generally good. As for its location, it's on the main road, so you can consider it depending on your plans.

We like the house, The kitchen is fully equipped with appliances and laundry facilities. The house is comfortable and the view is nice!

The property manager, the Italian fellow, was so nice. I regret I have forgotten his name but you cannot miss him. He is enthusiastic accommodating and so helpful.

This is a magical place. It is hard to get to, especially during a snowstorm, so be aware. Make sure to get an AWD or 4x4 vehicle. Other than that, communication with the staff/property manager/owner was great and they are very helpful. We had a great time!

Simple guesthouse with simple amenities. Service staff was polite. Breakfast was simple but homely. Safe environment.

Clean and simple room. Shared amenities. Unusual breakfast. We were given a plate with croissant, juice, apple, hard boiled egg, rasher of cold bacon and cheese and cucumber. Not what I was expecting. Seemed a bit wasteful as I really don't desire cucumber for breakfast. Croissant was fresh and lovely.

The guesthouse is split into separate buildings. The rooms we booked were rather small and the bathroom was really tiny... the cleanliness of the rooms were acceptable at best. Breakfast was good. The location was very good. Belwo a waterfall with a lake on top. The hike up there took about 15min with some steep parts, but definitley worth checking out

Nice cottage with kitchen. They just did new renovations. So the cottage 100% looks new now. I enjoyed staying here. My 3rd time stay in this small cottages. Also you can see aurora outside of the cottages.

The cabin is ideal for up to 4 people; if more people go, it can be overwhelming to be in the living room. Bring your groceries with everything you need to eat, as there's nothing nearby. You can't hear the noise of cars despite being close to the road.

Good location just at the road side. At night is really dark outside our little house, actually should have some lights around. The room space is really little tiny and even to open our luggage at the same time. Breakfast - not many choice just a simply breakfast provided

My cousin and I were looking for a last-minute place to stay after driving at night, and the employee who answered the phone was very kind and accommodating for us to have booked last minute. The guesthouse itself was very cute and cozy, with a good morning view.

We stayed there during winter and the hostel was completely empty, which was great! The interior is basic but done solidly, all the necessities present. We’ve had a great time there. PS. Also saw the aurora there!

Stayed at The Fox Hostel from Nov 23–24, 2025. The facilities were clean and well maintained, and the staff was very kind and helpful. We were lucky enough to see the northern lights, and the room was spacious enough for two people.
