The room is small and lacks things like a litter bin, a hot water kettle, and a desk. Stayed in a triple room with 3 single beds. Good thing is that we can use their restaurant microwave for ramen. So come here with all the food you can bring.

The restaurant attached was good and ok priced. Good hamburger and fries 2200 Isk I liked this place. The price can be a bit high but most places in Iceland are. The rooms are big, beds are comfy, and the showers are nice. The staff was friendly.

Stayed at this lovely hostel, akin to Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel. Not to sound like an ad, but with the help of the Aurora app, we were able to see the northern lights pretty clearly about a five minute drive from the hostel. Simple but perfectly adequate accommodations. We received our room number and an entry code via email and had no problem getting it. We were headed up the stairs and an employee came chasing after us to make sure we had everything we needed. First night at this lovely, simple hotel. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Phillip at the bar was so accommodating - we stopped in just before 9 PM as we missed dinner at other locations nearby, and he had the kitchen whip up a delicious pizza for us. Looking forward to the next 3 nights!!

One of the best meals I’ve had in Iceland! Everything was very reasonably priced and full of flavour. The lamb steak was perfectly cooked — succulent, tender, and wonderfully seasoned, paired with potatoes and a rich mushroom and cream sauce. The cod was beautifully fresh and delicious. I cannot say enough about this hotel. It was clean, they were extremely accommodating of our last-minute, late night, very tired selves! Either side of the hotel gives you a beautiful view. The guesthouse is in a very convenient location very close to the golden circle. The rooms are fully equipped and very comfortable. There are plenty of parking spots outside and the rooms are easy to access all day, even late at night. I would definitely recommend it.

Good for a quick night's sleep! A cute and quiet little area with a great restaurant 2 minutes away. Bathroom was clean and beds were comfy. The only downside was all of the towels and bedding smelled like mildew. This place will always hold a special place in my heart though, because it was where I saw the northern lights for the first time in my life!

Pretty much what you’d expect for the usual price, small rooms with run down amenities. The bathroom was fairly large but the shower didn’t drain well. Not really worth it for holiday weekends where the price is higher. We booked for the proximity to the geyser but in hindsight should’ve booked something in Selfoss instead.

Great room to stay in, but unfortunately the walls were very thin so you could hear the neighbours easily. Also the fridge made a lot of noise which even woke me up. But the owners of the hotel were kind and easy to reach. They respond very fast. Also the facilities of the room were great and the room was very clean and new.

I cannot recommend these cottages enough! They are in the perfect location: not too far from Reykjavik or the southern coast, next to the beautiful Thingvellir national park, surrounded by gorgeous mountains, and very quiet and secluded. The location is very clean, and you have a small kitchenette to cook some hot food if you like. It's a great spot to look at the Aurora when it appears. Also, they have some games that you can play with the family. It's a quiet location to enjoy some strolls near the lake or in a small forest.

The bathroom was a bit dirty, likely because the window above the toilet was always open, resulting in dust accumulation on the toilet, sink, and floor. The kitchen had a portable induction cooker, and the tableware was fairly complete, but some dishes had some grease residue. The overall environment was quite nice.

This place is amazing. Location is prime, the rooms are so warm and very well thought. The host are very responsive. We had such a magical stay.

This place was awesome! We stayed at several places along the Ring Road, and this was our favorite place. The views are beautiful and the cabin has everything you need…even a towel warmer. I’d definitely recommended staying here.

We booked the appartment which had two rooms, the rooms were cosy and nice, with a beautiful view overlooking the village and nature. The shared kitchen and dining room was nice to sit in, we had another family in with their own chef, who assisted us a bit in finding everything. Cosy and nice

Cozy cabin! Easy check-in. The ladder on the bunk beds was broken, but besides that it's a pleasant stay.

Cottage lovely, food good. No sleep due to blasting music and drunken shouting by a group 9pm-2am, got a migraine. Nothing about quiet time or expected behaviour. When I complained, the guy knew but 'nothing I can do'. Messaged for hours during the noise, noone ever replied. Not good enough. Real shame as a repeat guest I came for peace and got none.

I was worried about the bugs, but when we stayed, we kept the windows open for ventilation, but no flies came in. We were satisfied with having the cottage to ourselves at a reasonable price :)

The location is good, about 40 minutes from the geyser, and it is quite dark around at night. The houses are built around three hot spring pools. You can soak in the hot springs at night while watching the stars and the aurora. At least one of them is hot 24 hours a day. You can cook in the room but there is no range hood and no seasonings, so you need to bring your own. The pots, plates, bowls and...

We had a good time. We left everything in order. But the landlady sent a message: I want to say that my house is a mess; you left it in a terrible state, completely unusable. And did you also scatter food in the forest? My dogs found it and ate it. I hope they don't get sick. And what's worse, you left the door open! There are mice in the forest, I don't want them in my house! I don't understand...

This was a very cute stay. The view from the property was awesome. And there were many things to do around the area, even though it felt secluded.

The cottage was perfect for a couple days exploring the area. Very clean and cosy. The kitchen had everything we could need. Only challenge was that we never received check-in instructions and key code. We had to call the property owner to get the key code.

Perfect place to stay This beautiful cottage was an excellent place to stay for our family. We slept well, it was quiet and having a full kitchen was perfect for our dinner and breakfast. It was a bit confusing with finding a code to open the door in our reservation materials. Thankfully the key box was not locked (so we didn’t need the code) to obtain the house key.

Property itself is nice but there were lots of midges around and we all got a good bite. Insect still got into the property even with windows closed. It would have been nice if we knew it beforehand then we can bring some repellent. Another thing was we never received any check-in information (code for lock) but luckily we were able to reach the property owner by phone.

We really loved this place. It is in the middle of nowhere - but everything in Iceland kind of is. It was so peaceful here. The cottage was bigger than i imagined. The kitchen has basics like salt/pepper/oil. Close to the famous golden circle destinations so you get an early start in the loop before the rest of the tourists join in.

Excellent place to stay on the Golden Circle in Iceland. Lovely quiet, clean accommodation. Staff were lovely also. I ate in the restaurant, pizza, and it was delicious and huge portion of a pizza. Had breakfast in the morning and that was excellent also. Great ample spaces for parking. Handy grocery store few hundred metres away. Comfortable clean bed and room. Would definitely stay again

We stopped in today for a late lunch even though we weren't staying at the hotel. The service, atmosphere and views are amazing. Our server was so sweet. I had the fish and chips. Locally caught Cod and hand battered and fried. It's was perhaps the best I've ever had. I highly recommend. My wife had the chicken salad and loved it. If you are driving by, definitely stop in for a meal and a history lesson...

We had the family apartment with our own kitchen and living room. It was perfect for the 5 of is. The staff is very friendly and helpful. In the lobby was anlot of antique furniture and some toys and books for kids. On our first night we saw the northern lights and it was the perfect location to check out geysir and thingvellir.

Beautiful location, close to a lovely hot spring spa with a 10% discount with staying here, historic building. Downside was the bright lights outside the window without blackout shades made it difficult to sleep.
