We stayed one night at this hotel, the hotel is family run & is staffed. They have a hot tub & sauna available as well. The rooms are quiet, clean & cozy. Nothing super amazing about this hotel but decent. The views are pretty good from here as a river runs beside & they have a nice fountain out front. They didn't shovel the snow until much later in the day. Ample parking here for free.

Lovely staff. We really just needed a place to stay for the evening while traveling around the country. Location was easy to access for us.

Staff is very helpful. The breakfast is fresh and delicious. There is also sauna and hot spring facilities which we can enjoy a lot!

After a long day travel, we arrived early at 3 o’clock, and we’re very disappointed that we could not even sit in a lobby. Accommodations Work great and the staff were very helpful. We were hoping to leave early to start the golden ring circle before the crowds however, breakfast does not start until 8 o’clock, which is a little late for trying to get an early start..

Clean, good condition, excellent bedroom and bathroom, quiet, good views, good breakfast Limited supper menu, no lunch, slight institutional feel to communal areas, remote so car essential.

The Teigur couple are very kind. The appartement is located just in front of the sea and the shipwreck. There are 2 washing machine, nice kitchen and a big fridge. We enjoyed.

The place is very spacious and comfortable. It’s the ground level of a house with two rooms for rent. There’s a big kitchen, a shared living room with a TV, couch, books, and even baby toys. The bedroom was excellent, with a very comfortable bed and a baby crib. There’s also a washing machine with a dryer, which was very convenient. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Sweetest old couple that introduced themselves and gave us the rundown of the living situation and the town (gave us a whole presentation is was kind of funny). Even had 2 bikes that we took for strolls around the town. They certainly care a lot about their services have laundry machines if needed. Nice shower, (smells like sulfur when hotwater) and nice living room and rooms.

Incredible place to stay over whilst travelling Iceland, most at home I’ve felt anywhere along my travels here, access to kitchen, living room, washing machine, dryer anything you could want for a good reset! The couple are extremely good hosts and helped us with any of our questions regarding travel destinations and recommendations, will definitely stay again next time I’m in Iceland

Very kind and welcome ownersand very clean until guests arrived in other room. They (two men) sat outside our door at the common table in their underwear until after midnight smoking and drinking, and left all of their items in the shared bathroom. Needless to say it was not a peaceful stay, but no fault of the hosts! Just a chance you take in a shared home.

Staying in Akranes on business for a couple of nights, the Teigur guesthouse was a perfect choice. A warm and friendly welcome, the guest house has a homely feel. Rooms, kitchen and bathroom were nice and clean, laundry facilities available too.

No bad place to lay your head twin beds were better then most places

Stayed here October 2018 it was a great experience nice kitchen, clean, very accommodating they even let us check in a little early because we had been up all night traveling to Iceland

2 couples, one single room and shared toilet. We had a good night sleep, the place is quite and well positioned. It's possible to use the living rooms and the kitchen at the ground floor. The house has also a private parking lot, with two different entrances. In general a nice place where to stay.

Wonderful place. This is an ancient priests'house remodeled as a guest house. It is beautifully decorated and very quiet. It has a nice shared kitchen with free goods (oil salt rice tea coffee...) Definitely worth the price ❤

No bad comments of this place. Clean, spacy, mixed rooms of cozy and spacy. Fully equiped kitchen*two, awesome bathrooms. Really classy in the home type of high end atmosthere

Stay was great! Bed was comfy, rooms very cozy. Located right in Akranes. Would definitely stay again if I come back.

Rooms are clean, two bathrooms are in the house. Rooms are on the floor which is accesible by steep stairs. Beds are okay, but mattress is very soft. One smaller refrigerator is for guests. Three towels provided is big plus.

Friendly host and nice comfortable beds. Comes with all the amenities you would expect from a hotel suite (towels, soap, kitchen etc.)

The host, a typical Icelandic, is quite nice though i didn't talk much to him because I was exhausted after a long hike at Akrafjall. The outside is not flashy and teasing but the inside and the rooms are clean, nice and sober. Melur Guesthouse is not far from Leboskin café, Akrafjall and Akranes Lighthouse, and is on top of that the cheapest guesthouse in Akranes. Free breakfast and check-out at ...
