Easy access to property. Quiet and safe. Kitchen and washer & dryer.
Nice room, nice bed. All in all a good place to stay.
Peaceful Amazing. I love this place. Salmon is very helpful and nice. I'll keep. Coming back!
Pleasantly surprised, this was a hidden gem! Spacious rooms that were simple, yet inviting with comfortable beds. Excellent kitchen with everything we needed. We woke up to a delicious breakfast. Excited that the "northern lights decided to come out and play"!
This hotel is very accessible from the main road, clean and provided daily towels. Kitchen and washer/dryer amenities. Very convenient! Breakfast offering was great!
Stayed for one night with my husband. Plenty of parking. The one member of staff (30. Oct 2024) who checked us in, cooked our dinner, and cleaned up was awesome. We found it a little inconvenient to exit the reception area to re-enter the area with the rooms, especially as it was drizzling. The kitchenette was stocked with the necessary tools for self-catering. The sauna and hot tub were clean and...

Breakfast was very good, water in the rooms tasted of sulfur. Kitchen has normal drinking water.
The place was affordable and okay...comfy beds.
Nice clean hostel/guesthouse. Pretty basic, but we expected that. We got a family room with four twin beds. Beds are nice. Shower is good. National girls soccer team was also staying there and they were very loud pretty late

Not a bad location, small rooms, felt free to come and go as much as we wanted
Stay was great! Bed was comfy, rooms very cozy. Located right in Akranes. Would definitely stay again if I come back.
Rooms are clean, two bathrooms are in the house. Rooms are on the floor which is accesible by steep stairs. Beds are okay, but mattress is very soft. One smaller refrigerator is for guests. Three towels provided is big plus.
Friendly host and nice comfortable beds. Comes with all the amenities you would expect from a hotel suite (towels, soap, kitchen etc.)
The host, a typical Icelandic, is quite nice though i didn't talk much to him because I was exhausted after a long hike at Akrafjall. The outside is not flashy and teasing but the inside and the rooms are clean, nice and sober. Melur Guesthouse is not far from Leboskin café, Akrafjall and Akranes Lighthouse, and is on top of that the cheapest guesthouse in Akranes. Free breakfast and check-out at ...

Absolut friendly hosts! Because of Corona we had the whole apartment for us alone.
Super great people!! Very cosy warm atmosphere and everything is shining clean. When we arrived we got some dinner tips and where to find what in town. There is even a breakfast basket in the fridge that you can eat and a fully equiped kitchen. Our 11the place we booked in Iceland during our road trip and I can really recommend this guesthouse to book, five stars without a doubt!
A great small guesthouse! Owner is a very nice lady. Only two rooms. Sparklingly clean kitchen and bathroom with everything you need. Guest laundry with a dryer.

The accommodation is very nice and clean and it has a home feel to it, kitchen is fully stacked with all you need for cooking and there is ample parking space in the yard. The real win of this stay is the hosts which are such lovely and helpful people, feel free to ask for any info about the area or the life of Icelandic people in general and they will gladly fill you in. Thank you for having us.
It's our 15th day in Iceland. Teigur is the best guess house we've stay. The price is reasonable and you will find its a really guest "house". You will have everything like your home. It's only 2 rooms, so you won't share living room, kitchen, bathroom with too many people. And it's about 40 mins drive to Reykjavik. If you are lucky, you might see aurora in the lighthouse. It's really amazing.

No bad place to lay your head twin beds were better then most places
Stayed here October 2018 it was a great experience nice kitchen, clean, very accommodating they even let us check in a little early because we had been up all night traveling to Iceland
2 couples, one single room and shared toilet. We had a good night sleep, the place is quite and well positioned. It's possible to use the living rooms and the kitchen at the ground floor. The house has also a private parking lot, with two different entrances. In general a nice place where to stay.
Wonderful place. This is an ancient priests'house remodeled as a guest house. It is beautifully decorated and very quiet. It has a nice shared kitchen with free goods (oil salt rice tea coffee...) Definitely worth the price ❤
Nice bed the rest is wat you expect of a guesthouse
No bad comments of this place. Clean, spacy, mixed rooms of cozy and spacy. Fully equiped kitchen*two, awesome bathrooms. Really classy in the home type of high end atmosthere

The room was large, cosy and nicely furbished; we haven't overheard any other rooms, neighbours. Cleanliness wasn't perfect both in the room and in the common kitchen (the oven was so dirty it has smoked and triggered the fire alarm during use). During our one night stay we haven't met any staff member, even the direct phone at the door wasn't working.

its big. the nights we were there the kitchen area turned into a lot of fun. A bunch of people trying to cook in, and have a few drinks to save money turned into a big group out on the town.
Probably the cheapest accommodation in whole Iceland and the equipment is accordingly. The rooms consisted of concrete floor, 4 walls, one jacket rack and beds. No table, no chair and nothing else. This is fine though, since you get what you pay for. The comon area is spacious and the kitchen has everything that you need for simple meals. Took this photo in the lobby on my vacation a few months ago. Tried to figure it out who it was. Took me a minute but that's Eddie Sparks. The guy who found anonymous in the US. He's super famous in tech. Hotel was nice with the bar and outside area with roof access too.

Excellently located near downtown Reykjavik and the harbor. The rooms are as pictured, very clean, and the staff are friendly and efficient. Perhaps they could increase the breakfast selection and add one of those machines that allow you to select various types of hot drinks.
Stylish hotel in a central location. Delicious breakfast. The Junior Suite was perfect for our family of 4. Would recommend!
The room includes free spa, which is good, but there are too many people
This center bar hotel is much newer. Although the room is not big, it is very comfortable to stay in. The attitude of the lady at the front desk is also very good.
It's a little distance from the city center. Free parking is available in a public free parking lot nearby, which is a 5-minute walk. The room size is OK, but the facilities are average.

Breakfast not as good as the other Berjaya hotels. Same spread throughout our 4 breakfasts!!!! Good location for walking around but carpark a little further away from hotel entrance. Very close to return our rental car office. Lots of eateries around but it’s a problem getting a table. Front staff are pleasant but ineffective when issues arise.
This accommodation is quite well located, by walking for about 10mins able to reach a few places of interest in Reykjavik. The room though slightly on the small side, but still able to open 2 big luggages (walking space got abit tighter but still manageable). Bed was comfortable, however we found a stain on the bedsheet:( Overall, it was a nice stay👍🏼
Great location: great harbour view, close to city centre, usually get picked up first for tours. cozy boutique feel.
It is so nice, the room and the lobby environment is sooo cozy!!! Beyond my expectation!
Good vibe. Next to harbor as well. Good resting area at the lobby level . Separate room where you can chill or have discussion.
The hotel is cosy and comfortable. The breakfast starts at 7am which is a little late if you've got some day tours booked as you usually need to be out early, but they allow you to take away which is very useful. The location is good too as it's close to bus stops, the harbour, and the centre of Reykjavik. The room could have done with some more space to store clothes.

This hotel is perfectly located in the city center, within walking distance of major attractions and restaurants, and conveniently located for transportation. The spacious and thoughtfully designed common areas are perfect for relaxing or simply reading, and were my favorite part of my stay.
The location is the best! The service was also good. As soon as you come out in front of the hotel, you can see a great view!
It was better than my friend and I expected! The hotel environment and service attitude were very good. When we were traveling in the south, we found that the power bank had fallen in the hotel. This guesthouse is nice overall, but I won't recommend it because the price doesn't meet the quality. Definitely needs renovation. We stayed two nights in double room. The whole place looks a bit messy, there are cleaning stuff literally EVERYWHERE: kitchen, bathroom open shelves, near rooms. If you think it means everything is super clean - you are wrong. Shared bathroom looked like the cleaning lady...
We stayed in doublebed room with private bathroom. Both room and bathroom was tiny but very cozy, neat and clean. Shared kitchen was full equipped and very clean.
Had an amazing experience at Alfholl Guesthouse! Very clean and homey, walking distance from the heart of the city and many cool areas around. There is a kitchen area to make food if you like, and was overall very enjoyable! Books up quick though, so make sure to book in advance.
Kindest people I have been in contact with! Very understanding and polite staff! Would recommend 100% to anyone
Friendly and professional, but in the hands off Icelandic guesthouse style. Easy walking to downtown area, but on a quiet street. Clean and quiet. Has kitchen for cooking and food storage.

A very nice, new hotel that is part of/above a bar/restaurant. I just want to point out that there was no noise from the bar that I could hear (I was on the 4th floor). Room was clean and modern. Bed was comfortable, and tap water also great to drink. Receptionist was really kind and helpful. He guided us with the parking in Iceland and also upgraded our room without asking. Hotel is located on a quiet street, but you are within walking distance of city center. I would definitely stay in Local 101 again :)
The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the pier, and the staff are friendly. While there's no parking available, there are paid parking spaces opposite the hotel, and free parking is a 10-minute walk away, but ask the staff. Breakfast is simple, and the seating is limited, but perfect, with no waiting. Children can share a bed at no extra charge.

Wonderful! Perfect location walking distance to everything . Having a full kitchen was lovely to cook dinner and breakfast with a huge balcony to enjoy weather permitting. We went to the market and got groceries and saved a TON of money vs eating out for every meal.
Good and Bad The apartment was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. Unfortunately this complex is located on a very noisy street that was used every night by cruising muscle cars and motorcycles with those awful loud mufflers. This hotel literally saved me a few others from a long day of exhaustion. They welcomed us in and we're so very nice and comforting. Near city center, has free car park and few minutes walk away provided you can find an available one. Room is clean, 3 toilets with 2 showers, upstairs 1 toilet with shower. Quite a few rooms sharing the amenities. Full kitchen though a bit small.
The room is open and sunny, and the sanitation is very good. Although the environment is small, it has everything! The only drawback is that the sound insulation needs to be improved. The best hotel in Lei City, with a good location, next to the sea view, ten minutes walk from the shopping festival, and next to the concert hall. The room is not big, Nordic style, very tidy and clean, with good sound insulation. Parking is at the door of the hotel, and there will be staff to help you park. The parking fee is very expensive, 400 RMB a day.
The room is comfortable, the transportation is convenient, the view from the rooftop bar is great, the restaurant on the first floor is very famous, reservation is required, but the taste is average, not as good as the Harpa rooftop view restaurant opposite. Overall it's not bad, but it's a bit expensive when booking, and it's 600 cheaper when I came back to check.
Great location, downtown but walking distance to main tourist attractions, main shopping street and nearby many restaurants. Rooms are very clean and well designed. The team was great and helpful, veryy responsive. The food options at the hotel are not the cheapest however I think its very worth its value, i found it super delicious.
A little expensive but still pretty good. My friend stayed in a small suite with a better view. My beggar room has no view at all. To be honest, it's just an ordinary five-star standard. But in Iceland, all right

A great property at a fantastic location, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. My only complaint, which is bias is that I felt the pictures were a little misleading with the size of the room.
I love the fact that my room was so quiet. Everything about my stay was perfect. It's in an older building that has been beautifully renovated into small apartments. The location is great! Right in the center of the old town. Easily walkable to restaurants and shopping. The area is quiet, except for the church bells. But, they do supply ear plugs! A great value and nice place.
The hotel was truly perfect - it is in the center of town and you can get anywhere you want to while in Reykjavik. The staff are so lovely and the room was beautiful - it is quite obvious love and concern for people's comfort was put into the hotel. The accommodations were more than one could expect. This is one of the loveliest places my family has ever stayed in on our yearly trips to a different...
LOVED this hotel!! Great room. Great location. Great staff! Blackout curtains were the first ones we had on an 11 night trip that actually blacked out the room. Important in the summer!!
Very charming and clean. Not a lot of road noise to be in the city. Only complaint is parking is tough to find.
Great location. Walkable and the staff is very friendly. We wanted to extend last minute and they were able to accommodate at the same rate we originally booked at.
