We stayed one night at this hotel, the hotel is family run & is staffed. They have a hot tub & sauna available as well. The rooms are quiet, clean & cozy. Nothing super amazing about this hotel but decent. The views are pretty good from here as a river runs beside & they have a nice fountain out front. They didn't shovel the snow until much later in the day. Ample parking here for free.

Lovely staff. We really just needed a place to stay for the evening while traveling around the country. Location was easy to access for us.

Rooms are clean, two bathrooms are in the house. Rooms are on the floor which is accesible by steep stairs. Beds are okay, but mattress is very soft. One smaller refrigerator is for guests. Three towels provided is big plus.

Absolut friendly hosts! Because of Corona we had the whole apartment for us alone.

Super great people!! Very cosy warm atmosphere and everything is shining clean. When we arrived we got some dinner tips and where to find what in town. There is even a breakfast basket in the fridge that you can eat and a fully equiped kitchen. Our 11the place we booked in Iceland during our road trip and I can really recommend this guesthouse to book, five stars without a doubt!

The accommodation is very nice and clean and it has a home feel to it, kitchen is fully stacked with all you need for cooking and there is ample parking space in the yard. The real win of this stay is the hosts which are such lovely and helpful people, feel free to ask for any info about the area or the life of Icelandic people in general and they will gladly fill you in. It's our 15th day in Iceland. Teigur is the best guess house we've stay. The price is reasonable and you will find its a really guest "house". You will have everything like your home. It's only 2 rooms, so you won't share living room, kitchen, bathroom with too many people. And it's about 40 mins drive to Reykjavik. If you are lucky, you might see aurora in the lighthouse. It's really amazing.

2 couples, one single room and shared toilet. We had a good night sleep, the place is quite and well positioned. It's possible to use the living rooms and the kitchen at the ground floor. The house has also a private parking lot, with two different entrances. In general a nice place where to stay.

Wonderful place. This is an ancient priests'house remodeled as a guest house. It is beautifully decorated and very quiet. It has a nice shared kitchen with free goods (oil salt rice tea coffee...) Definitely worth the price ❤

Took this photo in the lobby on my vacation a few months ago. Tried to figure it out who it was. Took me a minute but that's Eddie Sparks. The guy who found anonymous in the US. He's super famous in tech. Hotel was nice with the bar and outside area with roof access too.

The hotel is really well located. The staff is polite and helpful. Breakfast is awesome. The only concern is that the hotel has no dedicated parking but that’s something we were aware of before booking. Found closeby street parking!

The front desk staff were very helpful and advised us where to park our car. The hotel doesn't have its own parking space. We had to park at any space available at the narrow lane in front of the hotel. Room is clean and well renovated. It is spacious too.

The hotel is right by the old wharf, making it super convenient to get everywhere. Plus, there's a Piggy Mart nearby, which is great for grabbing food. On top of that, it's just a 3-minute walk to the shuttle bus station for all the major tour companies.

Extremely satisfied with this hotel! It's very close to both the city center and whale watching tours. Our stay was fantastic, and the room details were perfect. The breakfast was quite good, and the hotel offers free parking.

The hotel's location is convenient, but they don't have triple rooms. There are good restaurants downstairs or nearby. There's a car park, but only small cars can safely fit; larger cars might not make it.

This hotel is perfectly located in the city center, within walking distance of major attractions and restaurants, and conveniently located for transportation. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-insulated, ensuring excellent sleep. The spacious and thoughtfully designed common areas are perfect for relaxing or simply reading, and were my favorite part of my stay.

This guesthouse is nice overall, but I won't recommend it because the price doesn't meet the quality. Definitely needs renovation. We stayed two nights in double room. The whole place looks a bit messy, there are cleaning stuff literally EVERYWHERE: kitchen, bathroom open shelves, near rooms. If you think it means everything is super clean - you are wrong. Had an amazing experience at Alfholl Guesthouse! Very clean and homey, walking distance from the heart of the city and many cool areas around. There is a kitchen area to make food if you like, and was overall very enjoyable! Books up quick though, so make sure to book in advance.

This is a good boutique hotel with rooms that give a quality feel. Excellent shower and balcony that added to my stay after enjoying my adventures in Iceland, I knew I would come back to a warm and clean room. The Breakfast was a great way to start your day. I was looking for an affordable hotel in Iceland, where prices are high, and I ended up here. The room was so small that I had to sleep on the bed, but the bed and linens were comfortable enough to help me relax and recover from my fatigue.

2-night stay The location is great and the downstairs bar is excellent. The breakfast is good but a bit hit and miss with some items. Coffee is excellent! The basic rooms are very small, so if with two suitcases gets cramped. Staff is lovely.

The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the pier, and the staff are friendly. While there's no parking available, there are paid parking spaces opposite the hotel, and free parking is a 10-minute walk away, but ask the staff. My only complaint is that they put us to the dining room/Breakfast room and it was VERY noisy in the morning when we were trying to sleep. The room is open and sunny, and the sanitation is very good. Although the environment is small, it has everything! The only drawback is that the sound insulation needs to be improved. But as a homestay, the environment is very good, very close to the city center, parking and shopping are very convenient!

Great central location, but parking is a bit tricky. The hotel is right in the heart of Reykjavík, making it very easy to walk to shops, restaurants, and main attractions. The location is definitely the highlight. However, finding parking nearby can be difficult, especially during busy hours. Overall, a great choice if you plan to explore the city on foot.

The room was clean and the heating was just right. It was also very convenient to get in and out. The breakfast was good, and there's 24-hour front desk service. My only minor complaint is that one of the front desk staff members I encountered wasn't particularly enthusiastic.

Hotel is in a great location (close to bus stop 5 which you'll get why knowing bus stop numbers is ideal as this is where you wait for yours to pick up or bus to the airport). A very nice property in the center of town- most interesting areas of Reykjavik are walkable, and it’s close to pickups for tours. Our room needed a bit more brighter lights, but the bed and shower were excellent; there is also a fridge in the room and a small coffee maker. Good coffee within a block too.

I didn’t opt in for breakfast. I didn’t have a thermostat in my room but it was very cold outside so leaving the window open helped keep the room cool at night. The shower is very nice, the bed comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel in the perfect location in downtown Reykjavik. Walkable to everything. The hotel was immaculate, the room was great and the heated towel rack in the bathroom was awesome! Bring your own conditioner if you use that because they only give you shampoo and you only get liquid bath gel so also bring soap if you like that instead. The location was perfect. Parking was easy both at the hotel P1 and on the steet P2. Room was spacious, had a fridge, and an expresso machine. Daily housekeeping was quick and efficient as well. While a bit cozy and squeaky in places, this was an affordable space for my family in the heart of Reykjavik - close to everything we wanted to see.

The location is okay, there are several good restaurants nearby, but the overall environment is poor, maybe because the building is old. The heating was not very good and the room was very cold. There is no elevator, so you need to carry your suitcase upstairs. All in all I don't think it's worth it compared to the price of ninety pounds a night.

Nice placement and average rooms. Fully equipped kitchen. If you have social anxiety, this place is perfect for you, because you don't really have to talk to anyone. There's no one on the reception.
