Friendly host and nice comfortable beds. Comes with all the amenities you would expect from a hotel suite (towels, soap, kitchen etc.)
Not a bad location, small rooms, felt free to come and go as much as we wanted
Stay was great! Bed was comfy, rooms very cozy. Located right in Akranes. Would definitely stay again if I come back.
Rooms are clean, two bathrooms are in the house. Rooms are on the floor which is accesible by steep stairs. Beds are okay, but mattress is very soft. One smaller refrigerator is for guests. Three towels provided is big plus.
The host, a typical Icelandic, is quite nice though i didn't talk much to him because I was exhausted after a long hike at Akrafjall. The outside is not flashy and teasing but the inside and the rooms are clean, nice and sober. Melur Guesthouse is not far from Leboskin café, Akrafjall and Akranes Lighthouse, and is on top of that the cheapest guesthouse in Akranes. Free breakfast and check-out at 12:00
