Perfect! From the first moment i entered the room i felt like crying for my happiness. It is true i had been camping the last week before that but, the rooms are warm, there is a kettle and some coffee and tea, maybe the shower would be great to have like a door of glass and not a curtain. The breakfast was out of this world as you can imagine by the pictures. Overall the room could not have been better...

A nice hotel conveniently located near restaurants, groceries, and the harbor. Wonderfully friendly staff. Large rooms with private baths. I didn't pay for the breakfast because it was ridiculously expensive for what is offered, so don't know if it is good. Overall, a nice hotel in a lovely town.

Very nice hotel in a lovely location with great views. The evening meal was good as was the breakfast too. Staff very friendly and helpful. Not much in the local town but there is a little restaurant worth a visit. The rooms are well-equipped and clean, though a little soulless. As we found in quite a number of hotels, unless you are travelling on a coach tour it is harder to get the best view...

The hotel is simple yet elegant. Nordic hotels often appear simple, but once you enter, you're completely comfortable. Compared to hotels in Asia, the rooms seem quite spacious, but considering this is a remote fishing village in the Westfjords, having such a modern and comfortable hotel is a luxury in itself. The hotel restaurant is amazing. The menu is simple, and we ordered the usual lamb and fish...

Good chain-hotel, clean, and you get what you expect from Fosshotels. The drawback is that the breakfast is OK, but not always quality ingredients, also the dinner was very expensive for a small portion and not even good quality. p.s. In the town is a much better place for dinner.

The hotel is amazing! The room with an ocean view exceeded all our expectations! Everything was clean and the breakfast was delicious – especially the waffles made by Joanna, who made our stay a truly wonderful experience! :) We planned to stay for one night, but ended up staying for two. And we’ll definitely be back! 😁

I was very pleased with the hotel. I got a room with a workspace and a view over Patreksfjörður. The staff was wonderful and gave me a warm welcome. The breakfast was good, always with the scent of freshly baked waffles. I stayed here for a few nights and hardly wanted to leave.

It's a small, cozy, clean hotel with a beautiful view. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is simple but in a great atmosphere. The staff is super helpful.

Hotel West is an absolute gem! The mesmerizing views are breathtaking and made every moment feel special. The hot tub and sauna were the perfect way to relax after a long day, and the staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and attentive. Everything about my stay was wonderful—I can’t wait to come back!

The hotel is located a long (but beautiful) drive down a gravel, pothole-ridden road but you truly feel away from it all out here. Super quiet, no crowds (encountered more sheep here than people), and very authentically Iceland. Accommodations are rustic, but still comfortable and had everything we needed. We appreciated the spaciousness of the room. Dinner, while you get no choices, was a tasty home...

This was one of the best views in a hotel that i have ever had. It is so peaceful and truely reflects tbe icelandic way of life. Excellent service and management. This is a must stay for those seeking an icelandic way of life ecperience. Defenitely worth the drive!

Fantastic hotel. Cozy, great rooms (better than most of higher class hotels/Guesthouse), amazing service and staff. Also great location to explore the Red Beach and the bird cliff. Absolutly recommended, if you booked here - you will enjoy!

A fine place to stay but don’t expect breakfast. Seeing literature about the guest house and reading reviews, and seeing the set up the day of our arrival, we were looking forward to a pleasant breakfast. There was none. Had we known that we would have sorted out getting food upon our arrival. So if you plan on staying here bring all food.

A guesthouse with comfortable and attractive facilities. The room is spacious, although the bathrooms are shared. The outdoor area is perfect for enjoying in good weather; there are even outdoor showers. A full breakfast is provided. Magnificent views of the fjord. The owner is extremely friendly.

Wonderful! A lovely guesthouse with large and modern rooms! The staff made us feel very welcome and we slept well. Everything was super clean and well put together. This was the best guesthouse we stayed at during our trip to the Westfjords!

Only could stay for one night here, but it was a very nice experience. Nice rooms, comfortable beds, good breakfast, and a very warm welcome by Kasper and Maya, who run the daily management. Also located in a beautiful part of the westfjords.

Super location! Cozy little old barn house right on the beach! Felt so Icelandic there! Very warm and friendly service, extremely clean, old but really clean! When looking something authentic it's the right place to stay! Be prepared to drive awesome mountain roads with beautiful views to the ocean! Probably not the right choice for those who need material luxury but the best choice for those who value...

I heard this cottage’s location is really good (from my friend who travelled Iceland more than ten times). also, google map let me know the right direction. I had to pay extra for the linen cover etc. I already knew about that. so it was not a problem for me. The day we(couple) wanted to stay at, there was no room left except the big room which is for 10 people maybe. I made a reservation anyway...

Not the cheapest in Iceland but if you're looking for remoteness- absolutely worth the effort to get there!! Nice cozy cottage for couples

The setting was great... but, the additional cost of bedding (46% of the total!) was an unwelcome surprise.

I sailed from the UK and around Iceland, but damaged mast and pulled in, I was told this was the place to stay. It's awesome, gorgeous views, lovely rooms, super host and as for the breakfast it's like a 4 star hotel , and all at guesthouse prices. You won't get better.

We were very pleased with our stay here. Bed was comfy and room was clean. The shower had nice shampoo and conditioner and the decor was simple but pleasant. Parking was available on the street and in their own gravel parking lot next to the building. Breakfast was delicious with high quality meats, cheeses, bread, fruit, and other options. Very nice hostess. Be prepared to call their phone number to check in though as she is often next door. Overall nice room, the private bathroom rooms don't have a view while the bunk rooms and shared bathroom rooms do

Nice view, very clean and cosy, newly renovated in an modern Scandinavian but still traditional way. The landlady is very kind and helpful and serves a delicious breakfast with homemade ingredients. By far the best choice and best value for money in Patreksfjördur!!
