Hotel Sans Souci in Gabicce Mare

Went with Mistral. Never again. Paid extra for a full sea view. Given a room on the inland corner until I complained. Were not allowed to sit at the front windows in the dining room, as they were reserved for the Germans. Food was food. Nice enough staff. Nice enough hotel. Easy bus access to surrounding villages. Well worth the visits as some are spectacular.

Lovely location, some really great staff - reception and bar staff were exceptional - but really the rooms are just two/three star and the food wouldn't even pass for a one star.
Their current chef wouldn't get a job sweeping in McDonalds.
The buffets were ok, but other courses are poorly cooked and sadly totally tasteless - not just our opinion, it included nearly everyone else we spoke too in residence including club reps !
Three pools - but one for spa treatment only - sadly no entertainment until a pianist on the last night who was really good and completely changed the whole ambience of the hotel.
Sadly by October when we visited, this was the only hotel in town still open, just one or two shops and no bars, everywhere deserted, so no alternative choice of food or drink. Sadly a disappointing week - worst we'd had for many years 🤷‍♂️ yet, could be so much better with a little effort and a new chef !
