Hotel Torre Santamaria in Mattinata

May wife and I stayed here in early June, 2025. We stayed Monday to Saturday which was great since the area and the hotel was not overly crowded.

The room was a very nice room with a comfortable bed, a small refrigerator and a good bathroom. There was a safe and nice storage for clothes. A small sofa with a table and chairs made this a very comfortable room. We did not have a kitchen although there is an option for that.

The service staff caring for the rooms were very polite and helpful.

The breakfast was good and the coffee was surprisingly good considering it came out of an automatic machine.

The grounds were very appealing. We really liked all the olive and fruit trees. The pool was also very nice.

A surprise was the office. We asked to go up to the roof and saw a very well designed office and contemporary use or steel. It was super cool and the view from the roof was also work going up!

We also caught a bus to Mattinata. The bus took almost as much time to walk there. We had dinner in town and walked home one evening. It was an easy, downhill walk. The beach was also very close to the hotel.

I strongly recommend this place.

This place was lovely to stay at. The room was very comfortable and clean. The whole area is beautiful. Breakfast was delicious every morning. They had fresh honey comb. I highly recommend this place!

I just found my new favorite place to stay, I will definitely come again, and will recommend this resort to all my friends and family. Me and my husband stayed the first weekend of October, the weather was still very nice. There was some road construction nearby when we arrived, it was a little hard to get to, but we found it, we were a little early so we went for lunch nearby. We had a wonderful stay, the staff was incredibly helpful, our room was very spacious and comfortable, it was a quiet and peaceful resort, just a hidden treasure. The breakfast was superb, anything and everything you could ask for, fresh and delicious, it was the best breakfast I've ever had in a hotel/resort.

Return to Mattinata.
It was good. Rooms and area lovely. Bed was ok pillows not great.

Plenty of olive, citrus and pomegranate trees.

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The staff were so helpful and the location was excellent. The most beautiful beaches we experienced in Mattinata were just steps away. Thank you to Torre Santamaria and all the staff!!

Beautiful setting and chilled atmosphere. The pool in particular was sparklingly clean. It is worth noting that you need to wear a swim hat to go in the pool, but they sell them cheaply and as everyone wears them you don’t feel that daft. All the staff were really helpful and friendly. This was a great base to visit the area, and the local town of Matinatta was lovely. We would definitely revisit if we come back to this area.

Great location, with no crowds during off-season. Can be noisy if unlucky with neighbors. Great staff, good breakfast, bar on-site.

We spent 4 nights here and I can say it was just great. The hotel is just perfect for the ones who miss the quiet place with beautiful garden and pool. The Staff is very friendly and smiling. The pool is very clean and in perfect condition. The garden has so many gorgeous flowers and plants and my daughter was searching for tiny lizards there. Olive trees give you the shade and make the garde even more beautigul. The breakfast is delitious, with lots of fruits, cakes, home made jams. I was fond of bread with olive oil, herbs and tiny tomatoes and ham with pistachious. It is very varied and everybody will find sth tasty for themselves. My kids ate croissants with white chocolate and fruits. You can also find sausages and scrumbled eggs. In general, great! Rooms are very comfortable especially bathroom. We had a tiny terrace with sun seats and wash dryer. Air condition works perfect and with no ugly smell. Cleaning stuff delivers small bottles of water every day. Till the beach is ca 10 minutes walk but we reccomend to drive to beach Vignanotica (small stones) which is 30 minutes away by car. Or to glorious st. Lorenzo beach 1 hour distance with gold sand. In the nearby 4-5 minutes walk you can find a hotel with restaurant Il Melograno which has the best pizza I have ever eaten. We are all happy we could spent the time in this perfect, quiet hotel without crouds... We highly reccomend.
