For the price, the place is in a nice area and walking distance to most things. The downside is no instructions provided from the train station (ie use the lift) & instead we had to carry 20kg bags up the hill & stairs in 30 degree heat. Exhausting. Contrary to the reviews, there was no view from the room. The room was quite small as well. The property is in the upper town, which is a long, exhausting climb from the train station (we discovered the following day that there is a public elevator that we could have used; why didn’t the owner tell us?). Best location with amazing view. Room is clean and well decorated. Beach is down the street, you need to go down and up the stairs. There is lift available, but it was working only on weekend now. Enjoyed Scilla food and beauty!

Mattress was pretty bad. Room was quite old but that's okay but single glazed windows are quite bad considering the room was on street side and right next to the train station. I guess it's less important on sea view side. Staff was nice and very helpful

Excellent B&B; we had two wonderful nights. Out of season, it's very good value for money. There's a lovely terrace on the third floor (the view from the terrace at night is stunning!). We stayed Sunday to Wednesday for my Birthday with my partner. Lovely spot , lovely room , lovely owner and the lady at breakfast, nice surroundings. Plenty of places to visit . If you want to use cash then take cash and no ATMs ( that's not a moan just advice ) . Nevertheless proper lovely place 😊👌

There is not much to do in scilla in January. But the host welcomed us and tried her best. Good value for money but don't have high expectations. Everything is very badic. More a b&b than a hotel.

We loved our stay at this beautiful family run hotel in the center of Scilla! The rooms are very clean and wonderfully decorated, and the breakfast had many selections, including homemade crostate and jams. Nicoletta was very kind and spent some time talking to us about Scilla, and we had a wonderful dinner nearby based on her suggestion.

Family hotel, very kindly owners, very good for motorcycles, they have also garage. I recommend.

Having a car can be a hassle at times but we loved the very close and convenient free parking area the hotel offered. We were meet by a very nice young lady who (lucky for us) spoke much better English than we spoke Italian. She offered to show us the rooms before we decided, which was great. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever lucky enough to return to such a beautiful town.

Nicoletta and her family are absolutely amazing!! They are helpful and kind and great hosts. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Plus, the breakfast is amazing. Try the homemade marmalade. We wish we could have spent more time in Scilla. We will be back!

Beautiful B&B with a spectacular view of Scilla and the sea. The location is great. Close to restaurants cafes, bar, and a short walk to the beautiful blue beach. The host was amazing and took great care of any of our needs. Scilla is the most amazing place in Calabria and this is the perfect B&B to enjoy it

We spent two days at this B&B. Mr. Demetrio welcomed us with great hospitality, encouraged us to visit various places, and, above all, was very helpful. The triple room was cozy and comfortable, also suitable for children. Definitely recommended.

Best chocolate (and red wine) cake that I have ever had!!! This cute little place is run by a nice local lady. All the food is homemade (by another woman) in the house next door. On a 2nd visit we had the lasagna & also the potato, cheese, ham dish. Both were excellent. Tip: Check-out the clothes shop directly opposite (the owner is quite a character)

The Family room has a fantastic view. The rooms area clean and well kept, as well as the bar area. The Staff is very friendly and helpful. The BK is fresh and very tasty. The surrounding area is a great experience in itself.

I went here for lunch. Surrounded by cute cats. Quiet and enjoying sitting in the alley way. Nice food and friendly lady serving us. Wine and snacks a perfect weekend.

Such a cozy place with a really warm, friendly staff. They serve local specialties that give the restaurant its own charm. Definitely a spot I’d recommend to anyone looking for an authentic experience. It’s truly on another level compared to a few other restaurants nearby that we also tried.

What makes Casa Vela great is the people running it. Barbara, Alessandro (great sommelier), Alessia and Natale. The nicest. Good breakfast and had a great dinner. The best location in sweet Chianalea. This is a hub for good drink and food and happy vibes.
