We are a family of four from NYC that absolutely loved the hotel. We had no idea what to expect as accommodations are limited in August. Came across this little gem on Airb&b and so glad we did. I messaged the owner prior to booking who responded very quickly answering my questions and was more than happy to accommodate my requests. Mattress was pretty bad. Room was quite old but that's okay but single glazed windows are quite bad considering the room was on street side and right next to the train station. I guess it's less important on sea view side. Staff was nice and very helpful

We enjoyed a laid back stay at this beachfront property with amazing sea views. The rooms were clean and functional and bed was comfortable. The pasta was one of the best ones we‘ve ever had in Italy! Also the staff was extremely attentive! Definite recommendation for all lovers of high quality food and a great atmosphere :-))

Family hotel, very kindly owners, very good for motorcycles, they have also garage. I recommend.

Having a car can be a hassle at times but we loved the very close and convenient free parking area the hotel offered. We were meet by a very nice young lady who (lucky for us) spoke much better English than we spoke Italian. She offered to show us the rooms before we decided, which was great. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever lucky enough to return to such a beautiful town.

Intimate place, familiar atmosphere, nice people wants you to have nice vacation. More attention to details about cleaning the room. 5 stars for them

Nicoletta and her family are absolutely amazing!! They are helpful and kind and great hosts. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Plus, the breakfast is amazing. Try the homemade marmalade. We wish we could have spent more time in Scilla. We will be back!

Beautiful structure with elegant rooms, clean and always tidy, and equipped with a small, very functional kitchen. Located in the heart of one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, it boasts a very friendly and efficient staff, and the friendly and helpful owner. Rich breakfast with quality products. Very original B&B, nice rooms with small kitchen, fridge etc. has everything you need. Good beds, quiet (no season yet). Would book again in the off-season.

The Family room has a fantastic view. The rooms area clean and well kept, as well as the bar area. The Staff is very friendly and helpful. The BK is fresh and very tasty. The surrounding area is a great experience in itself.

What makes Casa Vela great is the people running it. Barbara, Alessandro (great sommelier), Alessia and Natale. The nicest. Good breakfast and had a great dinner. The best location in sweet Chianalea. This is a hub for good drink and food and happy vibes.

We had the most perfect stay with Casa Vela. They had a special Luna di Miele suite for us at the very top of the B&B overlooking the sea. The hospitality we received from Alessandro was unbeatable. The food at the wine bar café was excellent. Hands down the best freshly baked chocolate croissant we have ever had. Our stay at Casa Vela can only be described as magical. The owner allowed us to stay in an upgraded room for the first couple of nights, which had an incredible view looking over the streets and the sea! If you want to stay in the cutest part of town, in a beautiful well-appointed room that attends to every detail, and at a great price, this place is for you. Wonderful host and simple Italian breakfast with coffee in your room. Two thumbs up!

The owner is very kind and friendly, breakfast was great with "occhio di bue", a typical italian biscuit with apricot jam or chocolate, loads of croissants, tarts and cakes, coffee nd cappuccino.
