Hotels in Scilla

There is not much to do in scilla in January. But the host welcomed us and tried her best. Good value for money but don't have high expectations. Everything is very badic. More a b&b than a hotel.

We loved our stay at this beautiful family run hotel in the center of Scilla! The rooms are very clean and wonderfully decorated, and the breakfast had many selections, including homemade crostate and jams. Nicoletta was very kind and spent some time talking to us about Scilla, and we had a wonderful dinner nearby based on her suggestion.

Family hotel, very kindly owners, very good for motorcycles, they have also garage. I recommend.

Having a car can be a hassle at times but we loved the very close and convenient free parking area the hotel offered. We were meet by a very nice young lady who (lucky for us) spoke much better English than we spoke Italian. She offered to show us the rooms before we decided, which was great. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever lucky enough to return to such a beautiful town.

Intimate place, familiar atmosphere, nice people wants you to have nice vacation. More attention to details about cleaning the room. 5 stars for them

Nicoletta and her family are absolutely amazing!! They are helpful and kind and great hosts. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Plus, the breakfast is amazing. Try the homemade marmalade. We wish we could have spent more time in Scilla. We will be back!

It's a comfortable stay with a decent breakfast. The location is a 2 minute walk to the beach and a variety of restaurants and lidos.

This is a great hotel. Huge beautiful rooms and an excellent location. Right across the street from the train station and 2 minutes from the beach. Lots of beach bars and restaurants to enjoy. Hike up to the castle or upper city for stunning views. The hotel staff were amazing. Super helpful with anything you need. The breakfast buffet was really good too. I already want to go back!

Breakfast was great. Selection of cold meats and cheese, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, pastries and breads. Ideally locsted for the train station and beach. Room 220 was for 4 people, one double bed and 2 singles. Fantastic time in Scilla at U'Bais hotel. We were there with our teen girls for a small week. Amazing location right on the beach! All you need is located within a few min walking distance... seafood dining, pizza, best ice-cream, Chianalea (the old part of Scilla)... The rooms we had were large, pitch dark when the blinds were closed, with a super comfy bed and the pressure in the showwe a bliss!...

W Staff was attentive and respectful and the hotel was conveniently located next to the train station and sea! The rooms were clean and the breakfast was decently good!

Mattress was pretty bad. Room was quite old but that's okay but single glazed windows are quite bad considering the room was on street side and right next to the train station. I guess it's less important on sea view side. Staff was nice and very helpful

Kind people, we had a great time, this is the fourth year we've been coming, I recommend it.

Parking was a major problem. Listed address was also difficult to find. Host responded when called. One night, reasonable price stay.

Very impersonal, stayed two nights and saw no one upon arrival or departure, though very clean and the location is at a busy intersection.

There is no front desk service and it is a little bit difficult to contact the hotel manager.

Positive experience. We booked a room for two (a suite with a hot tub). I'd improve the cleanliness slightly and possibly add breakfast or the option of having it at a café in town. The place is located in the upper part of town, so you'll need to drive to the beach, but it's still quite close. Definitely excellent value for money.

Excellent B&B; we had two wonderful nights. Out of season, it's very good value for money. There's a lovely terrace on the third floor (the view from the terrace at night is stunning!). It's right in the heart of old Scilla, accessible only on foot. You'll need to park your car further away. The town is quite hilly, but it has a lot of charm. We stayed Sunday to Wednesday for my Birthday with my partner. Lovely spot , lovely room , lovely owner and the lady at breakfast, nice surroundings. Plenty of places to visit . If you want to use cash then take cash and no ATMs ( that's not a moan just advice ) . Nevertheless proper lovely place 😊👌

Best chocolate (and red wine) cake that I have ever had!!! This cute little place is run by a nice local lady. All the food is homemade (by another woman) in the house next door. On a 2nd visit we had the lasagna & also the potato, cheese, ham dish. Both were excellent. Tip: Check-out the clothes shop directly opposite (the owner is quite a character)

I went here for lunch. Surrounded by cute cats. Quiet and enjoying sitting in the alley way. Nice food and friendly lady serving us. Wine and snacks a perfect weekend.

Such a cozy place with a really warm, friendly staff. They serve local specialties that give the restaurant its own charm. Definitely a spot I’d recommend to anyone looking for an authentic experience. It’s truly on another level compared to a few other restaurants nearby that we also tried.

What makes Casa Vela great is the people running it. Barbara, Alessandro (great sommelier), Alessia and Natale. The nicest. Good breakfast and had a great dinner. The best location in sweet Chianalea. This is a hub for good drink and food and happy vibes.

Beautiful B&B with a spectacular view of Scilla and the sea. The location is great. Close to restaurants cafes, bar, and a short walk to the beautiful blue beach. The host was amazing and took great care of any of our needs. Scilla is the most amazing place in Calabria and this is the perfect B&B to enjoy it

We spent two days at this B&B. Mr. Demetrio welcomed us with great hospitality, encouraged us to visit various places, and, above all, was very helpful. The triple room was cozy and comfortable, also suitable for children. Definitely recommended.

Small, cozy room with amazing view from balcony. No cleaning / room service during our 7 days stay, so you have to get your garbage to trash bin by yourself.

It was the perfect stay for the three days we stayed, nice and clean. The breakfast in a near by cafe is what we needed to get our day started. Thank you very much.

For the price, the place is in a nice area and walking distance to most things. The downside is no instructions provided from the train station (ie use the lift) & instead we had to carry 20kg bags up the hill & stairs in 30 degree heat. Exhausting. I stayed here in November, and it was perfect. I stayed in two different rooms, and both were clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful whenever I needed it. The second floor room has a beautiful view. The people and the town were amazing!! I'd stay at La Bastia again for sure!!
