The most beautiful Borgo on a hill with amazing views of the countryside, very close to Grassia town and very quiet. All the buildings are old, made of stone and very charming. There is a beautiful outdoor pool, also with lovely views. The facilities were fine, not luxurious, but we had everything we needed. There are outdoor seating areas outside every property, where you can eat breakfast, dinner...

We had the best time here. Rooms were amazing, the view is incredible and here you really feel like you’re in the middle of Tuscany. Also it’s super close to Firenze and we had several activity options nearby.

We had a wonderful stay at Borgo Bottaia. Beautiful location, close to Florence, great rooms and excellent service. We look forward to returning next time we're in Tuscany!

Stayed there with a school party from NZ a few years back. Superb location. The rooms were confortable and clean. The views over the surrounding countryside are memorable, especially at dawn and dusk. No on site catering, although Luigi was happy to send someone to the village to bring in food on occasion. We enjoyed a wonderful 4 days here in this magnificent setting. Luigi and his staff made us feel very welcome. The apartments are spacious clean and reasonably furnished. Close to Grassina 1km to walk and get bus to Florence if need be. We had a car so was easy access to surrounding towns cities etc. loved the the tranquility. The pool is wonderful. Beautiful vistas over the surrounding countryside...

Everything. It really is a special hotel that transports you to another era. It is undoubtedly one of the most special places we have stayed. The staff, the service, the place, everything was excellent.

We stayed at the Villa with friends and family when our son got married at a close by location. The service and hospitality provided by owners Emiliano, his wife, as well as Carolena, were nothing short of magnificent! Words can't describe how beautiful the villa is, the service is great. We, two adults two kids, stayed at the suit which has direct access to the pool. The kids love it. Breakfast is good too. Would be better if baby cot can be provided.

I can not say enough good things about this Villa Il Sasso. Unfortunately, we found it by happenstance after my mother fell ill while on vacation. This property is close to the hospital and we stayed for nearly 2 weeks. The staff, especially Francesca, went above and beyond every single day to help us during this very challenging time. My husband, toddler and me just stayed here for 9 nights and I cannot speak more highly of our experience. Be careful of Waze directions : it takes you on a diabolical agricultural path that Waze thinks is a proper road . There are well tarred roads to the property. Breakfast at €7 per head was generous servings of cake, bread, fruits, yoghurt, juices milk. Plenty of tea coffee. Full kitchen fridge . They produce their own wine and olive oil. Traveling with 4 friends, the room was cozy and mattresses are comfortable. Didn’t have time to do much around the beautiful farm, only visited the cellar and tasted wine and olive oil.

Really excellent little hotel, great view and great value! Our house had a washing machine inside which was not advertised. Proprietor was very friendly and nice to us.

1. Amazing ambience, hard to reach without car though. 2. Best to spend some time in their gardens, staying away from pollution, etc. 3. Their breakfast option is not that great. 4. We were given a full house for ourselves 5. They’ve got a/c on both rooms. Kitchen, bathroom fully equipped. 6. Accept cards. 7. Parking not a problem (there’s a wide area in front at their property)

We stayed there for few nights and it was very good, cozy and welcoming. Breakfast is awesome, the owner made a cake for the 3 of us, and let us borrow their bikes too. The location is very good as it is near Florence, but you get a real feeling about the Tuscany countryside. Really recommend it to everyone.
