Absolutely loved our stay here. Did the picnic in the vineyard and the five course meal for dinner. The food was amazing and the hotel rooms are beautiful! We had a view of the vineyards and will return in the future!

My wife and I stayed here for two nights during our honeymoon. It is beautiful and peaceful but a short drive from Orvieto. Great views from the room, breakfast, and the pool. I would definitely stay here again

The Wine Resort is great to relax and enjoy the nature. We had a suite with a spectacular view over part of the wine resort. Two pools and a Spa make the stay even more enjoyable

Good tasting menu am Breakfast . There should be hot water pool outside as the water was cold when I visited in early September. It was Difficult to find the room

Quiet, lovely, relaxing, tranquil. Altarocca is a place for couples looking to get away and spend some quiet time together. The hotel is located atop a lovely hillside overlooking fantastic views of Umbria

PS: they do have wine tasting and food pairing in the hotel itself. Andrea who conducted the class, provided us a lot of information about their new organic wines. Absolutely marvelous experience

We had to open windows which faced a VERY busy and noisy road. There were guests talking loudly and constantly smoking below our room until very late at night and all that came right into our room

There was a bit of a language barrier, but the dinner was very good. The location is convenient as it is right off the highway, but that also adds to the noise, as did the trains speeding by

The hotel is old, the furniture is old and tired-looking and the bed was not at all comfortable. We stayed early October and it was still fairly humid out, but the AC had been turned off

Bugs came in the open windows so we had to put the shutters down and it felt like we were in a hot box. Thankfully I had a small fan, but it provided very little relief

Breakfast was adequate with pastries, yogurt and cold cuts. The restaurant is next door and does not open until 7 for dinner. Food was very good and staff were helpful

Guests were working on something in the parking area and making loud motor noise until after 20:00. I don’t understand why staff allowed this

Something very important, if you want to reach the Hotel Virgilio in Orvieto by car, please use Via Soliana, and thus you will avoid getting lost in the narrow and wonderful streets of this city, keep this in mind

We stayed at this hotel for two days. The cleanliness is excellent, every corner is taken care of. The staff is very professional, friendly and also answers every email with precise and helpful instructions

The hotel is located in the historic center of Orvieto, with an unbeatable view and a few steps from the Duomo of Orvieto, one of the most famous cathedrals with a long and rich history

My husband has come here with students for 8 years. I have accompanied him twice. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. We spent 2 weeks there and I miss it already

We had a bathtub, which was most appreciated! Outside there are tables and chairs to sit and look at the cathedral. In the lobby there is also a little sitting area

Also, when Via Soliana ends in the historic center, just to the left is the public parking. I advise anyone visiting Orvieto to stay at the Hotel Virgilio

The hotel is very beautiful, quiet, and clean. Its location is very close to the Folklore and the old town of Orvieto. The rooms are very clean, and the staff are extremely friendly, especially Maria

Good location, 10 to 15 minute walk from train station and the funicular and has a good view of the hilltop city of Orvieto from below. The included breakfast was fine.

Conveniently located hotel, although parking is a bit of a walk. Good sound insulation with the outside, less between the rooms. Accessibility a little affected by the presence of external and internal steps

It's a good hotel for short stays. The gentleman that runs this place is friendly and helpful. The room was clean, but the bed was a bit uncomfortable

The general info about the hotel says that it has a restaurant in site which isn't true, since it was closed

A very unique house in the rural tranquil environm I love to stay in this house. It is located at the hill top surrounded by trees and rural areas. I like they have a restaurant so i took half board at the house

We loved staying in this quiet space with great pressure and hot water in the shower. The food in the restaurant each evening we ate there was fantastic. The staff and owners were so pleasant and accommodating

We had a wedding of 60 people and had the most amazing time. Rosella and Andreina were extremely organized and accommodating. This place is truly magical; you get the feeling that you‘ve gone back in time

The rooms are beautiful and tastefully appointed and clean. They are not overly modern though and nor would I want them to be. You feel the entire hotel is steeped in history and that is the beauty of it

Some of the reviews comment that the hotel isn’t modern enough- but that’s part of the magic of this place and I think if you visit this hotel you should manage your expectations in terms of modernity

6-8 courses ( depending how you break it up) and very reasonable price for lots of wonderful Local prepared food. - pastas and meats and chacquertie. Their own grown wine is very good and affordable

The drive from Orvieto is slow narrow roads uphill for 30-45 min. the place is an incredible castle with amazing views and surroundings. Living back in ancient Roman days

After being delayed for three years we finally got married at Castello di Titignano in June 2023 and what a wedding it was! The venue was spectacular, the food was incredible - we had the best time

The grounds and views amazing especially sunset and sun rise. Dinner was incredible experience - big group dinner for all guests services on platters in an ancient dining area

Wedding events were pitch perfect, everything was executed flawlessly by the team (despite spots of rain and a heat wave) and staff could not have been lovelier! There was one waiter who looked after us so well all weekend I still regret not seeing him at checkout to give him a special thanks a tip after the big night

The pool and view of Orvieto are spectacular. You can stay or go explore Umbria and Tuscany. Giampiero Rosati is the ultimate host. He greets us every night and will help you with anything you ask

Stayed at Locanda Rosati for 3 nights, and loved every minute of it. Great time to spend with my family. The rooms in the beautiful stone building are in high standards clean. the staff members are so lovely and warm

The stone country house is spotless, the food is outstanding. Sitting on tufa rock outside Orvieto and 90 minutes from Rome, the location gives you a wide area to enjoy exploring

A traditional dinner of local specialties is prepared in four wonderful, easily manageable courses with a starter, a pasta, a meat dish and dessert

The main floor of the hotel was beautiful and it had a nice pool but it was a little cool so we did not use it. It was easy access to Orvieto for site seeing and dinners

The most amazing place to stay. So quite. The views are like nothing I’ve seen before. And you must go on the walking trail around and up the property for the ultimate view of Orvieto!!

You can walk up to Orvieto's medieval old town by following a small, steep road behind the hotel. Looks like a great place to bring children, with pool and a huge garden + friendly dogs

Lovely Incredibly beautiful, beds are super comfortable, delicious breakfast. Out of the busy part of town, but still close enough. Quintessential Italian countryside feel while still being close to town

what a wonderful stay, i highly recommend staying here its quaint safe quiet and everything you want out of a country side agro tourism the town is old and amazing

Location is excellent with a short, steep 15-20 minute walk up into the old town of Orvieto. Finally, the value was outstanding. In all, we had an outstanding experience

The staff, rooms and property were above our expectations. Francesca provided a ride to the property and on our day of departure to the Rome airport (for a fee)

We enjoyed our one night stay. It's in a nice location on a plaza. Our room was comfortable and nicely decorated. Having coffee and a few snacks available was especially appreciated.

The hotel was difficult to find. It is a close walk to the local sites. Breakfast was good with fresh baked goods. The room is difficult to get to if you can't climb narrow stairs with bags. The staff was friendly.

Unfortunately, the air conditioner wouldn't stay on and we didn't dare to open the windows because of mosquitoes so it got a bit warm in the room. We were planning to park our car in the square just downstairs

Absolutely loved stayig here! Beatrice was accommodating, kind, and extremely helpful! Our train out was a little later than our check out time and she allowed us to leave our luggage

My only regret is that I didn't stay longer. I had planned to spend only one night because it was a last-minute trip. However, when I return to Orvieto, I will stay here again

After taking transportation ( bus or taxi) to the town on the hill, walking or buses were available easily. A market was set up one morning, neat but a little noisy
