We had a wonderful taster lunch / wines at Locanda Palazzone a couple of weeks ago. Several, maybe nine, wines chosen to complement each course! Expertly explained by Mariangela, both food and wine were amazing! My favourite was the Rigatoni with pancetta and a dry Orvieto white wine. Following lunch we toured the winery… maybe should have done that first!

After a truffle hunt with Maurizio, we brought our treasure to the chef at Locanda Palazzone for a wonderful lunch. We also enjoyed a wine tasting. Food and service was amazing and the location can't be beat.

The hotel was 10 min from Orvieto. It was in a vineyard and a beautiful setting. The rooms were a 4 but the restaurant was a 5. The food was excellent as was the service. The room had a lot of stairs as the bedroom was up in a loft. If you are disabled or have trouble with stairs this is not for you. The decor in the room was a little dated and could use a refresh. The main floor of the hotel was beautiful and it had a nice pool but it was a little cool so we did not use it. It was easy access to Orvieto for site seeing and dinners.

This property was like no other. Exquisite in every detail. It was made with impeccable taste. The art on the walls, the linens, the stairway, the outside grounds… Every detail. The service and friendly atmosphere were perfect. The rooms were top notch. The wine and wine tasting and tours were all we had hoped for and more. You cannot get any more magical !!! It was magnificent! Thank you

Beautiful hotel located in the middle of the Umbrian vineyards. The hotel has had modern upgrades which contrast well with the rustic traditional building. The town of Orvieto is about a ten minute drive away but would recommend a car!
I was initially surprised that this was only a three star hotel but will say the quality of the dinner service and wait staff let them down. My mom and I had tried a wine a day earlier and the next day none of the staff knew which wine this was. Considering they only serve their own wines here it was surprising no one knew the tasting notes or colours of the wines!

This was a beautifully renovated farmhouse in Umbria. The place was a working winery with a an excellent food staff. The property was beautiful and in close proximately to Orvieto.
