Aparthotel Sheila in Lido di Jesolo

The pros: right near the beach, easy to walk, close to many restaurants, very friendly employees, the room was spacious, everything was clean. You can get drinks at the pool from the bar but they take forever. Balcony was nice. Pools are nice. Our room had a huge walk in closet. You get two chairs and an umbrella at the beach. But we were 4 people so what should the other 2 people do?

The cons: this is not even close to being a 4 star hotel. No way. The beds and pillows are so uncomfortable, we could not sleep. The air conditioner shuts off constantly. It was 33 degrees when we were there and the room gets hot immediately. The light above the mirror in the bathroom was broken. You have a kitchen which you must clean yourself but they give you no sponges or dish soap. There is only one elevator so when everyone is trying to get up or down for breakfast, you have to wait forever. Getting food or drinks at the snack bar takes an eternity. The parking lot is VERY small and we had a minivan. Someone hit the side of our vehicle while we were there, leaving a huge dent. Despite the huge closet, we were provided with only 4 old useless hangers.

We emailed the hotel months before our arrival to ask about bringing our dog. We were told no problem. After we arrived, they told us the dog is not allowed at the pool area or at the beach. This would have been useful information to know BEFORE we drove 7 hours. We would have let our little dog stay with family back home. Instead, one of us had to stay with her at all times while the rest of our family enjoyed the beach or pool.

While the employees were all very friendly, we will not stay here again.
