One side of the hotel room which near the railway is not soundproofed. So you will hear the train passing by when you are sleeping.

I stay here every time I need a place to stay in Takaoka. It is a nice hotel, brand new, it has a nice onsen, staff are very friendly to foreigners, and it is clean! Most importantly, the price is fair.

There is no air conditioning even at this time of the year, only heating. Also, it is no longer that cold anymore, somedays it goes up to 25 degrees.. so i do not understand why is heating still the default option.. Normally this could be solved by opening the window, but as this hotel is right by the station… The train sounds are exceptionally noisy… so you either sweat while you sleep, or sleep with the sounds which the trains make (horn, breaks, tire screeching, etc).
For anyone who needs air conditioning to sleep.. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

The building is old, but the rooms have been renovated and are clean.
Free Wi-Fi is available.
The bath and toilet are shared, and have also been renovated.
The bath is full for about three people, but it is available 24 hours a day.
There is no kettle in the room, so the landlady boiled water for us.
The refrigerator is also shared.
The air conditioning in the room that stopped working was noisy, so this is the only room I give it a -1.

I had my hopes up about this place. 4.1 stars on average. Great location, just beside the train station. However if you’re a tourist, don’t bother asking the concierge on places they recommend or how to get to certain location. Without hesitation, they will tell you “I don’t know”. One of the concierge even asked me “you don’t know Toyama station??” In a very shocked manner. He spoke great English too. I was with my family and we were driving through Chubu region. He even told us to google on our own if I’m not wrong. We did try that. But we figured it would be better to ask the concierge, a local.
I think during this season it’s quite cold, so the aircon is warm throughout. On the first night, they managed to change it to cold air. On the second night, it was warm air all the way. They were nice on that part and brought us a portable aircon (:

Its about 2 minutes away from the train station, so there is many food available.
The hotel has only 10 over parking lots, staff was very kind enough to share all the nearby parking before hand which was extremely helpful.
The tap water is delicious haha, its tasted even nicer than the bottle provided!
The bath was big enough as well, even though there was many people but it felt comfortable.
Love the bed and the pillows, always have neck issues but its actually quite good, thought of purchasing it online!

Modern, very clean and quiet room (not facing the railway line). Plenty of options for the evenings close by. Excellent value for money. Would definitely stay again!

The location is just a couple steps from Takaoka Station, so it couldn't be more convenient. The hotel is also super new, so everything is very modern and up to date. The room has everything you need, and in addition, there's a lovely public bath. I feel that it's pretty much perfect for a business hotel by the station.
