Recommended by a friend, and it lived up to expectations! The room was clean, the environment was lovely, and the service was attentive. It's quite convenient, and the high-floor views are great. I'd definitely stay here again.

Near tram station and castle. Room Is spacious and amenities can be collected from the lobby if needed more.

Group hotel, basic amenities, car parking at same hotel building make an easy access.

Excellent location in the mid of the city. Convenient and comfortable to stay. Staff is friendly and helpful. Variety and delicious breakfast to choose.

Great service by staff, very helpful, they received and sent my luggages by Yamato. Carpark right in basement is convenient. If only they didnt provide Chinese made bathroom toiletries (NZ brand). Right across to Toyama castle.

Toyama Excel Hotel Tokyu

Excellent breakfast spread and great view from top floor restaurant. Room size very decent for Japan. Definitely recommend.

The facilities are a bit old, but the location is excellent and it's well-maintained for the price.

Nice stay and value for money, front desk service is excellent. Location in the city centre and convenient for the roam around. Get a free upgraded to this suite room when check in. Just not ice most of Japan hotel will charge a parking fee range from 1,000~1,200 per day.

Hotel is conveniently located near Toyoma train station. About 5 minutes walk to the train station. The room was spacious for 1 person. The bed was hard and room became stuffy when heater was on. You cannot open the windows a little to let fresh air in.

Stayed in a standard twin room for 2 nights. The room is slightly too warm as it operates on a central heating system. The rest of the hotel facilities are excellent. The staff are warm and friendly. If you do not want to have your room made up, they reward you with 2 QR codes which you can use at the vending machine behind the front desk. We chose this hotel as it was a street across the Shirakawago...

Centrally located hotel close to many shops and restaurant. Parking is available at adjacent shopping centre for ¥1200/night. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Room was small though and doesn’t come with bottled water or container for filling up drinking water. Lift at first floor wasn’t aligned with the ground so created difficulties for pushing our luggage in. Drip coffee provided was delicious.

Great value for money! The room was small but cozy, and the private hot spring bath in the room was the best surprise.

Location is a short distance away from the Toyama station. But everything else is perfefct. I loved that my room had a small onsen as well, so I could continue to soak in the comfort of my room after visiting the big onsen. Both were great and it really helps to relax the body after a long day. Staff were friendly and went out their ways to assist with my requests. Really 10/10.

The Japanese-style room was neat and clean, the hot spring bath was lovely, and the self-service snacks and drinks were a thoughtful touch.

If you book on a weekday, the value for money is exceptional. You get free ramen and Yakult. Also, make sure to book breakfast; the seafood rice is incredibly generous. The service is also excellent, and the staff are very polite.

This is a very comfortable Japanese-style hot spring hotel. You need to take off your shoes upon check-in. There's a communal hot spring on the second floor, and rooms also have bathtubs with hot spring water. Free ice cream is available on the second floor, and breakfast is quite extensive too.

The most incredible and authentic Japanese high-end hotel I have stayed at. A living art-museum, with intentional rooms, a large record selection and incredible sound system in the lobby, phenomenal amenities and delightful food.
