The hotel environment was excellent. Out of the six hotels I stayed at during my eight-day Hokkaido trip, this Toyoko Inn was by far the best for its price range. The breakfast was also very substantial.

The hotel is not the closest to the JR station, but it is conveniently within walking distance. The room was adequate for one person and offered sufficient space for one piece of luggage. Breakfast is available from 6:30 to 9:00 AM, featuring a selection of both Japanese and Western food. Additionally, there is a convenience store situated nearby.

I understand that the hotel’s breakfast hours are from 6:30 am to 9:00 am, and we arrived at 9:02 am, slightly late as we were packing our luggage and preparing to check out. By then, the kitchen staff were already putting away the food and preparing to close the breakfast area. I quickly took a bowl of soup from what was still available. I have stayed many times, but for the first time I knew the room could be so spacious, and looking back at the fire escape picture, it turned out to be the largest room on the entire floor. Being a member, booked directly on the hotel website but showed only 1 room left, because traveling with friends needed 2 rooms, did not expect to even be able to book 2 rooms on Trip.Com.

It was clean and nice. It's close to the station and convenient for transportation.

Toyoko-inn is always my prefer choice of hotel when visit Japan. It’s good location, cleanliness, facilities & free breakfast lol. This time, it also did not fail me. Will book again if I to visit ASAHIKAWA next time.

Great, great, great, great. This hotel is really good. My friend and I stayed at this hotel. The price of this hotel is very cheap in Japan. It is also close to JR. Although the breakfast is not rich, it is free. In Japan, it is an absolute advantage. There is a lot of snow near the hotel, but because it is close to the city center, it is cleaned up in time.

The convenience store is close by, and Asahikawa's downtown area (3.6km) is also just a 5-minute walk away. I use this place frequently for both business and leisure.

The bedrooms were more than comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, there was a photo opportunity at the entrance, and all amenities were provided.

The noise of the exhaust fan running all night was very uncomfortable, and the location was a bit far away. But parking was free, so that was nice.

We booked last minute due to weather. It was a great price and the hotel looked nice online. The advertising did not disappoint. The room was nice and spacious. The staff was amazing and helpful and welcoming, we also opted for the breakfast buffet in the morning which was pretty good. Everything was clean and stocked in the rooms and in the breakfast area. They have a garage for motorcycles too...

The facilities and location were okay, but the price and customer service were good. The customer service may depend on the employee, but everyone who served me was polite and pleasant.

The hotel is shabby, self check-in is a bit complicated at a machine... The toilet is full of mold, probably because the house is too old and there is no way to deal with it... There is free parking outside the hotel. The tatami is very comfortable to sleep on.

The Japanese tatami is very comfortable, it is very quiet at night, and it is very pleasant to take a walk by the river.

I will get right to the point with the reasons for the 5-Star rating 1) Bicycle-friendly hostel. There’s a working space for small repairs/maintenance next to reception 2) Larger than normal bunk bed in the 4-bedded mixed dorm. Backpack or bag can fit in the bunk bed. 3) Bed light that has 3 different intensity - a nice touch. Two charging ports and adequate hangers and clothesline in the bunk...

A cute little hostel. The owner is really nice and helpful and the cat is very friendly. It is also quite easy to get to know the other travellers since the place is small. It also gets pretty cramped at times and the room was quite hot (no air con!) in July.

This hostel was very nice. The price was a bit expensive for a hostel but the owner was friendly and hospitable. The facilities were great too. The bed has extra space for your bag and hanging clothes to dry. The kitchen was well equipped so we could cook our own meals. There is a friendly cat living here.

Tetsu-san, the owner, made me feel welcome. The place is clean, well-appointed with a good kitchen and modern hot showers. The bunk bed spaces are particularly spacious, and privacy is provided by curtains. Each space has a lamp and power point to charge your gear. Asahikawa Ride is a very new Hostel (02.2018). It is clean and there are nice small dorms. So you do not have to sleep with 10 other people in one room. Specially there is cat :-)

I was angry and left a bad review due to having no sleep, the owner contacted me, promptly and initially there was a communication problem, I regret that I responded angrily. Thank you for taking time to address my problem. --- Pros. Inexpensive. Comfortable beds. Cozy living area and showers. Cons. Have to be quiet or everyone will hear you. Neutral: Laid back environment. Caters to sports enthusiasts

Historical but warm. It's five star hotel for me.

Amazing stay. The host are great and did everything possible to make our stay the best possible experience. Very nice tea & biscuits offered every night, calm and clean place, 10min walking from asahikawa station.

I am really surprised by the kindness and hospitality of the host. They offer a Kimono experience for my wife ,who is extremely excited and delighted about it.Otherwise, the breakfast is also delicious and highly recommended.
