Cute guesthouse, simple but good price quality ratio. You can use the kitchen plates and fridge if you want to bring food (at some nights there are not many restaurants open in the village). The lady was nice and showed us our room but that was it, we only saw her once or twice to feed the cats. The cats are in another building, so no cats or animals in the guesthouse. Rooms were clean.

Nice and quite guest house with lot of cats. You can tastee the daily life of a Japanese family. Very good location to explore Naoshima and Teshima. Easy access by walk, bycicles, bus and ferry to the main museums and highlights. The owner doesn't speak English but it's not an issue if you know the basics of Japanese way of life and good behavior inside the house.

It's a basic guesthouse but very sweet and in a good location. The lady who runs it is very nice, and made us a good breakfast. Recommended if you're after somewhere not too pricey and authentic.

Simpel Japanese homestay. We arrived in the morning on the island, but the check in was at 5pm. Luckily we could store our bags and go to explore the island. They don't speak English, only some real basics.

We stayed in the en suite room . It was clean and comfortable. As others have described definitely a hostel but very well maintained and nicely furnished. The host could not have been nicer or kinder and was extremely helpful. Explaining a lot, helped us book restaurants. We felt close to the art houses and the hill was good exercise for my heart. Nice place on a hill, just a 10-12 min walk from the passenger boat pier on the Honmura side of Naoshima. Friendly manager "Johnny." Interior is nicer than the pix suggest. Really enjoyed meeting fellow guests by serendipity on the Uno port side (20 min across the water). Tip: If arriving after 6 pm, consider bringing snacks such as yogurt, nuts, etc. as the 7-11 is on the other side of the small island...
