We requested a non-smoking room and got a smoking room. We checked in a little late and when we asked about why we got a smoking room, they just said sorry, all the other non-smoking rooms are full despite accepting our initial booking for a non-smoking room. It reeked so bad

2nd stay. Great small hotel across from the station. Small non-smoking standard semi-double this time. Facing the parking area side is the best. Very nice check in and friendly staff. Breakfast was available but in a hurry we grabbed something from the convenience store next door. Coffee served free in the lobby. Large communal bath. I skipped it. Easy parking in the hotel lot is three minutes down the street around the corner. ¥300 super cheap. Only minus, no area to load/unload the car. Cheat and unload at the convenience store lot quickly. Oh, great rates. We'll be back for Obon

The observation bath was very pleasant.
My room was next to the elevator so the noise was a bit annoying, but other than that I had a pleasant stay.

A good budget option for use as a base to explore this part of Shikoku. Unfortunately, the air conditioning caused a sore throat which went away over the course of the day, then returned the next morning after sleeping with it on! Managed to reduce the effects by using the air purifier on the third night but this function is quite loud and might bother those who like to sleep in silence.

The soundproofing was reasonably good, with the exception of noise from the elevator which our room was next to. We managed to sleep well despite this but again, those who like complete silence should definitely ask for a room not next to the lift shaft.

The Saijo Urban Hotel is located right in front of the train station Iyo-Saijo. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a fine stay but I have to say that the interior is due for renovation. It kind of feels like everything is 50 years old. The insulation wasn't that good and as we were right next to the elevator, the room got pretty noisy.

The staff were friendly and kept our luggage after checkout.

As soon as I entered the room, I noticed that the bed was not made properly, and from then on everything felt a bit off. Also, there was a hair stuck in the locker key in the bathroom... It's a shame because the front desk was very helpful.

It is located in the center of Saijo City, especially right in front of the station, so it is easy to find, and it is convenient to go to restaurants and explore the surrounding area. The breakfast was also excellent. I highly recommend this place.

This was my first time staying here for business.
The bath on the top floor was very nice.
There was a convenience store next to the hotel, which was convenient.
