Hotel Kawaroku Her-Stage, Takamatsu1 / 8

Takamatsu, 1-2 Hyakkenmachi (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Nice hotel with great service and breakfast. My room was a bit small though
Modern travellers are increasingly prioritising efficiency and reducing their psychological burden by choosing to 'outsource meals' and skip hotel breakfasts. They want the freedom to travel at their own pace and to avoid crowds and the fatigue that comes with conformity. This trend allows hotels to specialise as 'stay spaces', while dining experiences shift towards external options, such as convenience...
Very very valuable hotel in japan. This hotel is quite & well managed hotel. I felt this hotel is much better than dormy inn after I used to stay dormy inn more than 30 times. Also room design is very convenient by separate toilet & bath . Small sauna & perfect open air bath for men. Also small table for snack & beer in the room etc.. It was best hotel during 20 years trip in japan.
Stayed 2 nights here for business trip. It’s quite and nonsmoking area. There’re pillows to rent. Sleep well. The breakfast is delicious. Mainly Japanese breakfast, open time is 6:30am to 9am. It’s next to the shopping area, extremely convenient. And there’re food corner during Christmas.
There is also a sauna and a large communal bath, so I was able to spend a comfortable time there. I was also satisfied with the wide variety of breakfast options. Although it is simple, there is also a locker room where you can store large luggage when you are not staying, which was convenient.
I was staying at the new wing. Everything looked new, clean and tidy to me. Although the room decor is quite bland, it is clean and spacious. Big hot bath is also spacious, there are outdoor and indoor one, plus a cold water bath and a sauna room. There is a relaxing room with full body massage chairs for guests to use. Location is convenient, very short walk to the shopping street and public transport...

This hotel is at a very convenient location in Takamatsu. Walking distance to JR station and Castle Park, the airport bus is also just across the street. This breakfast of this hotel is optional but its of goof quality with both Japanese and Western Option. Will recommend
The room is spacious and the view is good. It is very close to the JR station with 2 shopping malls around. It is also close to the pier so it's great for tourists who go island hopping. There are plenty of good udon places around.
Very convenient location immediately next to the station and castle park, and useful amenities including laundromat. The public bath on the 9th floor was lovely after a long journey. Comfortable rooms and very efficient service. I would stay here again.
Excellent location Excellent breakfast Smaller than expected room Room had smell Very pricey during peak season
Within walking distance to takamatsu station
Fantastic location right next to the station and ferry port—super convenient for island hopping! The room was clean, spacious, and had a lovely view. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet was a nice bonus. Would definitely stay again!

The car park is base on first come first serve… Hotel is dated. Need renovation
Little bit old hotel but still keep very well, free dinner it’s very surprising good
Spent 3 days here. Staffs are nice. You can enjoy free night rice everyday from 6-9 pm. Budget good hotel in Takamatsu!
If I visit Kagawa, I'll definitely choose Celecton again.
I am very satisfied with the hotel overall. The staffs are very professional, kind and nice
The hotel is old, dilapidated, and quite dated. It was my oversight not to confirm that the room wasn't non-smoking, as the bedding reeked of cigarette smoke. The breakfast was very basic with a limited variety of options. While the staff were quite good, the hotel itself is simply too old and worn out.

JR Hotel Clement Takamatsu, Takamatsu1 / 27High rating

Takamatsu, 1-1 Hamanocho (in the centre) 🧭 Map
This hotel is a great option, located just a 3-minute walk from Takamatsu Station. The rooms seem to have been recently renovated and are, as always, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The sea view from the window is also charming. Breakfast is a highlight, with an excellent selection of dishes and fresh fruit, and the omelets are perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I'm really...
This is probably the closest high-class hotel to Takamatsu Port, at least judging by its exterior and lobby decor. For the rooms, it really depends on the view. If you get a room facing the port, it's quite nice; if it's city view, it's just so-so. The room size is definitely a bit larger than typical Japanese budget chain hotels, but only just a little! The location is very convenient for guests planning...
Rooms are spacious and clean with an unbeatable view over the port and castle park. Breakfast has a lot of variety but taste is average.
The twin room was really cramped; there was hardly any space after putting down the two beds. The hotel's main advantage is its location near the port, perfect for island hopping. Out of all the hotels on our Shikoku trip, this was the only one that didn't provide complimentary bottled water in the room. We stayed here the night before to catch the 8:04 Slowbro ferry to Shodoshima. Later, we moved...
Decent size for a few nights' stay, with sufficient room to open up suitcase. A bit of sea view if on the high floor. Had two stretches of stay at this hotel and we could store our suitcase with them while we stayed two nights on the islands.
The service was excellent; dropping off my luggage was incredibly smooth, and it was already in my room when I returned from the island the next day. The water dispensers on some floors were also very convenient to use.

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Takamatsu, Takamatsu1 / 21

Takamatsu, 8-23, Marugame-machi (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Very good service and good location
Although it takes more time to get this hotel than the other hotels which just build surround the JR station, it's had big clean rooms and modern facilities. It's a worth to go, and this hotel is super close to the restaurant and shopping area, it's a nice experience to live there.
We have stayed in many Daiwa Roynet Hotels in Japan, and we’ve trusted the Daiwa Roynet brand very much. However, the Takamatsu property is the worst we’ve experienced so far, and after this stay we will be more cautious about choosing to stay at Daiwa Roynet in the future. The facilities are very old and urgently need refurbishment. The cleanliness of our room was also quite shocking. There was hair...
Room was clean and location is the best. Car park right at the same building with reasonable cost, may shops and restaurant nearby hotel. Would definitely come again
The hotel is located above the Shikoku Bank building in Marugamemachi, with the front desk on the eighth floor. Minamishinmachi is right across the street. The area is bustling and transportation is convenient. There's a taxi stand downstairs, and it costs about 800-something yen to take a taxi to the JR station. There are public bus stops within a 5-minute walk, making it very easy to get to Ritsurin...
This hotel is conveniently located right in the heart of Takamatsu's downtown shopping district, making it super easy to get around. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and the airport shuttle bus stops just a 5-minute walk away. The rooms are quite spacious and well-equipped, and it's a nice touch that they offer complimentary coffee and tea bags in the lobby. Really great!

Fast check in good hot spring good breakfast and free car park is convenient
A business hotel chain with great amenities. Location is not perfect as it is in between two tram stations , some diners around without convenient stores or supermarkets in close proximity.
Not appropriate for solo backpacker as it is far away from city centre, should rely on public transportation Provided free big bath room to relax yourself
Hotel staff at reception desk is super helpful and very patient to assist customer. Room is super clean and breakfast is nice. We stayed this hotel for 4 nights for a golf trip. A typical Dormy Inn. Rooms were clean and functional. The public bath had a sauna and also featured an outdoor area. All in all, a pleasant stay.
I recently stayed at this hotel and had a very pleasant and comfortable experience. The bath amenities were great. It was spacious and clean. I really relaxed in the lobby and bath. There was Sanuki Flower Garden nearby, so I enjoyed the flowers. I traveled by car, though. It was also refreshing to walk to the ranch 🫏 and see the cows from a distance.
I was very grateful for the quick shuttle to the airport.
My flight was cancelled and they came to pick me up in the middle of the night, which was nice.
The hotel also had a hot spring, sauna, lounge, and massage room, which was very comfortable. However, we arrived at night and it was difficult to get to the surrounding shops without a car, so we ate cup ramen instead. It would have been great to have something freshly made!
It's nice that there is a large public bath and hot spring. There is also a sauna. It's also convenient that they provide free shuttle service from the airport.
This was my first time staying at an APA Hotel, and I was looking forward to it. We were traveling as a family and drove our own car, but I was surprised by the free shuttle service from the airport, which was close by. Perhaps because of this, there were a lot of businessmen staying. The facilities and amenities were excellent, and the room was luxurious, but I was disappointed that there was a lot...

Nice hotel that’s just had been refreshed but still have the 90s vibe. Reception staff was a senior gentleman who looked like he can’t speak English but was able to converse in English. Like the appearance of the hotel, it’s a hidden gem. Located in between MacDonalds and 7-11 so it’s pretty convenient and good quality hotel. And free parking too! If lucky, can park right at the entrance to the lobby
The room (2 beds) was quite spacious - the biggest one i had in Japan. The bathroom had a lot of space as well. Everything was clean and nice. The location is a bit far from the railway station, but the bus stop is nearby and if you're with a backpack it's just 20 minutes walk.
Very comfortable and very clean room. Quiet too. Ideal hotel to spend the night before/after take the ferry to Shōdoshima. The parking is quite big. The staff is very nice and helpful.
Hotel is located far from JR station, need to communicate via taxi if u have luggages. Almost Nothing to eat within 10 mins walk except a McDonald at next door. Other than that, all good. Hotel Facilities and staff are high-end hotel standard. The hotel is very grand and room is (very) large enough as well. Obviously, local people take it as a wedding banquet place.
I had a wonderful journey when I stayed in this hotel—the cleanness of the room and the high quality of amenities made my trip another level. Many thanks to the friendly staff and people in Takamatsu, I believe I will come back again soon.
The front desk staff were very welcoming, and the hotel facilities were complete and comfortable. It was also very clean and quiet, so I slept really well. Dinner was delicious.

Extremely clean and tidy, with excellent service. Though small, it has everything you need. Shopping and dining nearby are convenient, and transportation is easy. You can walk to attractions and the train station.
Rooms are small but quite decent. Location is unbeatable as it is located next to the airport bus station and long shopping street. Best part is the breakfast with lots of local produce.
There are only 2 elevators so it is not convenient when waiting while they have tons of guest using same elevator. Good thing is hotel location is near bus stop and convenient store. Staffs are quite patient. Check - in staff did not read room request so I have to make long explain and wait longer after she assigned room key.

Wow, a really clean and comfortable hotel with very helpful staff. The location was spot on. The bus stop is right outside the hotel and it isn't too far of a walk to the main train station. Breakfast was amazing in both selection and quality and there was even a Balmuda toaster for our bread. It begins at 6.30am and everything is already ready by then. This room type of 2 twins beds and 1 futon bed is recommended as the beds are comfortable and the room is spacious.
We have a pleasure trip The hotel is very convenience and we like the hot spring a lot.
Hotel location is good where closed to the Takamatsu Port (9 min / 2.3km). If you are doing road trip, this hotel has the self owned car park, though the cost is a bit high - 1,500 Yen per night. During my visit, the Central Park was under construction, however, the view is still fine. Hot spring as the same across the brand Dormny Inn, very clean, spring water, well management.
We always stay this hotel chain when we visit Japan due to their hot spring and fair room rates.

A very old building and tired fittings, in desperate need of a revamp. However, service is immaculate. Cleanliness is adequate for such an old building.
The advantage is that it's right next to Hyogo-cho, making dining and shopping very convenient, and bottled water is provided. The downsides are quite baffling; the toilet paper is even thinner than at other hotels, the kind that makes you worried it'll tear even after folding it multiple times.
I booked another night. The price for my original room type had gone up a lot online, so I had to switch to a slightly smaller room. The room was decent, at least there was space for my luggage, and all the other facilities were the same. Actually, it would have been cheaper to book directly at the front desk.
I booked an accessible room, and it was genuinely spacious. It's really comfortable to stay in a 35 sqm room in Japan. There was a slight odor when I first entered the room, but it cleared up after I turned on the air purifier. Downside: The soundproofing isn't great. Upside: Everything else is a plus. The location is excellent. There's an airport shuttle right downstairs, which costs 1000 yen and...
The front desk service was very attentive. The hotel's location is excellent, right in front of the airport shuttle stop, and just a short walk to the shopping street.
This was probably the most expensive hotel we stayed at during this trip, but it was unavoidable since it coincided with a Japanese holiday. **Environment:** The location is excellent. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, with the concierge booking us a nearby restaurant for dinner. The complimentary alcoholic drinks and canapés was much appreciated and the breakfast was superb. I would thoroughly recommend a stay at this hotel. The beautiful Ritsurin Gardens are 25 minutes walk from the hotel.
Room is clean and tidy. Their staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in the city centre and close to many restaurants and shops.
This is the worst hotel we’ve stayed in Japan. Our room was so tiny and needed renovation not justified the high price we’ve paid. Breakfast was poor with limited selection. Definitely would not go back to this hotel again.
It's a bit on the expensive side, but absolutely worth every penny. I was completely satisfied with everything, from the room's condition to its excellent location.
The hotel is a bit dated, but it's very well-maintained. I particularly liked the sit-down vanity table; it made getting ready much more comfortable. While there weren't any Chinese-speaking staff, a Japanese lady was diligently learning Chinese, which I found very commendable.
Very happy of the time, could rent bicycle for 300 yen! Location super convenient

The hotel's location is excellent. The airport bus drops you off right there, it's a ten-minute walk to the port, and taking the bus to Ritsurin Garden is very convenient. The room is compact with a well-arranged layout, offering good value for money. Breakfast is simple but filling, and the seasonal udon is a nice bonus.
The hotel's location is great for shopping and dining. Right across the street, there's a Sanuki Noodle shop with delicious and affordable udon. The duty-free drugstore next door is cheaper than others and even has Chinese-speaking staff. The lobby offers free self-service coffee. However, the room design is impractical; the door opens directly to the bathroom, and there's no space to put luggage.
The location is superb! Right where the airport bus drops you off, about a 7-8 minute walk to the port, and not far from Takamatsu Station. There's also a shopping street nearby, making dining very convenient. The cleanliness and service are good, and the breakfast is also excellent 👍. This chain offers great value for money.
You can't ask for more from a budget hotel! The location is super convenient, close to Takamatsu JR Station, and the airport shuttle stops right downstairs. Shopping and dining are a breeze. The hotel is clean and tidy, and they offer free breakfast, tea bags, and facial cleanser.
