As I wanted to have a hot spring spa near the Akita Station, I chose this hotel. The spa has two large baths and a sauna room. The room was contact but neat and tidy. When I stayed at one of their hotels in Shimonoseki, I was impressed by its variety and quality. So I bought a breakfast for 2000 yen. I still give this hotel 5 stars overall, but its breakfast was not as good as the one in Shimonoseki

The location was fantastic, connected directly to the station, bus interchange and shopping malls. I absolutely have to give this place a five-star review! The service was incredible. We arrived before check-in time and left our luggage, and they actually moved it to our room for us. The staff in this hotel were so helpful, i had lost some items and the staff went out of their way to assist me in retriving them back. Really appreciate their help for this. The room was big and clean as well, location was very convenient, less than a 5 min walk away from Akita station for the shinkansen.

There was an unpleasant smell in the room that felt like someone's body odour and the room was quite stuffy. Also, there was no complimentary bottled water. Was disturbed by furniture dragging and heavy footsteps late at night. The only good I felt was its location.

2024 ~ I used to be a repeat guest, you can stay from 5000 yen on a cheap day. But …. Bed is hard as rock. But the bed that I got the last time was like a rock that has been partially crushed by past users. It was very uncomfortable. All beds in Daiwa hotels are hard beds, I will not stay again. If your coming from the JR station, you'll walk about 10-15 minutes past lots of hotels before you reach this place. That said, it's a fairly pleasant walk. There's also a 100yen circle bus (little blue bus) that stops outside the hotel. Staff are efficient. Double room is as expected pretty small, but we spend only sleeping hours in the room so it's adequate for the very reasonable price.

Although I didn't book breakfast due to my schedule, the hotel's location is excellent, right next to Senshu Park, and it's a quick walk to the station. It's a convenient first choice for accommodation when visiting Akita.
