Nothing to blame. Everything is just great. There is also foot onsen in front of the hotel with very nice view. There is nothing much in this town but if you want to onsen, this is highly recommended!

This hotel is located in a small village with a long history, and the atmosphere in the town is absolutely wonderful. The hotel parking lot is about 300 meters away, which is manageable and not too far.

The interior is designed in traditional Japanese style, with a beautiful garden in the center of the hotel. It’s truly stunning. In front of the hotel, there is also a foot bath area, which adds a nice local touch.

The rooms are authentic Japanese-style rooms. While we were having dinner, the staff came to prepare and lay out the futon for us, which made the experience feel very traditional and special.

Breakfast and dinner may not be luxurious, but the food tastes good and the portions are generous — we were very full and satisfied. Some staff members speak very good English, which was very helpful. The hotel shop also offers a good variety of products.

Personally, my favorite spot was the relaxing seating area next to the central garden — it was the perfect place to unwind.

The room price is very reasonable and not expensive at all. This is definitely one of the most worthwhile places I’ve stayed.

We've visited my wife's grandma in Atsumi Onsen six times over the past ten years and stayed at Tachibanaya twice since having had children. It's truly an amazing place to visit. The hosts are very friendly, the hotel is in immaculate condition and has lovely views overlooking the amazing gardens and pond on the grounds.

The main reason we chose Tachibanaya is the child-friendly amenities such as a cot whilst you eat in the dining hall, or when bathing in the onsen. Moreover, small details like a nappy pail, baby toilet seats, etc all make it a very enjoyable stay.

Naturally, the food is, like most Ryokan, simply amazing. Whilst we thought the dinner was lovely, it was the breakfast which was truly impressive. It featured local produce from the sea and farm.

We chose to stay in one of the detached cottages over-looking the pond with a separate room for our eldest to sleep whilst we relaxed in the main room. The staff were happy to provide a child-sized futon.

Whilst you may struggle to stay here if you don't speak Japanese, it is totally worth the effort. The drive from Niigata is easy and has a number of good michnoeki along the way and atsumi onsen, despite being very sleepy, with its little river is a lovely sight.

A wonderful Onsen hotel in the heart of Atsumi Onsen. The facilities and staff were excellent. Onsen was clean and hot. Rooms very spacious.
Plenty of car parking available and the staff will direct you where to park.

Everything was good. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. The room was a little dirty, the TV was a bit small, and there wasn't much entertainment in the evening. I was very satisfied with the food. I would stay here again if I have the chance. It's easy to find if you're driving there. The parking lot is a little distance from the hotel, but the hotel will pick you up.

Very satisfied, the bed is very comfortable, we stayed in a Japanese-style house, the dinner is worth recommending, it is very rich and tastes very good, the chef is very skilled. The outdoor onsen was also nice.

As it is a long-established luxury inn, there are no problems with the facilities or the service.
However, one thing that bothered me was that I had to wait a long time for dinner when I went to the dining room at the designated time. There were no strings to fasten the sleeves of the yukata anymore. It may have been a coincidence, but it was a great disappointment for a luxury inn that I rarely go to.

My mother has bad legs, so we chose Hatsune, which has an indoor bath.

It was spacious and nice.

When making the reservation, I requested an additional breakfast, but when I checked with the hotel, I was told that the hotel didn't ask about my request, rather than saying that the hotel was being strict. I told them that I had made an additional request, and somehow they made arrangements and I was able to have breakfast.
