In short: they invested a lot of money to make the hotel beautiful, but they bought the worst quality mattress possible. Besides the hell that place is, because you have to face a huge line for everything! The elevator always has a queue... which is bizarre... so pity anyone who decides to have breakfast there... a bizarre waiting line... in short, the worst experience one can have in a hotel, because they worry a lot about appearances, but little about the comfort of the guests.

I'd stayed at APA Hotels several times before, so I didn't have high expectations, but the facilities were better than I expected, with a large public bath, extensive amenities, and free VOD.
Perhaps because it's Niigata, the buffet included freshly cooked rice cooked in a rice cooker, which I personally found most enjoyable.
Overall, I think it was a good value for money accommodation.
