Yurt Camp Azamat at Song Kol Lake in Naryn

We had an amazing experience at Azamat’s yurt camp at Song-Kul Lake.
The yurts are very cozy, clean, and warm with a good heating system, so it was comfortable even during the night. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful – traditional meals made with fresh local products.

What made our stay truly special was the hospitality. Azamat and his team welcomed us warmly, helped with everything we needed, and created a very friendly atmosphere. The view of the lake is breathtaking – wide mountain panoramas and fresh air make it unforgettable.
Actually there is a lot of yurt camps closed because of the weather, October, cold, snow but Azamat yurt camp is open, thank you so much!

This yurt camp schalps ( it’s really good) food was served fresh and hot . The bed in the yurts were comfy. We went in early October and it was snowing so it got really really cold so remember to pack warm attire as it gets very cold at night.they also have a proper clean WC

​This yurt camp was excellent! The staff were incredibly friendly and spoke good English, which was a huge help. Our yurt was clean and cozy, the shared toilets were spotless, and the food was delicious. They even lit the stove at night so the yurt is not too cold.
​The camp is right next to the lake, and they offer a horse riding experience that is definitely worth the extra cost.
They also have dogs and cats roaming around, the dogs are well trained and seemed to know they are not allowed in the yurts.
We lost signal with O! but the owner immediately offered to share her phone's hotspot.
​Fill up your car with petrol before going through the pass, there are no stations near the Song-Kul area!
Beware of the weather! We got there when it was hot and sunny and woke up the morning after with snow, in the middle of September.

Hosts speak great English, and make sure you feel welcome.
The yurt camp is further from the other ones, making it feel more calm and private. The yurts are the best from the ones we've visited in Kyrgyzstan. The beds are comfortable, enough blankets are provided, yurt has a stove for heating, and the decoration is pretty.
They food is decent. They offer horseback riding for 1 hour (1500som), 2 hour (2500som), 3 hour (3500som). Definitely recommend 3 hours as they will take you to a peak on the hills which gives you an amazing view of the area.

Such a unique and memorable stay in a yurt! Even though it got super cold at night (yes, even in July!), the staff kept the yurt nice and warm, so we slept really well. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and filling. We also did a sunset horseback ride—which was absolutely magical—and a peaceful morning walk to the lake with stunning views. Plus, the morning shower was warm and refreshing—much appreciated before hitting the road again. Definitely a special experience in nature!
