Kingston Hotel 15 @ Ipoh in Ipoh

Do not stay here, there was a cockroach on the bed.

The hotel is run down and in dire need of some maintenance. I booked two rooms for my family, one had an issue with the air conditioning on arrival and after notifying staff and someone coming to take a look, it still was not functioning as well as the other room. We asked to switch to a new room which was about the same, and decided to just deal with it for the few nights we were there.

After the first night, neither room had been serviced. We had to ask for more toilet paper as you are only given the single roll in the holder. We asked for both rooms to be serviced the next day, and only one was serviced. The new towels provided had stains on them. This was also where a cockroach was hiding, which we caught under a glass and notified the staff. They seemed surprised and came to dispose of it, but nothing else was done.

The staff we encountered were helpful, but it was apparent that the hotel was incredibly understaffed and poorly managed. I will never stay here again.

Honestly don’t know where to start. Room dirty, toilet broken, shower broken and no sink or bath plug. Asked reception for one and sent up a plug that didnt fit. TV broken and had to use a key as door card wouldn’t work. Wi-Fi really poor and room wasn’t cleaned in 3 days. The cafe is non existent along with the room service and the continental breakfast advertised also does not exist. Stay far away from this one

Totally not a great service hotel, use to be Regency Hotel but now change to Kington( New Management). Need to improvise alot.
