Velidhoo is an excellent place to discover the local culture. Island Host was one of few places to stay at the island and probably the best one. Room was crystal clean, cervice was amazing. They have many great tours. We had an amazing experience 😊

We spent 10 days in Velidhoo, a beautiful island where you can experience the real Maldivian lifestyle,traditions and culture. We were delighted by the professional and kind service that Adam and his staff provided us in Island Host! The guesthouse and its restaurant are very close to each other and have both a wonderful ocean view! Food and drinks are really good and they can also being delivered into your room! Highly recommended the excursion to Raafushi island and the Picnic in Thanburudhoo island! Thank you so much for the memorable moments!

Relax and snorkelling are the two key words of this amazing holiday. The GuestHouse is comfy and has all the amenities you needs also thanks to Amed who loves to keep it clean and make guests feeling at home. Snorkelling in around this island is simply amazing. You can see many different type of fishes.. the one I liked the most was a stingray. The food was also amazing. I definitely recommend this GuestHouse to who ever wants to enjoy the Maldives and not being in a 5 stars resort. If you are looking to experience Maldives in all his beauty look no further since you will also be living like a Maldivian. We experienced a day trip to a desert island Raafushi and the water looks like a pool. Beautiful. A special thank you to Adam who has been looking after us the all time.

After a year we have returned to this wonderful place, this time with three children. As I wrote before, the guest house is located near the harbour. The environment of the guesthouse had improved since our first visit, the park and the nearby seaside had been reconstructed now its more beautiful than before. There is a new sports center has balso been bult, wher you can rent jetsky or a SUP, and you can also go to snorkel and dive if you wold like to. The restaurant s runned by the same owner so the breakfast (and for us the dinner) is also served there, but they can send the drinks and food to the room. The breakfast is plentiful, you can choose from a large selection, you can even taste the local flavors, but you can also have a traditional continental breakfast. They thought of the little ones as well, my daughter asked for pancakes almost every day. The guesthouse has three separate rooms with a common lobby and well equipped kitchen. The air conditioned rooms are really comfortable. They place great emphasis on cleanliness. There are free bikes and snorkeling equipment you can use for free. Our host, Adam again did everything for us to have a great time and family vacation. We have been several times snorkeling, went together to a sunset fishing cruise, and spent a fantastic night in an unhabited island at Than'burudhoo. On our final day we celebrated the 16th birthday of our daughter, who got a beautiful birthday cake. Thank you for everything, If you can make it, I hope we will be back again!

We had enjoyed our stay to a point you can never imagine. Everything is perfect , the island , the beach , our island host who was flexible and very helpful ... literally island host means island host.. we will be back for sure

We have spent a wonderful week in the guest house with my wife to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. The guest house is located near the harbour, with a nice park in front of it just next to the restaurant which is runned by the same owner so the breakfast (and for us the dinner) is also served there, but if we asked for, they sent the drinks and food to the room. The guesthouse has three separate rooms with a common lobby and well equipped kitchen. The air conditioned rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The bed is really comfortable with comfy pillows in it. Everything was clean and tidy. There are free bikes and snorkeling equipment you can use. Our hosts, Adam and his brother Ahmed did everything they could for us to have a great time and vacation. On the first day Adam took us around the island on a bike ride, then several time we have been snorkeling, we have been in a romantic sunset cruise, spent a fantastic night in an unhabited island and went together to a sunset fishing. So its really hard to use words to describe the many experiences we had.

The island host is a wonderful place to stay if you want to experience what life in the Maldives is like. The guesthouse is run by Adam and Ahmed who also own the local bar and restaurant next door. The food there is spectacular, the cooks are from India and we simply could not try everything although we would have loved to. Adam picked up ideas in his travels round the world, so the menu also includes caramel frappacinos and banana splits. Also definitely try the wide range of mocktails! Adam is very focuses on making your stay the best possible and even when things go wrong did a stellar job at making things work including managing to organise a PCR test in the very last minute due to very short term changes of plan, making sure everything ran smoothly. He does ask at the beginning of each stay and after booking whether any are needed and at the time I'd hadn't been necessary. Thank you you for that!!
There are lots of activities to do. We started the first day with a bike tour of the island with Adam explaining about how the island life works and telling us about local culture and traditions. We also went snorkeling with him in one of the three (!!) house reefs. Snorkeling equipment and bicycles were included in the room price. He offers many more activities from fishing together and grilling the fish in the courtyard on a coconut shell fire, to a night away on another island with picknick meals. We also enjoyed an evening with Adam and his wife where they taught us how to cook Maldivian food in the kitchen of the guesthouse. If you want to go diving make sure to let then know in advance. The guesthouse itself is cosy with a communal kitchen and lounge area (with a TV with Netflix access) and 3 separate rooms for up to 7 people.
I would definitely go back here for a holiday, but can definitely recommend it also if you can do remote work for longer stretches of time ;)

Good guesthouse, friendly hosts, housekeeper keeps house tidy and clean all day. Next door is restaurant, chef and waiters are brilliant, food is great , specially curry. If you like tuna, you have to visit
