VIOLET INN in Dharavandhoo

I spent 5 nights here. I really enjoyed my time on the island. The room is fairly basic, but had everything I needed. I booked a snorkeling tour with them to Turtle Island and the Coral Garden which was fabulous and they also helped me arrange a transfer to nearby Maalhos since I needed to go on a Friday when the ferry wasn't running.

We had a great time staying in Violet Inn. The excursions were wonderful and the meals were excellent. We chose the half board option.

Staff are very friendly

We had an excellent stay at Violet Inn. The location was just perfect for us, being only a few minutes walk to both the bikini beach (which was beautiful and perfect for snorkelling right from the bay) and the harbour (where you can see sting rays and nurse sharks right from the edge, by the fish market each evening). Our room was lovely and clean, with functioning air conditioning and a very large bed! The true highlight of our stay was the service we received from the staff. We want to particularly mention Babu and Wilson, who were so kind and accommodating to our needs from the moment we arrived. The food Babu cooked us throughout our stay was tasty and the portions were very generous! Thank you so much for everything, we will surely be back to Violet Inn on our next visit to Dharavandhoo.

We stayed at this property and overall had a great time. The hotel is simple, clean, and welcoming, with truly friendly and helpful staff, always ready to assist with the practical and organizational aspects of your stay. The property is slightly older than the photos, but still functional and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Don't expect a typical hotel breakfast, as the meals are quite simple, but considering the reasonable price, it's an excellent option for those looking for no-frills accommodations with a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. Recommended for those seeking affordable, unpretentious accommodations that offer a high level of hospitality and practicality!

I have to mention Wilson who throughout did his best to be helpful and see to everything I needed. Shafee is a great guide and always helpful. Babu is efficient in his role as cook. The hotel is in an excellent location on the island, very central to anything one might need and close to the harbour. My room was adequately sized for one person, clean but a little worn out. Overall a good place to stay

This was my second stay at the Violet Inn snd I am looking forward to my third. I go to Dharavandhoo for diving and iolet Inn is the perfect place to stay. Clean, friendly, and very comfortable at a very reasonable price. Mubeen the Inn managee is super accomodating and will go out of his way to make sure your stay is great. The Inn is walking distance to the boats and restaurants on the island and a perfect location to stay. I will definitelt stay at the Violet Inn when I return to Dharavandhoo!

Cute guesthouse on Dharavandhoo. Everything on the island is walkable, and Violet Inn is never more than a short walk to anywhere. Staff were super helpful, especially in helping us with the speedboat transfer when our flight was delayed, and also for organising day trips. We'll definitely be back during manta ray season!

We stayed for 4 days 4 nights at Violet Inn. Arrived via 40 minute domestic flight. Was only sunny on our first day and rained on our entire stay but the rain did not discourage us. The hotel itself can do with a number of refurbishment / maintenance work but we did not mind. There is coffee making facilities, filtered water, and washing machine to wash dirty clothes. Though the sun would have provided better lighting to our photos but the experience of having to swim with the mantas is just surreal. Also enjoyed that we were the only guests in the inn so we had the whole place to ourselves. We were fullboard so we had breakfast, lunch and dinner included in our package. The food was served in the nearby restaurant which was about 200m walk. I loved Maldivian food! There is also a nearby Bikini Beach. We had the boat to ourselves on our first 2 days and shared with guests from other hotel on our last day and my oh my. I could just snorkel with the mantas ALL DAY in fact, I enjoyed it so much, I would like to go back to just swim with the mantas again! Afoo from Violet Inn has been very helpful along with Husento who was our tour guide to Hanifaru.
