Best choice! The rooms were very clean (cleaned every day, with fresh towels and drinking water replenished daily). Air conditioning worked well and Wi-fi was good.
The staff were extremely kind and helpful. The hotel can arrange everything for you – trips to see sharks, manta rays, whale sharks, and more. They also organize snorkel and mask rentals, as well as scooter rentals, very quickly. Everything was delivered directly to the hotel. The reception staff were especially helpful.
Breakfast was good and rich, but I hoped for better coffee.
The location is excellent – a very strategic place, close to the beach, shops, and nature, right in the middle of everything.
We paid everything at the end of our stay (in dollars, and card payment was also possible), and all items were clearly listed on the invoice. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We loved our stay at Whaleshark Beach, the excursions are world class. Majuudee the snorkelling guide, is calm, kind and very knowledgeable. You can snorkel with whalesharks, manta rays, nurse sharks and sting rays, it is incredible! All staff in the hotel are helpful, the chef is amazing - we loved all the food at the hotels' Remora restaurant. It's a quiet time to visit at the moment which made the snorkelling even more special. It was a holiday of a lifetime with ocean experiences we'll never forget.

aleshark Beach Hotel was truly exceptional – a perfect 5-star experience in every way. The rooms were spotless and beautifully maintained, which made us feel comfortable and relaxed from the moment we arrived. What really made our stay unforgettable, however, was the incredible staff. They were not only extremely friendly and welcoming, but also genuinely caring and attentive. During Jacob’s illness, they went far above and beyond anything we could have expected. They constantly offered their help and support, showing a level of kindness and compassion that deeply touched us both. It is something we will never forget. The location is absolutely perfect, just a few steps from a beautiful bikini beach, making it easy to enjoy the stunning surroundings. The hotel also provides thoughtful amenities such as beach towels, shampoo, shower gel, and body lotion, as well as free drinking water available 24/7 – small details that make a big difference. The island itself is beautiful, with a very friendly, welcoming, and honest local community, which added even more charm to our stay. We can wholeheartedly recommend Whaleshark Beach Hotel to anyone looking for a warm, relaxing, and truly memorable experience. We would love to come back again.

We stayed at whaleshark beach for 4 night 5 days, it was very lovely and cozy, it’s quiet new and i found out it has very good sound proofing, staffs were excellent, very friendly and has a lot of knowledge about the island, hotel also helps organize dives and different excursions to see turtles, whale-sharks and sandbank trips, food was excellent, with different varieties and recommendations for chef’s specialties, Rohit, the executive chef, came to greet us and check on the food which was an excellent touch, the only thing to be improved i would say is the breakfast buffet. We highly recommend this hotel, as you will not be disappointed by their quality services.

Rooms are spacious and extremely clean. The staff and management are always polite and helpful, going out of their way even when I showed up unprepared. The restaurant is nice and worth trying.
For improvements, organizing trips would be much easier with an online reservation system where guests can book and follow up in advance. The whaleshark safari could also be more interesting beyond just hunting for the sharks.

We arrived in Dhigurah on 2 January, after a long journey, in the evening, and were warmly welcomed by the Whaleshark staff. We were immediately struck by the beauty of the building, the spaciousness and cleanliness of the room, and the quality of the food in the hotel restaurant, located on a charming, well-lit rooftop, where we enjoyed the best meals of our entire holiday (we also tried other restaurants, but the chef at Whaleshark is unrivalled!). The next day, we were so enchanted by the beauty of the island's paradisiacal landscape that I forgot my phone on the beach: and it was at that moment that I realised the value of staying in a hotel facilities run by the local population, who are wonderful. George, his entire incredible staff and the rest of the island immediately sprang into action, accompanying my partner around the island free of charge to search for my phone, without stopping, until, twelve hours later, they found it. Thank you, George, and thank you, everyone. There are no words to describe how much you supported me and made me feel at home, even though I was on the other side of the world. In addition to the exquisite food, the extensive and varied breakfast, both sweet and savoury, the room with a wonderful view, the fresh water always available in the room, the comfortable bed and the enchanting terrace, the real added value of this establishment is the people who live there. A paradise in the heavenly Dhigurah, a spectacular island, rich in facilities and restaurants, but still large enough to remain authentic and wild. Not to mention the excursions and the varied and beautiful experiences that the hotel offers... the attention to the customer is constant, they pamper you and accommodate you at all times. And if, like me, you are a little careless, the whole island is ready to help you! Thank you! Now I have “forgotten” my heart at Whalesharke!

We stayed for a week during our Honeymoon at Whaleshark Beach, the service was great, staff was very considerate and Ana helped plan a surprise and went out of her way to make sure everything went smoothly during our stay. The breakfast was very delicious, day trips were amazing and the location is great too since the island is quite walkable. We highly recommend this place!

We stayed at Whale Shark Beach in August with our family, and it was an amazing experience! The location is perfect — just a few steps from the beautiful beach and close to everything you might need on Dhigurah. The staff were absolutely wonderful — always smiling, helpful, and made us feel truly welcome from the first day. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was absolutely delicious — every meal was fresh and full of flavor. Breakfast was great too! Our stay was relaxing, enjoyable, and full of great memories. Highly recommend this place for families looking for a peaceful and friendly stay in the Maldives!
