From the very first impression when we arrived at the port from our ferry to the birthday surprises and final goodbyes, Sands Grand I can highly recommend! The staff were super friendly and accommodating for every need. Our bedroom was decorated for our friends birthday before we arrived and again on her actual birthday plus balloons and chocolate cake! Our room was cleaned everyday, being provided with fresh shower and beach towels as well as drinking water.
The breakfast was great too! The location is okay, a short 10/15 minute walk to the bikini beach with many tourist shops, beach food carts and restaurants dotted about the island. Excursions are easy to book through hostel and are brilliant value for money. A huge shoutout to Ali Shaheen who is the general manager and a friend for life, we can't thank him enough for his kind heart and warm soul.
We will definitely be coming back and recommending to every body! Thank you so so much Sands Grand!! Aloha, Dhigurah xx

I was received by the guest house staff at the jetty upon arriving from Male. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The maldivian breakfast was excellent. The manager assisted the residents with booking excursions. He also assisted me with booking the speed boat to and from Male. Also important to note that you can pay for the room and excursions using a debit card without incurring additional charges. The location of the guesthouse is good. The rooms are big and spacious, and are cleaned daily. Beach towels are also provided and replaced daily. The beds were really comfortable and the wifi was fast. The fan and AC worked well and were a great reprieve from the scorching sun.

Service of this hotel is top notch. We had a watermelon and were just asking for a knife to cut it ourselves. And they ended up cutting it for us and presented it like that, twice. Also we checked out in the morning before we went to the beach, and we asked for a washroom to change and clean up as we came back. They didn't have any free room that we could use so the manager offered us to use his room for washing up. Even brought us towels afterwards. At this point I'm crying over their service. 10/10

Perfect stay: the staff was warm, professional and friendly. My room was big, comfortable and clean. Breakfast on the terrace was delicious and common areas were well maintained. I would happily stay here again, 100% recommended!

It was the best trip of my life! Thanks to Sands Grand Hotel for your service, the food was delicious, the stuff was soo kind, the massages were very good and it's the perfect spot on the isle in my opinion. One point deduction because for some broken furnishings but in the end they do their best and everything was amazing - the stuff is with heart and soul a very positive one with good vibes and especially they did the most amazing excursions with us - we saw every single animal - we were lucky. We were in a small group and I was very happy to have booked them. Coming back in April for sure! Recommending to 100% and oh and the bbq setting on the beach was beautiful and the bbq on the desert island was spectacular. We had the best time. Thank you.

The location is excellent, close to the beach and everything you need on the island. The staff are incredibly welcoming and always ready to help, making every part of the stay smooth and enjoyable. The food is absolutely delicious, a real highlight of the experience. It’s also the ideal place to book excursions and trips, with the team making sure everything is well organized. A wonderful choice for anyone visiting Dhigurah!

During my recent stay at a beautiful resort, I was initially impressed by the stunning environment, friendly staff, and delicious meals they served. However, my experience quickly soured due to the actions of the housekeeping staff. They frequently knocked on my door, waking me up and insisting I leave so they could "clean," which mainly involved making the beds and taking out the trash. Despite my repeated requests for them to keep the door closed while cleaning to prevent mosquitoes from entering, they consistently left it wide open. One day, I returned to my room to find the door ajar, and I realized that my cash had gone missing. I had taken precautions to hide it deep in my luggage after noticing a worker observing where I kept it, but it was clear that someone had taken it while I was away. The aftermath of this situation was incredibly frustrating. Instead of a thorough cleaning, I returned to find only a made bed, empty trash, and an empty wallet, alongside a many mosquitoes that had invaded my space due to them. My friend and I suffered through a night filled with mosquito bites, even with bug spray applied, which left us feeling sick and going to the local hospital to find treatments. Additionally, the discomfort of the beds was unbearable; two out of the three beds had only spring mattresses, causing immense back pain. When I requested a memory foam mattress, I was told that the rooms were full and nothing could be done, which was baffling considering that only one of the three beds had a memory foam option. The staff communicated fluently in English when they wanted us to leave, yet when I confronted them about my missing cash, they suddenly struggled to understand. Ultimately, the combination of discomfort, theft, and poor communication turned what should have been a relaxing getaway into a distressing experience.

I have to say I was sceptical that we choose 4*. In my opinion it was clearly 4*+. We were delighted by the hotel and most importantly restaurant. Service (Thuwan and sorry I dont know the name of the girl) in restaurant was very professional. Hand behind the back and very polite behavior. Love it! And the kitchen did very good job in cooking and I wanted to take him home :) . Next thing, manager of the hotel Shaheen is very good person and dealt with a small issue we had with speedboat and tried to fix it himself (he was not obligated to do that). He was also very well informed and very educated, so it was very easy to speak with him about anything and he also made time for us for a small talk. Yoosuf is very good young man with very good personality and he is a very good trip guy there. He knows everything literally and if he does not, he will find it as soon and possible and learn it. The only thing I have to say are mosquitos (not the issue of hotel) and the electricity. It has some weird behaviour, but not a deal breaker. Rooms are very clean although I would change toilets and showers. This is why I put 4*. This can be done easily and I think they will get it done very soon :) If I could I would go there again since this hotel and island is a paradise and I got in love with this place :)

We didn't like much the hotel as all. Clearly is not a 4 stars hotel. The reception was empty most of time when we needed. The bed was a bit tough as well. But Irufaan is a nice and honest person. He is also more prepared to deal with tourist then some colleagues. Some of then were a bit inpatient of not prepared to solve simple issues. The cleaning guy is a good person too. I want to do an honor mention to Thuwan. THIS employee deserves to be recognized and evolve in his career. He has sympathy, is smart, has good energy and made us feel really welcome there. He is 5 stars!

The food is good. But its not clean, has cockroach. Smell awfull. You have to say to change towels and sheets. Otherwise they wont change it. Towels smell bad. Water you have to buy. Overall not recommended. Staff is nice and polite.
