This was our second stay at an MJ property in Mauritius. We felt incredibly welcomed by the entire concierge staff of Alex, Vinesh, Anderson and Frankie. The villa has everything we needed, fully equipped and exactly like the pictures provided. The place is very nice and comfortable. We were warmly welcomed, and the reception employee " Vinesh " was really great and helpful.

Hospitality to the point. Great team. Resort manager Samuel and assistant Warren were very helpful and friendly. Housekeeping staff, Mrs Veronique, very nice and warm. Great place, only drawback is that the beach is quite rocky in this area hence swimming in the ocean is not ideal, other than that great place and facilities.

Beautiful place, and the staff is very friendly. Thank you! ​One remark regarding the restaurant: the food was not quite what we expected. The Caesar salad was a major disappointment—just a few slices of chicken, almost no dressing, no croutons, and some crumbs instead of Parmesan cheese. We also ordered breaded prawns but received something more like 'doughnuts,' served with sauce in a bottle cap...

The service in the hotel and the restaurant was perfect! Fardeen was great and satisfied all of our requests. Even during their national holiday he managed to organize a special dinner for us! The hotel offers good service, and breakfast with an ocean view is a buffet with plenty of variety. There's a swimming pool and sun loungers on the beach. It's convenient enough that you don't need to leave the hotel premises. However, the sea entrance isn't great, with many rocks and channels. For dinner, there are only two dishes to choose from, and for half-board guests, dinner starts quite late...

Great family run place. Excellent value for price. Enjoy the view while having breakfast. Enjoy the view while sipping on your cocktail. Kids-friendly place. We stayed in 2022. Positives - Great views and nice breakfast. The morning walks along the beach was out of this world. Negatives - It was extremely stressful finding parking at the premises and often we had to park far away or end our day early to ensure we had parking. The staff did not really care if we could not find parking. No one seemed overly bothered. Which is not comparable to other hotels...

We can heartly recommend Mariposa Hotel with their Team and the Location close to Flic en Flac and Le Mourne with the beautiful beaches with a lot of possible water activities. We stayed at The Bay for 5 weeks February/March. Overall experience at this small hotel was excellent. The staff were all charming and happy to help in any way. The food was very good, breakfast in particular with a variety of choices including fresh fruit and eggs cooked to order. Small hotel with super friendly staff and nice restaurant on the beach. Stayed two weeks in Mauritius. Started with 4 days in the bay and ended our stay here because we absolutely loved the place. Rooms are simple but well equipped and the restaurant has a very good price/quality.

it is a nice hotel with a good price-quality ratio. Situated right at the beach, but it has a very nice pool as well. You can have lunches and dinners in the hotel, but there are also several good restaurants within 10-15 minutes walk. Even though there is a bar and a restaurant in the hotel, it is never noisy in your room. I especially liked that the receptionist has asked for our passport copies...

What a great place to relax, enjoy some great food and a lovely view! We had the day pass which gave us access to the sun beds on the beach and also credit for lunch. The food was delicios and the service very friendly. We liked it so much that we visited The Bay for lunch for a second time, just before our flight back home.
