Reviews
I especially liked that the receptionist has asked for our passport copies in advance and filled in all the details, so we did not have to spend time on this upon arrival. We also booked a boat trip in advance.
It is not a luxury hotel, but it feels cozy. The beach is very beautiful, there are several boats in the water, but you can easily swim there.
The hotel provides a beach bag, which is a really nice addition. You get 2 bottles of water per day as well as tea/instant coffee.
Breakfasts were tasty, really fresh croissants and baguettes (they were much better than in a 5 star hotel where we went later) , but you only get filtered coffee, which is strange for me.
We booked an ocean view room and enjoyed a beautiful view from the terrace.
Minuses:
after lunch time all the sea beds are in the sun, so it is impossible to stay there. May be the hotel should move the umbrellas or to place different once.
Curries in the restaurant have a lot of rice but just a little bit of meat.
Last night was a special occasion and I specifically booked a special table for my wife's birthday.
We arrived about 10 minutes late only to be told our table was given way....
We ordered some drinks and water and the waitress disappeared. Some time later a different waitress came to take our drinks order again and left. After a considerable time without any response my wife had to go and request some water as she was particularly thirsty.
We both ordered a starter and a main course. My main course AND starter arrived at the same time, as did my wife's starter. Our waitress placed both my dishes in front of me...
My wife's order was delayed and only after I had finished both my meals did her main course arrive--which was very good.
The service was disjointed and sloppy and your service staff needs some training.
We love the view and the ambience but the service at times can be very disappointing.
The room was clean. Air condition worked well.
The staff was very friendly. They helped with taxi and tour reservations. Tip: hiking the Tamarin Waterfalls route with guide is highly recommended.
Breakfast was ala carte and delicious. We ate every dinner at hotel. Creolean cuisine is worth for ordering!
Pool was nice. Beach is right next to the hotel and there are sunbeds for guests.
Overall great getaway romantic hotel with human touch. Not too big, not too small.
Would go again!
