Very comfortable, close to center but still outside of it to get some silence.. the staff are very friendly and will take care of all your needs, great breakfast, rooftop with view, i enjoy here, will come back:))

Lovely hotel in a great location just off the main Durbar square in a very quiet side street. The place oozes character and charm. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. Room and bathroom was in excellent condition and a good size, We had a wonderful time here. Recommend!

Room was spacious and shower was hot. Bed very comfortable! Breakfast was included where they served us a mix of western and Nepali food offering as much as we wanted to eat! Staff answered all questions and found us an electric blanket to help stay warm at night. Highly recommend

The partners who are owners are lovely. They really made my stay at Tulaja and in Bhaktapur totally enjoyable! My room was more than adequate for one person. I enjoyed the rooftop views over the town and sitting in the lobby area to socialize. The location is very central to all of the cultural sites. The free breakfast was more than ample.”

We stayed for 7 nights and loved it! Lovely host family who can give great tips, activities and information about Bhaktapur, and breakfast was included daily! There is a lot of construction and redevelopment throughout Bhaktapur after the 2015 earthquake & also lots of vehicular traffic outside so don't expect it to be super quiet (earplugs for sleeping might help if you're a light sleeper) but the location, hospitality and room quality of Tulaja make it amazing regardless!
