My family and I have stayed at this hotel many times when visiting family in Den Helder over the years. We've managed to get a seaview room every time and love standing out on the balcony enjoying the breezes and the Texel ferry boats going back and forth. Service always good. Breakfast and restaurant are good. Only minor deal I have is lack of conveniently located plugs in the room to charge phones and computers. Prices have also gone up significantly since our last visit 2 1/2 years ago but all hotels have. The rooms could use some updating but they were clean and the beds comfortable.

I was on my way to go to Texel and had a terrible headache. The receptionist was so nice and gave me paracetamol. You saved my day, and my birthday. Thank you

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times, but after a break of a couple of years I was a bit disappointed this time. The hotel feels tired now, and it’s clear that no renovation has been done in quite a while.
Breakfast was the main downside. The included breakfast is served in a separate room facing the ferry terminal, while the main restaurant area with the sea view is only for paid à la carte items like a croissant or a proper cappuccino. The included breakfast itself was very weak: just two small trays – one with cheese and one with cold cuts – no vegetables at all. Hot options were also poor; the scrambled eggs were wet and not very appetizing.
Overall, it was okay but nothing special, and it’s a bit sad to see the quality drop like this. It feels like demand in Den Helder is high, but that shouldn’t be an excuse to let the hotel get so tired without any updates.

Loved the location. Comfortable room with a view of the sea! Caprese salad and fries at the Lamb's end restaurant for a late lunch were great after finishing a 33 mile bike ride!

Stayed one night on Thu 8th May 2025 as needed to be on early ferry to Texel on the Friday morning.
A superb hotel, nice interior, and great sea views.
The breakfast is good, at first looks like not much on offer, but there is a decent amount.

Although I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and always appreciated the quality and service, this time I experienced an issue with bedbugs in my room. Upon waking up in the morning, I discovered multiple bites, which were later confirmed to be from bedbugs. This was both frustrating and uncomfortable, detracting significantly from my otherwise positive experience.

Spent 2 nights at this lovely hotel. Had a seaview room with balcony and it was great. The view across to Texel was amazing. The staff at the hotel were excellent and made us very welcome. Hope to visit Den Helder again - its a very interesting place and we would stay at Lands End again .

The hotel is of good standard, great sea view rooms and Robin in the reception must be the best receptionist we have ever met, that said the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. We ordered a Burger that was excellent but the pork was dry and the mixes fish grill was extremely dry and and not pleasant. The staff in the restaurant is sufficiently pleasant but not particularly. Shame as the hotel is a must stay.

Outstanding view, large rooms, great staff! This hotel sits on the very edge of the coast with a view of Texel Island. Near a bustling port area, but vibrant. Restaurant is great with outside terrace. Rooms are very comfortable and shower water pressure was very welcome 😁

Great place to stay whilst biking the LF Kustrooute and right next to the Texel ferry. Friendly check in staff, secure bike storage and a nice early start to breakfast. I had an excellent room with a sea view across to Texel. or at least I would have had if the weather hadn't been awful but that's hardly the hotels fault! I'd definitely stay here again if I ride this section of coast again.
