Stayokay Arnhem - Hostel in Arnhem

Pros: amazing facilities and surroundings. Beautiful forest neighborhood. The house is on a hill which gives a tree house view. Nice lounge areas and bar area. Beds are comfortable enough. Nice neighborhood and woods to walk around in. Good grocery store a short walk away. Breakfast in included, but basic European breakfast.

Cons: weird roommates can still make for a bad experience if traveling solo. The “lockers” in rooms don't lock. I don't mean you need to bring your own pad lock, which is normal. I mean there is no way to lock the locker doors at all. You might be in a room with 7 other strangers, by the way. Also, there are only a few, inconveniently located electrical outlets in rooms. Each bed does not have its own charging outlet, nor does it even have a pouch or shelf to put your phone. One of the rooms I was in had 8 beds and 6 lockers.

Superrr nice very clean nice rooms in super cute little forest and the hostel is super nice atmosphere and costumer service was very good

This place is fantastic. I wish I could have stayed somewhere similar every leg of my journey. Great value, helpful staff, a basic but well thought out room, wonderful setting.

Nice hostel in a very safe area. Bike storage on site via a bike shed which is locked at night.
Probably a 30 minute walk downhill to the centre.

I had to look for a stay late night and the friendly lady at the reception was more than willing to accommodate me. I’m really grateful for that. The bed was comfortable and the overall place was clean. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic - I loved the bread.

Although it is located in Arnhem, it still gives a feeling of being in the middle of the woods. The room is clean, pratical as to be expected from a youth hostel. Beds are better than in other youth hostels and the social area felt very welcoming and homely. Staff was friendly and professional. So far the best youth hostel we have stayed in within the netherlands.

Excellent location, just a few minutes drive from the city centre. Friendly staff. Simple yet filling breakfast. Ample activities in the Communal room. Free parking outside the gates, however those with bigger cars need to be careful how you park as the road is narrow.

Excellent stopping point. 8 person room used so military style living required. On site bar with friendly staff breakfast is nice and the staff happily provided a pack up breakfast knowing we were leaving at 5am for the return flight. Recommend a car if you're doing the battlefield tour grounds as its a bit out the way but if you have time and energy a bicycle may be fine.
