Stad & Strandhotel Elisabeth in Vlissingen

I have stayed at this hotel several times because my employer arranges my accommodation here. Unfortunately, every time I experienced serious cleanliness issues that have never been properly addressed.

The towel radiator is always dirty and clearly hasn't been cleaned in a long time. Under the bed is very dusty, and once I found a leftover pizza box from a previous guest — a clear sign that rooms are not being checked thoroughly.

In the bathroom, there were visible urine stains around the toilet. The toilet bowl itself was dirty, and since there is no ventilation, bad smells stay for a long time after use.

The curtains release a lot of dust when touched, and the shelf near the mirror (where guests usually place personal items like toothbrushes or razors) is often dusty and stained. The mirrors and surrounding surfaces are also usually covered in smudges.

I also experienced itching after sleeping in the bed, which raises concern about the possible presence of bedbugs.

Another issue is that there is often no one at the reception desk. If you need help or want to report a problem, there is simply no staff available. This makes it difficult to solve even small issues during your stay.

Based on my personal experience, this hotel does not meet basic hygiene or service standards. I hope the management will take these issues more seriously. The location is good, but unfortunately, nothing else justifies the condition of the hotel.
