The hotel was as friendly as ever, particularly at the excellent Reception Desk. The gentleman there was super personable and immaculately professional. I also liked the breakfast experience at the restaurant. It was certainly a cut above in terms of dining out in Palmerston North.

The room was clean and tidy, but there was no air conditioning which really made for an uncomfortable nights sleep, the reason we stopped in before our drive up north.

I hosted an event for our Martial Arts group here, and also stayed here with my family in conjunction with the event. Our stay was excellent - great price, excellent services, nice rooms, great location, fantastic food. Doug helped me with facilitating the event at their Carlton 2 room and he was very helpful and patient with my requests. Food was excellent, terrific service, and great facilities....

I had the pleasure of being served by Teills, on her first night on the job as the restaurant supervisor. Your energy and customer focus is an inspiration to anyone in a service industry. Keep up the good work!

We stayed in the old part of this hotel. Would recommend not doing this. It’s very dated and needs a make over. The price was out of whack with the rest of palmy and overpriced for what it is and where it is. The manager was excellent and the service good but needed a few more comforts for the price. Avoid attached restaurant as that is over priced as well. We have stayed before and the new accomodation...

This hotel was great, it’s close to any amenities you might need and the staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Our room was a very generous size with a very comfortable bed and beautiful view. It deserves a much better review score than it currently has in our opinion.

Convenient location as close to everything. Room was clean, bathroom not as much. They have a pretty temu air conditioning set up which let's out a humming sound every 5 minutes that sounds either like a coffee machine or waterblaster. Is that was fixed, rooms would be 4-5 star. Comfy bed with no gap in the middle!

Nice place to stay and very central

Hotel is refurbished and it all looks fresh and clean. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed, good lighting and a great bathroom with good shower. Easy walk to square. Thanks to Trip, we had a very good deal

Location was central close to everything (with in walking distance). Reception was extremely helpful, room was clean and spacious. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

The room was clean and staff were pleasant and helpful.. the only annoying thing was the pitty full amount of milk that was left in the fridge for my arrival coffee.. a well posted reception night light would be good too i was from out of town and didn't know my way around..

Friendly and welcoming staff. Clean and comfortable Room. Some of the Interior appeared a bit tired. Buffet breakfast was delicious - although some of the hot food was only warm on the day we dined. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

I paid for a room and when I arrived there The reception was locked, as they close from 10 till 2pm and it was 11.30am. I wasn't able To pick up a key, for later as i wasn't going to be back till 9 PM and they shut at 8 PM. So the hours werent working for me so left and found another motel that had hours 7.30am to 9pm , no locked reception, people around all day like a normal motel...huntington...

Staff member very friendly. Room adequate although had trouble with tv. That got fixed quickly. But phone also didnt go. Grouting in shower was all discoloured. Toilet leaked causing a slip. Half a loaf of bread left presumeably by prevoous client left at top of cupboard.

First time staying in a holiday park cabin and it was a lovely experience. The booking was done last minute and I was able to upgrade without any hassle. We stopped in here passing through Palmerston North. Had everything we needed. Rooms clean and comfy. Kettle and fridge in the room, which was perfect for what we needed. There was a hairdryer iron and ironing board in the room to which is great. Cheap and cheerful would stay again if passing through.

The room is good. Two comfortable beds and a reasonable bathroom. Reception was friendly but hands off. Introduce yourself and you’re given a key, that’s it. Good breakfast places nearby

The room was clean and the bed comfy. However, the electrical switch by kitchen bench is broken as was the one by the bed. This is a safety issue. The bathroom had mould in places and a hole in the wall at floor level under window. Overall the unit needs some maintanance to bring it up to standard.

Light bulbs didn’t work. 2 elements out of 4 only worked on hotplates. Fridge broken and kept freezing my food. Management informed and helped where necessary. Motel itself was good. Clean, good value, everything worked, pool and trampoline. Kitchen was reasonably equipped. Really close to the hospital, cafe next door.

Room spotless. Did not have many interactions with staff apart from check-in which went smoothly. I had to leave prior to the office opening as I had to be at the hospital by 7am.

The space was great,all we needed,and surprisingly quite being so close to a main road . Very central to the town and all amenities, however the room could do with some cosmetic fixing up .And dish liquid would also be helpful for washing up the dishes provided, especially on extended stays.

Very spacious and light room (upstairs) with ensuite bathroom, had everything we needed for one night. Close to the CBD and quiet at night.

Room was dark and in need of a full refurbishment. Stayed for 6 nights and on one occasion bed wasn’t made, rubbish not collected and only 1 towel replaced. Motel was hard to find because hedge is growing over the sign and signage on the building doesn’t show up very well. TV so small it was difficult to watch. Overall the place just looks very tired.

The bed was not great, we rolled together in the middle of king size bed. The toilet could possibly be replaced with new and the shrub was stained.

My partner and I stayed at A'La Vista Motel for the first time recently. The location is definitely a plus – it's really handy and we enjoyed being able to walk into the central square easily. We found the room to be reasonably clean, though perhaps not the most sparkling we've ever seen. The motel is quite dated and, in our opinion, felt a bit overpriced for what it offered. The Big Five was not my first choice (the motel I had originally booked was full) but I am very glad for fate to intervene. We stayed in this property for a week during a family visit to Palmy. The property is very centrally located within a short walking distance to almost everything. The room is very clean and the climate control unit functions highly efficient. The staff was very friendly.

The motel was acceptable, but unfortunately, the TV didn't have a smart TV option. Regarding cleanliness, the only thing I can say is that the spa pool was a bit dirty. Otherwise, it's recommended for a short stay in Palmy.

The kitchen bench is very small. A kettle and a big toaster, there was no room for a plate. I suggest a smaller toaster. The tea towel was not a good drying fabric. I liked the idea of a dark make up flannel
