We booked and paid for a Premium Queen room (54 sq m, bath, double bed & single bed, quiet view of street). However, we were given a smaller room, and when we pointed out that this was not what we booked we were moved to another small room: a King room (29 sq m, no bath, only a king bed, view over the metal roof tops).
The staff realised that the initial room had been incorrectly categorised, but we never got any compensation for this downgrade. (They pretended it was an upgrade)

The hotel is in city. Many restaurant and shopping around. The parking is just a building next, but it was quite full (Hotel Lot) during office hour. The room is comfortable.

The main reason to go to Invercargill is to check in at the world's southernmost Starbucks. Etc. The hotel parking lot is in the public parking lot diagonally opposite. You need to register your license plate at the front desk before you can park, but it is free. There is a shopping mall in Invercargill and the world's southernmost Starbucks near the hotel. There is also a Queen's Park to visit. The town is not big and not crowded and very quiet.

Nice hotel located near Invercargill train station with free parking opposite the building.
Check in is fast and all the information is explained by the receptionist.
The room size is ok for me, but there is no air conditioner in it. Wifi connection is free and most of the necessary amenities are provided in the room.
