Great receptionist at night. Nice hotel. Nice breakfast. Got room 251, also ok but music noise from the street om a tuesday 0100 at night, so not so great. But, all in all probably the best hotel in arendal.

I had a great experience staying in Arendal at Thon Hotel. GREAT service at reception 0-24 hours, as i checked in late night. The beds and duvet- pillows were comfortable, the room was nice and with a classic style. And a woow experience breakfast with a wide selection. As an artist-performer, this gave me a great start for the day and a good fundation for a successful performance later on. One little...

On the left side of the bed there was an uncomfortable crease that made it nearly impossible to sleep. The staff asked us upon check-in if we’d been there before. We answered «no», then I was not given directions for the elevator, I had to ask how we got to our room. Only one pack of sugar free sweetener next to the kettle in our room. The breakfast was one of the highlights.

Cool hotel closely located to city centre. Few eateries nearby convenient as well. There was also a kiwi within walkable distance to grab anything you might need

We loved this charming hotel in an even more charming town. The breakfast was great. There are lots of shops just outside the front door and the parking garage is literally next door. Don’t miss the chocolatier, Heimdal, just down the street. Highly recommend.

Just ok The hotel itself is ok- the name is a bit misleading, as there is nothing “grand” about this hotel. We got a room on the backside of the hotel with just a tiny window. If you stay here, insist on the front. The housekeeping was in our room, but didn’t do the bed.

Perfect for five One of very few hotels where you can book for a family of FIVE, without having to get a big suite. Two connecting rooms with bunk beds for 3 in one room, and a double bed in the other. You'll find hotels with more luxury than this one, but the reasonable price and the room structure makes this our number one choice in the area. Strategic location to groceries, bus terminal and shopping mall

Trangt og dårlig komfort Extremely small room. Uncomfortable bed. Sewer smell from shower drain. Blinds/screens on window would automatically rise, even when shut.

Veldig små rom/seng . Lite men ok bad. Heilt fint for 1 eller 2 overnattinger

Varmt, ingen aircondition. Litt harde senger, men ellers fint hotell.

The check in was messy through what seemed like a backdoor. No TV. Humidity smell. Cigarrete tails at the entrance and bugs in the bathroom. Luckily only two nights. Quick stay OK! Descent packed breakfast.

Of course when you don't book a 5 stars what you pay is what you get! Nevertheless I did feel a bit unsafe upon arrival as this is not a traditional "hotel". First of all a couple of sketchy looking guys on the front door. Then a bunch of cigarettes butt (appreciate they where in jar) but still :( Then a big miss was not to put a TV in the room. After a long day it is much needed at least a TV down...

Rooms were perfectly adequate if a little sparse (no TV either) but very clean and functional. Quiet too with a basic but good breakfast. Perfectly fine for a few nights in Arendal.

Greit hotel for en kort opphold

Historic place with tours and history of the place available. This is a theme hotel where you can really learn and get an understanding of how life in prison is. Focus is to prevent young people from entering a criminal life. Hosts are very welcoming and open about all aspects of prison life. Highly recommended.

The restaurant have some damn good pizza and great servise. Didn't rent a room so don't know about that.

Went for the first time to this restaurant this week. We combined ordering pizza with a quiz night - It was fun although we came in last.... The restaurant was quite full, so it took some time before the pizzas arrived, but drinks were served quickly before that, so no problem. Wonderful place, super hospitality. I could feel like being at home. Great kitchen / dining room and super living room. The walls are decorated with paintings. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable. There's a beautiful conference centre/ restaurant, too. Awesome destination ideas.

Excellent restoration/ conversion of a barn to a cozy hotel. Great location. Friendly landlady. Basic but good breakfast. The room and washroom were extremely clean. Definitely not the value for money. There is nothing except asphalt parking spots and tiny grass spots if you go with a camper. Electricity and showers are extra. Our electricity was cut off in the middle of the night, thankfully the lady who works there was reachable via phone and she fixed it.

Very very clean campsite. New toilet and shower buildings. Very nice RV spots. Parking on asphalt and your awnings on grass. 8/9 minutes walk to Grimstad center. Swimming pool, restaurant on the campsite and a grocery store next to it.

It's a good place to spend a weekend or holiday, walking distance from Grimstad center, if you want to visit Kristiansand Zoo, you can stay here and drive, cheaper than many places in near Zoo.

Super service. I got in really late on check in day. They left the key for me to pick up in designated spot. Which I found without problems. Nice, clean and pleasant apartment with everything I needed for my three night stay there. Better standard than I expected.
