House in Irkutsk Region

The flight from Shanghai to Irkutsk takes 4 hours (Aeroflot, very fast), followed by a 6-hour drive, a 10-minute boat ride, and another 40-minute drive. Add to that all the other waiting times, and my first night in Russia was exceptionally pleasant... especially after nightfall, when it became a very peaceful village. We stayed in Khuzhir village for four nights. Since we couldn't book four consecutive nights, we changed rooms at the hotel. The new room was more comfortable and had a more practical layout. The hotel restaurant was also a highlight. Lake Baikal is very cold in winter, and we ate dinner there every day. There was a charcoal fire for warmth, singers performed, and occasionally there were impromptu...

The good points: 1. Hot water in the room is readily available and unlimited. 2. The heating is excellent; even at -30 degrees Celsius, the room is perfectly warm. 3. The deluxe room has floor-to-ceiling glass doors with a fantastic view. 4. The hotel has a restaurant that is absolutely delicious; it was rated the best meal we had in Russia by other members of our group. 5. The spa is worth trying...

The hotel partners with travel agencies and hosts many tour groups. It's passable, but not great value for money.

It's not very close to the lake, so a lake-view room isn't necessary. The rooms are clean and well-equipped, and there's a swimming pool. The restaurant has a nice view and the food is pretty good, but it's too expensive—four times the price of what you'd find on the island.

The facilities meet the requirements and the hygiene is very good. The front desk helped me find glue to stick my shoes on. Thank you very much. Dear friends, you must wear outdoor shoes when you come to Olkhon Island. The roads here are too expensive.

You go in and you immediately find an ECO hotel: the smell of wood, wooden walls, high ceilings, modest but cozy. A pleasant and sociable administrator will meet you, place you and give you tea.

Nice authentic antique hotel. Not far from the 130th quarter. Poor soundproofing. When they walk along the corridor, it creaks inside the room (apparently, the costs of authenticity :))

The hotel is cute, clean, it smells like wood everywhere 😍🤤 the staff is great, they tiptoe, considering the audibility, just super. Hairdryer is available upon request, but no bathrobes. Maybe I slept like I was killed from travel, maybe there was no one, but it was quiet, and in the morning the visitor ate loudly and I woke up. In the evening I decided to drink tea on the second floor, on the veranda...

The room is cozy, accessories are available, incl. toothbrushes. But there was no hair dryer - consider who needs it. The dinner (at least the one we chose) was quite so-so. But it's nice that you could choose any convenient time, even after midnight. Breakfast is quite satisfactory, although it is far from ideal. In general, I liked it)

A wonderful hotel! Clean, comfortable, original! Still love the mini-hotels. Sound permeability, however, is incredible 🙈, you can hear everything and everyone ... this is perhaps the only negative. The location is quite close to block 130 (center) and Angara.

The hotel is located in a quiet street and close to the city touristic places, such as Babr platz and the Central Market. They have a good selection of meals, and you can choose it on the previous day. Everything I tried was delicious, especially Muesli and the rice porridge. This hotel is an absolute delight. The view from the room was beautiful. Bed was cozy, shower was superb. Plenty of power outlet for charging. Wonderful staff and hearty breakfast. Yes there's a flight of stairs that you must take to reach the reception therefore probably not suitable if you're travelling with many luggage. Friendly people that make delicious meals. Breakfast is great, and if you want you can have a freshly prepared dinner (extra cost). The view on the lake is amazing. If you love hiking the start of the Great Baikal Trail is close. Also the rooms are super cosy

This place is amazing! Its very cozy, clean and the views are very nice! Also the woman working here is very lovely and always helps, and she can speak english! The food is also delicious! The place is 10min walk from Baikal lake which is very beautiful! I came in winter and it's been a great experience! I would definitely stay here again♥

We enjoyed a filling breakfast each morning. Room was comfortable, spacious and warm. Shower was noisy and we only got a half roll of toilet paper for two days (not enough for two females). Great views.

Much about this place deserves a higher rating: attractive, wood-lined, clean, comfortable, generous-sized rooms with balcony; hearty, tasty, reasonably-priced meals; a warm, friendly hostess (Maria) with enough English, who can't do enough for you; excellent wifi. Lovely place to stay with friendly and helpful manager Maria. Excellent breakfast and evening meals. Efficient and very reasonably priced laundry service, which we really appreciated after a couple of weeks traveling! Our clothes were not only washed, but ironed as well. Nothing too much trouble and I would highly recommend this chalet to anyone, as long as stairs not an issue.
