- The night we checked in I noticed stains on the pillowcase. It was to late to ask to change it, so we decided to leave it until next morning. We specifically asked to change the pillow case and clean the room. When we came back after a 4 hour walk the room was still not cleaned. I called the reception and they said that they are preparing the rooms for other guests, which is not really client friendly. Then we had a plumbing problem. The toilet was stinking so badly, I couldn’t even enter however the plumber came and gave me an aroma stick to replace the smell with the scent of the stick. As creative as it could get, it’s not pleasant to have to face these problems on vacation. I definitely won’t recommend this hotel.

- Many more things I didn’t like, e.g. : only one face towel provided for two people. When I asked for the second one, the receptionist first promised to bring it immediately, but on second thoughts said that there were no extra towels available. The internet was ghastly, especially in the evening. The bathroom was so tiny, one could only squeeze into it with some effort. To cut a long story short, I have sworn it has been the last time I have booked a 3* hotel; only 4 or 5 * in the future!

- A novice and dishonest business that I would definitely not recommend. First of all, when I arrived at the hotel to check in, they tried to give me a different room other than the one I had booked. When I refused, they told me to contact Ostrovok. Although I insistently told them that I had a long flight and that they should give me the room I had booked, they directed me to the site I had booked. I told them that I would not accept this and that they should show me my reservation on their screen. They tried to deceive me by showing me someone else's reservation. I immediately realized this and after I told them they were liars, they gave in and gave me the right room. But the problems did not end. One midnight at 3 a.m. the fire alarm went off and we were woken up in a hurry. We called the lobby and asked for information but the phone was hung up on us. After waiting for a while, we went to the lobby and got information and they said it was a system error and apologized. Apart from these, I was not satisfied with the hotel at all. We were given 2 single beds instead of a double bed and the beds were constantly separated from each other and there was a gap between the beds. Our sleep was not pleasant at all. Room cleaning was done in a sloppy way. When we first checked in, I saw that the toilet and shower were dirty and cleaned them myself. So in summary, I definitely do not recommend this business. I had a very bad experience.

+ It is two steps away from metro station, never sleeping Nevskiy and beautyful Alexandrinsky theater on Ostrovsky square. Hotel offers good highly carbonated sparkling water for breakfast, i liked it- There is no kettle in a room. Shared kettle is usually absent, taken by other guests.

This is a very good option for a city hotel. Located practically in the very center of St. Petersburg, a five-minute walk from the metro and within walking distance from the Palace Square.
The room is very compact, but since such hotels only spend the night, this is not a significant drawback.
Breakfast is quite normal, and if you are not a finicky gourmet, you will definitely not stay hungry.
The price of the room is quite adequate: all other accommodation options in this area are much more expensive.
Usually, for the St. Petersburg climate, air conditioning is not very relevant, but we arrived in the midst of the summer heat. Since there is no air conditioning in the room, the window had to be opened. But at two o'clock in the morning, a group of hotel guests, returning from a walk, continued the banquet right under the windows. In general, it was not possible to sleep normally.
The coincidence of these circumstances somewhat blurred the impression of the hotel.
To be fair, there are no complaints about the soundproofing of the room, and if, due to the heat, it was not necessary to open the window, everything would be more comfortable.
In general, I advise you to study the weather forecast before your trip, however, this advice is always relevant for St. Petersburg.
